Belated Christmas and New Year greetings to you! I generally do not like canister stoves because of the lack of ability to recycle the cans but just an FYI the Monatauk stoves I use consume about 10 to 15g of fuel per cook meal.
@phr1sk37 Strange you mention recycling, that 'thingie' the gas cannister came with is designed to puncture it so you can recycle it. BUT I am waiting for someone to figure out how to turn used gas cannisters into alcohol stoves.
I think the Swedish alcohol stove to which you're referring is a Trangia. I love mine. Those things are totally foolproof.

Msr makes very nice and reasonably priced stoves that are tiny and will fit I. Your glovebox.
