Nord Piano 3 Repair - Fixing Bad Notes - Contact Strip Replacement, Key Removal Instructions

Tips on how to fix notes not sounding, not at correct velocity, key removal, unit disassembly. Maybe some other Nord units are the same, but I have seen there isn't a lot of info on the Nord Piano units. Use these tips to make the repairs faster.

Thank you VERY MUCH for posting this video. I had a few keys near C4 that were either playing inconsistent or full velocity. I noticed the contact plugs were inverted, and upon further inspection of the backside of the silicon contact strips, they were in fact torn.

Hey! Can you clarify what you mean by inconsistent? Is the inconsistency very noticeable or are you really reeeally nitpicking at it? Thanks!

I tried to open my Nord Piano 3 today ( the sustain port where you insert the plug for the pedal is very loose) .. I did remove all screws but something still holding the red plastic cover .. I was afraid to break it .. can anyone tell me what I am missing.. or just need to apply more force to remove it ??

How do you disconnect the ribbon cables at 1:06?
