Civic hands down! Its bigger in size and interior space. Civic has a "German-like" look. The Corolla is trying too hard. But at the end of the day, it looks like an appliance rental car.
the honda looks much better honestly, but not liking the +1000$$ , in my opinion they put that price cause they think people will believe its a better car just cause of price. Still waiting for 2023s
Toyota hands down. I just drove my son from Staten Island New York to Dallas Texas in two days in a 2003 Toyota Corolla LE, about 1,700 miles. Except for the road noise was actually pretty enjoyable. I would’ve loved this new 2023 Toyota Corolla during this trip. Nonetheless, Toyota all the way ! Love Toyota/Lexus, most reliable cars ! My 2002 Lexus ES300 has 171k miles and with new struts Rides like It just came out the showroom floor, tight luxurious solid and super quiet!
It would have been helpful to call out and compare the advanced safety features of both - adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane keep warning and/or assist, cross traffic warning, etc. For future videos. Well done comparison between these two!
Hey Jeff!, I must say that this comparison is classic. That being said I’ve had two civics; while they weren’t the current or previous generation, my old 08 and 99 was decent but Corollas of those years were decent as well. I know have a 2018 Tacoma SR, but I’ve driven the 10th gen civic and current gen Corolla to be honest I prefer the Corolla a little more mostly because it still has a N/A engine. I also like the styling more on the Corolla especially on the SE and XSE trim levels!
I sat in both as I was looking for a Camry XSE and a Touring Accord. Overall styling I like the Corolla but it felt more cheap than the Civic, fit and finish has to go to Honda in both Camry and Accord. Oh and I went with the 22 Touring Accord.
Jeff, We need the next Corolla to be the size of the Civic but with better rear headroom. At this time they don't even seem to be in quite the same category. While we are waiting for the next generation, Toyota could, at least, bring us the highly practical and extremely efficient AWD, Hybrid Corolla wagon . 🤔
I ended up choosing a new Corolla SE over the Civic. In most ways for me it was a coin toss even if I do slightly prefer the Civic’s interior. I like the silhouette of the Civic more but the Corolla looks more interesting overall. What sealed the deal was the pricing. The MSRP numbers are what they are but the Corolla ended up being a couple thousand cheaper after the dealerships got their hands on them even if I had to fight for a car that didn’t have thousands in dealer add-ons installed.
I’ll be Honest Jeff, I’m a huge Toyota fan. However, Honda pulls ahead here on many points. (Interior and exterior looks) That said. I still believe the Toyota will be Problem free 5 or 10 years down the road with 100’s of thousand miles on it. Vs the Honda which will most likely be Plagued with issues in just a few short years regardless of the mileage.. again. This is my own opinion, but also having owned both Honda and Toyota products for hundreds of thousand miles on both brands
Toyota is not the best brand , I hace friends with camry and corollas with 80.000 having transmission issues 2017 19 cars, All brands are good when u take care of your car
Honda plagued with issues? What are you smoking? Honda is not far behind Toyota when it comes to reliability. I’ve owned a civic & have a lot family with Hondas nothing but great experiences with reliability.
Civic has the better exterior from any angle. Civic has more rear room space. Corolla seems a bit weak in each category except engine output and infotainment. And both cars interiors still don't compare to the Mazdas. I think we really need a driving comparison to decide.
Well I just purchased a 23 civic sport, fun to drive but mine has issues out the gate.A faulty passenger window motor already. Quality I’d give Toyota a tad better review but fun factor and handling the civic is better but tbh I think Toyotas are a lil better.
Corolla has no sound for blind spot detector, Civic has. Civic has traffic engine turn off which cannot be disabled for good. Corolla has high rear seat restraint which is not good for visibility, Civic restraints are better. Both don't have sunglasses compartment :)) My Toyota 2022 XSE doesn't read traffic signs. Will double check settings today.
@@chayse54 there are different generations of Safety Sense. Mine is 2.0. When I ordered my car I was sure I would get it. 1st week I was confused I didn't get it and keep on trying to find if it was off somewhere. After that checked specifications and found out it was never announced.
And another thing, that key in the ignition is so 2000s with the Toyota...RENTAL CAR!! Push to start is standard on the Civic.. Lack of technology is what kills Toyota. But of course some boring complacent person wouldn't mind that because they are scared of technology. 🙄
I'd pick the Corolla as it has a more advanced and up-to-date engine design than the Civic which is still stuck with a port fuel injected engine. The Civic would only be competitive to the the other if it was a couple of thousand cheaper.
i noticed the Civic did NOT have a manual key lock on the Driver's door. (Unless I missed it somehow) How do you get into the car if your FOB battery is dead?
Usually it works the next way: you get the key from the fob and open doors. You put the fob with emblem very close to start button and push it. It works for many makes, not sure exactly for Civic, but it has to work like that.
@@Oleksandr-H I understand that. We have two vehicles with Push Button Start. What I was saying was I did not SEE a mechanical Key Lock on the door. One that you take out of your FOB then insert it into the Door Lock to unlock the car. Did i not make that clear in my original post?
I test drove both of the civic and the Corolla. I honestly preferred how the Corolla drove, since it was a bit lighter and a bit zippier. Also the breaks are on steroids. However, the civic has more features, it’s more calm, better quality inside and feels more luxurious, while the Corolla feels super cheap on the inside. I prefer the civic. It’s also fun to drive. Tell me who wins this Battle for you. Bonus points if you tell me why lol. Have a great weekend! Jeff
I love Toyota, but the civic looks better here.😃
I was undecided. After watching this awesome review, I’m leaning towards the sporty look of Honda Civic Sedan.
Civic hands down! Its bigger in size and interior space. Civic has a "German-like" look. The Corolla is trying too hard. But at the end of the day, it looks like an appliance rental car.
Love both cars, have owned both. Perfect experiences with both, in this comparison, the Toyota would be the one I would buy.

