We had an amazing night and experience at The Samuel. The highlight was the wine pairing. Every bottle was the most perfect vintage and some very rare to acquire. We were told they often go to auctions to find their wines.
The food was simple and produce driven, which in comparison to other meals we've had, left us wanting a little more. It's chef Berntsens philosophy to use the best ingredients without too much manipulation and let the product shine, which is exactly what he did. Our perspective is simply based on personal opinion.
The cheese pairing, again, very unique to this experience and was another highlight for us. Although, not all were delicious, definitely a lovely experience to try.
Our recommendation is - we'd go back just to relive the wine pairings again, as they were all incredibly unique, all vintages, and some of the most rich and deep and flavourful wines we've ever had!
