That drummer, just love him! Facial expressions and all. He's just cranking and cranking the beat away. I love how he moves with the music. Who could not be motivated to play on a stage with a cast of first rate musicians like that? And what a stellar song - it will never go put of style. And Mr. Beck happily driving the bus along adding his magic.
Blue Lew ,,, sunglassed sax player ,,, good friends ,,, what a classic example of good music
The drummer is Stephen Rushton. One of a kind!
Steve Rushton, the greater drummer you have never heard of
Peter Gunn is one of those iconic pieces that never gets old. That drummer was literally joyous playing for this song. And then there is the great Jeff Beck...
This is what top notch musicianship sounds like.
Yessss - thank you
Beck does the greatest covers of the old tunes. I love his cover of Over the Rainbow.
EPIC👍
That drummer was Sensational 👏👏👏
Brass section were stella☺☺☺
Just amazing. Jeff and. The band
Wow. Just wow.
What a ride!
What a sound!
What a group!
What a performance!
(Well-deserved thunderous applause! Standing ovation! Shouts of 'Bravo! Bravo!')
Well-done, all!
Thanx so much, Hans-Joachim, for sharing this little treasure!
To darling Jeff, and the other fabulous musicians, thanx so so very very much, gentle men, for the magic, music, and memories.
Wow. Wish I could've been there.
Thank you, thank you very much - a highlight for me!
Greetings and "JAZZ ON"
@@gurksel 👍😊
Fantastic ! RIP Jeff one of the VERY best guitar players , will be sadly missed
The drumer is a genius!
+romumak mumat
He speeds up. When he knocks your door it's already speeding up on the 3rd beat.
We should all enjoy our jobs as much as this fellow does his.
He reminds me of that crazy drummer who's "at the wrong gig". Lol.

It's versatile
Saw this live in Chicago. Amazing music.. And I went expecting regular old Jeff Beck. It was great!
Jeff is the master, love his playing.
I know what you mean, but I gotta ask, is there such a thing as "regular old Jeff Beck"? He's one of the very few musicians who keeps evolving, no?
@@thomaskelly3362 Jeff is the "Master", national treasure, in a class all of his own. Another point, he is so humble pertaining to his skill and talent.
saw beck over 50 times from 1968 to present and he is by far the most inovative of any guitar player my fave albums TRUTH, BECK OLA, BLOW BY BLOW and anything in the last ten or 15 years.................................BECK RULES
60 years ago and it still sounds cool .
That's as googd a rendition of the Peter Gunn Theme as I've ever heard, and I used to watch the series on TV in black & white!!
Look at the horn section. Some amazing talent.
Yes indeed! I thought that was Blue Lou on the bari sax. Checked the description to confirm it. ;o)
I LOVE seeing bands on small stages, up close and personal. A rare thing.
Great to see a brass band rock it out ! Awesome
Man oh man it just doesn't get any better than this.
Seen Jeff Beck perform live 62 times!! He's the best!!
Saw the There & Back tour
Love my man Jeff
You superfan
Lucky you, agree, he is the best, love his playing, magical.
Wow, that trombone player was just tearin' it up. Nice. And that drummer -- man, he's good.
That's Troy Andrews, a.k.a. Trombone Shorty.
WHAT A TROMBONE PLAYER 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊☝☝☝☝👏the BEST I'VE EVER SEEN f
great great Drumming .
Awesome version of *"Peter Gunn"!*
that is one damn good brass section
Great concert dvd !!!
What a performance with this great talent! Jeff Beck and company are simply awesome!
Jeff wearing a blue cap, paying homage to Gene Vincent, Cliff Gallup, Dickie" bebop" Harrell & all the "blue caps", way to go Jeff !!!!!
Excellent video, it is good to see Lou Marini and the band Imelda May.
i have been looking for this music 16 year pass and finally i found it today
Give Jeff Beck six strings & tell him any type of genre of music & the man can play it & play it better than pretty much anyone else alive. He's the Guv'nor, the Man, The G.O.A.T., & he is my favourite guitarist of all time.
❤
Imelda May was spectacular in this concert too. The whole concert was fantastic
This might be the most bad ass version of this ever
When Henry wrote this for a tv show I bet he never dreamed how many other artists would cover this.
Jeff Beck does a fabulous version of Little Wing, not All Along the Watch Tower, but Jeff's version of it is amazing!!!
It rocks, it swings...................brilliant!
Omg how wonderful!!!
Jeff Beck was a great admirer of Gene Vincent and The Blue Caps, especially the lead guitarist Cliff Gallup. Great to see him don a Blue Cap halfway through ! -- The thoughts of Kerry Rapid ! ! !
That drummer is killing it!!! I wish all drummers were so professional!
Hermoso, bello, lindo.....ESPECTACULAR!!! TEMAZO....
What a groove!
Purchased this on dvd the other day. Just returned from a friends house where we watched it on his 48" flat screen and the audio through a 150 watt amp and Bose 901's. Holy smokes! This whole concert ROCKED! I highly recommend watching this on a big screen and a good sound system. Love those horns, man. Talk about a wall of sound, woo-hoo!
