alt-J on the druggy festival experience behind 'U&ME'

Nine years ago alt-J played Best Kept Secret as the buzz band of the moment with debut album ‘An Awesome Wave’ fresh under their arm. This year the band returned on a headline slot to celebrate their new album ‘The Dream’ and to celebrate the return to a normal festival life. For the band, the last two years without any festivals where pretty though. Luckily they had a druggy festival experience from Joe to write ‘U&ME’ about during the pandemic.

Wow, he was in Australia on the 1st of January 2020, having a good time with some interesting mind altering drugs.... Australia was on fire at the time, mega fire storms! We lost 55 National Parks. The whole of the East coast burned down to the ground.... Where the hell was he having a good time? We are still recovering from that trauma. Where was he???
