Just picked up a bottle at costco of all places. Best Bourbon I have had in 2021. Other Bottles Iv'e tried this year that were new to me, that I would place in the same category: Sam Houston 15 year- -really good Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered - Slightly disappointing considering the hype Bardstown Fusion Series 5- Also a great whiskey Thanks for the review. I was wondering if others had the same opinion of it as I did. Whish I would have bought a spare!
i picked this up, and there are definitely some grain forward notes. not to the degree of, say, a youthful texas bourbon. but there was clearly some cornbread in there. enjoyed it overall.
Great review Fred, I haven't tried Penelope yet. I read that they source from one place, then have it barreled, bottled and labeled somewhere else. Makes it hard for me to justify the price.
I’ve been drinking whiskey for a few years I’m still not very good at pulling out the news and tasting notes but I’m drinking this as I’m watching your video and I would have to agree with you not that it matters but
Four grain might not be my thing because I did not enjoy this bottle however I’m going to give it some time for the air to get to it and maybe it’ll warm up to me
I have this batch 6 and I picked up a PA private select barrel strength Penelope. I think they are both fantastic!! I’m very happy with both pickups

dammit, get rid of the clown. LOL
A friend brought this over to try this weekend. Great stuff!
I'm currently enjoying a dram of their very first Small Batch, "SB-01". Tasty 😋
Sb-01 is definitely tasty
Great stuff! I am a rep here in Louisiana and LOVE this bourbon!!
the penelope barrel proof is delicious, the toasted series is better! cheers 🥃
It's MGP juice. I just saw this show up in Canada (Batch 7). Kind of pricey. But Cask Strength is worth a shot. Wish me luck.

Is there anyway I can get one of your glasses?

Give me turkey or give me death Fred! Lol but good review none the less, thank you for keeping it honest and fair.
that's funny. and appreiate it.
I love this stuff!
How does it differentiate from other MGP products though? If it’s all coming from MGP shouldn’t every bottler of MGP’s product taste similar?
If someone has never tasted other grains, what would your recommendation be?
Spirits of French Lick has some great 4 grains
@@FredMinnick thank you for the quick response