Killer!!!
Wonderful !
The best version there is of this song.
Right here…..
Ударник супер!Оригинальное исполнение!
The one and only Mr Jeff Beck..♥️🎸🔥💋
Hot damn that was special
Great stuff. Funny as always the 2nd chick with the stick - Mr. Stephen Rushton.
Listened to ALL versions of this song on RUclips, even the original with the late Henry Mancini and my conclusion: AIN'T NO COMPARISON to these guys!! This is a bad ass song and you have to be bad ass to play and feel the music!! Watch the original Peter Gunn TV series, he was as bad ass as he could be for the TV back then. Very conservative censors back then. Remember, married people couldn't even sleep in the same bed on TV back then.
Epic!
Phenomenal horn section solos!
GENIAL!
Saw Jeff at the Beacon last nite - AWESOME!
IS THAT THE BEACON AT WHITEHAVEN
@@vickersable It was NYC
I so remember that when I was a kid!
Yes, it is Blue Lou Marini - Baritone Saxophone. You can see the lineup. Click on "show" - Best regards and "JAZZ ON"
My greatest appreciation to the brass! So thrilling to listen to.
Phenomenal!
The time keeper knows what to do!
Trombone Shorty. Sweet.
great classic frm the blues bros movie...yaaa...
Love the drummer
Gotta love a great trombone lick. Just loop the clip and listen. So good.
Dat trombone!
I never knew there was also a version of this with male vocals . Something about a guy sick of a relationship and moving on (angry heartbroken male type stuff, just the sort of feeing the music expresses so well). I heard the vocal version first time tonight on local radio. I expected it to sound dreadful sung as I was used to just the instrumental version. But was surprised how good is sounded with the vocals..The perfect song to put on your home music system then turn up the volume. As the background music for your last big domestic row, when the man decides he's had enough and storms off....Great stuff.
Wow that's interesting. Link please?
Trombone was excellent
Leo Green rock's on sax....... 👍👍👍👍
Isso sim é musica, cultura, não essas coisas de hoje.
Excelente!
100 % Kickass !
Who cares what guitar was used, this is a brilliant performance, I absolutely loved it.
The trombone player and part is... I just can't find the words, people. I am speechless!
Yes we all know about Jeff's legendary artistic temper but from what i know about it , it was just artistic. Better be A plus game if you want to perform with Jeff. Jeff Beck is one of the greatest guitarists of all time but I have come to admire him for just being an all around, well rounded lover of music .
Agree "the best of all time" by a mile.
its a fukn classic!! another CLASSIC vesion of P Gunn, when you see Jeff Beck, you know great mucisians !!
Brilliant
At the end, when Jeff hugs the trombone player, he whispered "I put that blue hat on just for you".
Father Guitar 🎸Les Paul Rest in Peace Saw 👀this DVD 📀😢
the best!
Blue Lou Marini - Baritone Saxophone, Leo Green with the sax solo Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews - Trombone, Awesome!
Jeff Beck is great!
My God. How does one top this??? It can't be done. The horn players blew their fool heads off; magnificent performance. Jeff is his usual expected genius guitarist. The drummer is beyond great! I think Henry Mancini would have loved this. What a gem. Thank you for posting this sensational video Hans.❤❤❤😊😊😊.
keep coming back to this one ! Wouldn't be the same without the Gretsch behind him
ROCK IN THE VAINS. GIYS !
I've played on a mouthpiece that the tenor player (Leo Green) used to own :D
yea man, give it some attitude! It's refreshing to hear an old favorite in the 21st c. going higher. Thanx.
Jeff tocando con púa!!!!
special!
Genial
Blue Lou Marini!!!!!!
Apart from Blue Lou Marini and Trombone Shorty, Beck has Imelda May's entire band behind him.
Virtuosos
one of the best theme songs around.think gene barry played peter gunn
My preferred theme song.
And Blue Lou Marini from The Blues Brothers Band
Glory.
RIP Jeff Beck.
Funny enough this eight notes theme is often played the wrong way: Sometimes
possibly on purpose but often by accident. The notes here? e - e - fis - e - g - e - a - gis
and it is all about the last note Gis, often played as a G. Mancini's original contains a
Gis while the Emerson, Lake and Palmer version has been played with a G as the last
note. Jeff' version is wisely played with a Gis! This theme is one of the first things
I'm learning my guitar pupils. They really like it and (if possible) all their fingers are
involved: In tabs on the lowest (sounding) string: 0 - 0 - 2 - 0 - 3 - 0 - 5 - 4 starting with
the index finger in the second position.
This was the theme song to a T.V. detective show from the 50's. the main character's name -Peter Gunn.
Check out the other Henry Mancini crime drama theme - Mr. Lucky. Not as well known but good too. I had the album in the 60's. Loved Mancini.
the drums are earning there money tonight folks
Classy
IT'S THE CAFE ROCKERS !!!ANTHEM 👊👊👊👊👊👍👍👍👍✌✌✌👏1958 STILL the BOLLOX g
Fucking A!! The trombone player tears the roof off the place...
Love the brass too. By the way, it's pretty much a one chord song, isn't it, musicians?