A Toyota guy here but lets admit this civic molests this corolla in every possible direction !

Jeff, external I like Corolla, folding chair and back trunk size is a winner. Internal Civic is a winner, looks more like an upgrade than Corolla.
The front fascia of the Toyota is a great look. Seats looks like it would be comfortable for longer drives.
They are drove mine from south Florida to Georgia and the seats were comfy
Yea i think they are, i got the civic 2024 sport and they are not comfortable
Civic is the better look
You deserve more ( sub and views )
Thank you I hope lots of other people feel that way too :)
just got my corolla se and the car with those tripple j headlights and accents on with the driving light off looks fucking amazing.
I’m a Toyota fan but I gotta go with the civic

Who has better gas mileage?
Love.the toyota overall but the infotainment and dash in the honda is nice.
I am most interested in reliability over time/high mileage.
Probably corolla
Corolla 100%
Civic all day, every day! It's the design, color, and space for me.
I like the corolla because it's got awd hybrid available. Civic has nicer styling inside n out and it's roomier.
Honda has the insight
Both beautiful. I give the edge to the Civic. Interior won it for me.

The Corolla needs black shiny Wheels which comes on the new 2023 also on the Apex edition
I wish I could get a civic touring with the 2.0l engine.
civic looks cool for the compact cars, but the camry looks cool for midsize cars
It’s interesting that the Honda’s lock and unlock chime sounds exactly like Toyota’s. 4:41
Civic looks more premium. But you can't kill either one of them.
i love the civic but can't stand the dealership
Toyota Brakes Are Softer❤
Tough call!
the civic wins this easily, why would anyone get this trim of corolla
2.0 High compression ,high wear dynamic farce engine, I’ll go with the Honda
Honda, hands down more linear, cleaner design, love the paint and the horn seals the deal, honda all the way
Do you think you can get a Rivian Pick up Truck? It is a plug-in truck.
I don’t think I can but I’ll check around

Both very nice cars 4 the transportation class of 🚗💨👌👍👍💯% nice
The Civic is better-looking.
Can you review the 2023 Lexus RX 350??
