I suppose people who ride very fast on a normal bikes have spent so much time riding that they know how to ride safely and sensibly, while many people on e-bikes throw themselves right into the deep end with very little experience.
Thats exactly what it is, I'll admit I also started with a unreasonably powerful e-bike but I was always scared shitless to go faster than 25km/h till I got used to the weight and power, looking at these videos these people are clearly riding like they are using their typical road bike maneuvering like they are riding at 15km/h when they are going 30+
I think that is only one aspect of it. Ie inexperience. Another is plain arrogance. Believing you don't have to look out for others because you're the fastest big fish out there. But there's always a bigger fish. Then there's comfort. Some got the ebike because they don't want to exert themselves, physically, but that might include mentally aswell. Reading traffic, looking out for others, requires more effort, both physically and mentally. Personally I find it stimulating. But if you're new, don't want to, or going to fast(!), it can probably be very hard or stressful to do - so easier to ignore others, pretend nobody else exists - despite clear evidence to the contrary. Another aspect is because they get power for free, or rather, have no benefit from conserving power. Whereas a muscle-powered biker going slow will conserve power, that they can use later. A related aspect to that is that muscle powered bikers can relate to one another. They all know the hill up ahead will be slow and take effort. (And a strong rider can anticipate and pass the bunch there rather than the lead up to it).
Around here, folks on these motorcycles masquerading as bicycles have maimed children and killed people's pets after 45 kmh collisions. Please keep showing these videos
Like you, "I prefer a ME-Bike". And resort to the analogy that E-Bikes are to actual cycling as pickle ball is to tennis. To me, they are possibly useful (with some baskets) for food shopping, but for commuting any distance I have enjoyed a real bicycle, multitasking exercise+commuting.
I love my pedelec, as it allows me to ride to work everyday instead of maybe 3 times before my knees give out for a few days, and I still get my exercise and fresh air every day. It is easier to be a dick on an ebike though, not sure how to "fix" that issue without interfering with the usefulness of them.
@@alexanderhetzel8271 If you’re having knee problems on your real bike but not on your e-bike, perhaps the saddle is set too high on the former? Can affect knees. Maybe have a bike fit on your real bike to check your position on it. To deal with the knee pain, see a physiotherapist? May need to try a few to find one that works for you, possibly one specializing in sports injuries. I am 77, both knees are so-so, can no longer run but thanks to my PT can do several-hour rides at a decent clip without pain during or after. Basically the idea is to work on core, leg and foot muscles to improve balance and thus reduce stress on the knee (which of course is not a muscle). He began with frequent treatments to improve matters and then gave me a 20-30’ maintenance program to do every other day (more frequently if there is a flareup). Tedious, music or TV helps. Orthotics help by stabilizing feet, less instability transmitted to the knees. Cycling shoes with MTB clipless pedals reduce knee stresses by positioning your foot on the pedals (with some lateral rotation allowed), you can just relax. The cleats are recessed so you can walk, shoes that look like normal footgear are available. And Shimano makes pedals which are flat on one side and have a cleat binding on the other, so you can flip to either side depending on the situation. Yes the problem with people on E-Bikes being jerks or oblivious is a separate matter.
“With great power comes great responsibility.” Do they need a driving license or test for an electric bike in your country? I’m guessing no. The only positive thing to look forward to is when the fossil fuel runs out only normal bikes will be working. 😅 Nice video, I hope you can continue to avoid them!
Where I am Ebikes do not require a license but we are not allowed to go 40 km/hr on one, I am limited to 32 km/hr maximum. If an Ebike is modified to go 40km/hr I would need a license, plates, and insurance too.
I truly cannot stand ebikes of any kind. So sick of all the "but my bad knees" and other pitiful excuses. These people have no business riding on public trails.
Love the sound effects. You know, some people just can't handle all that power. Reminds me of the world situation, with a certain group of people controlling everything...
Just experienced the behavior of crazy e-bikers today. Went for a nice ride up the mountain pass and there is some constriction going on so only one lane is usable. Traffic lights on each end and just as a arrived there the light was red. Behind me arrive 2 idiots on e-bikes(not calling all e-bikers idiots... just these 2 specifically) and we all wait for the light to go green. Light goes green and i wait to let the cars through so i don't get in the way because one lane traffic goes for 400ish meters. The lady on the e-bike just shoots off disregarding it all. When cars pass i begin pedaling and move to the left a little. The other e-biker behind me who had a lorries width of road available to pass me... puts his bike on 100% power and shoots off like a motorcycle and goes around me on the left barely missing my front wheel and then has the audacity to yell at me and blame me for it. So i went off and let him have it... Called him names and commented on his piss poor awareness and the disregard of road etiquette... He then drove off as if nothing happened. And there are stories like these floating around everywhere. Road cyclist are usually considered the worst... But e-bikers are going to be on another level of cunts
I'm still not actually sure which country this is, (Demark or Netherlands maybe), but on the E-bike laws I'm gathing that the same rule applies to e-bikes there as in England where it's 15.5 MPH top speed assisted and probably 250W max. But then with the plate registration they can have up to 1000W and 28 MPH? Here we're legally limited to 750W and 28 MPH (technically) but with no registration at all.
Especially the "wild-eyed e-bike-retirees" can be quite dangerous+endangered because they can't control the speed at all (anymore). (technical translation)
An incredibly beautiful and funny video. it was great from start to finish. Congratulations my friend. I continue to watch and recommend. Greetings from Türkiye. With hello. #velofil
Are those 45km/h bikes legal on bike paths where you ride? Almost no one has one here because you basically have to use the road unless a path is approved for those faster bikes, and almost none are.
there is so much to say about this. first, they seem to think that bikes are mainly toys, and riding a bike is just like fooling around on a playground: no rules, just ride around, switch lanes, direction, turn around, no problem :) obviously, this won't work when you're in a city, together with tons of other bikes, pedestrians and cars. second, all these mouth breathers now switching to bikes will probably lead to more and more strict rules, because it just doesnt work without, and in the end we'll have heavily regulated spaces for bikes and it will be just the same as with cars today, traffic jams, parking problems and dangerous traffic because of ignorant idiots. and third, it is just baffling how these people have no concept of the risks that come with riding at such speeds, without any skill and consideration. such idiots ... and, additionally, they provide perfect talking points for anti-cycling lobbyists, well done.
I wanted to buy my mother an ebike so she has an easier time and then i saw theese monstrosities i build her a little nice nimble normal bike and im glad i did everyone drives a tank without having a licence for it^^
Don't you have a speed limit for E-bike boost like in the EU? We do have some lunatics with illegal setups but in your videos it seems that everybody too fast
Dies retet manchmal leben. Gruss

The whole point of riding a bike is knowing that you put in the effort

The fast ones with up to 4000W power need a scooter license, unfortunately, the police hardly ever check this.

BTW this looks like maybe Berlin?
I´m surprised how many ignorant people are in Switzerland. I would have expected more consideration there. Where is Die Ordung on bikepaths? :)

Am meisten beeindruckt mich Deine Gelassenheit bei diesen haarsträubenden Szenen. Ich würde die alle vom Rad holen ...
Finally new video!
Finally new video, greetings from Greece.
E bikers like that MUST NOT be banned or restricted...our hospitals are desperately short of organ donors.
5:01 the sound of smooth cassettes
2:06 You "scared" her on purpose, I feel. I approve, if so.
just a tiny little bit 😋
stop selling high speed bikes, or let them ride in the car-lane

So many Darwin awards.

i build her a little nice nimble normal bike and im glad i did
everyone drives a tank without having a licence for it^^
People riding while having egos too large to fit the bikes :D
Hope you got their number plates =P
At least European only suffer from e bike. In Indonesia, motorcyclist are the worst and do everything in the video at higher speed
Imagine an e-cycle catching on fire LMAO. That's why Adam Something will never use an e-cycle. They're pedal-cycles with stupid Tesla batteries.
I ve got a screaming AAAHHHRRR for those that cant see me or cant hear my bell & it works fine
Of course people make mistakes and are tired etc. But this city is clearly suicidal..

It's 25km/h (15.5mph) and 45 km/h (28mph) for the faster versions. Quite a lot of them Illegally modified🤥 ruclips.net/video/565c8d4aE1c/видео.html
So glad that I don’t ride in cities.
I can't wait to cycle or should I say fly on an e bike 😅😊😅😊
Why don't you warn pedestrians when you pass? You are not a safe rider.
BASEL!!!❤😎
100% ack.
