if 5BBs: 1: they are lemming, run. 2: you need a mountain between you and two of them (no need really hug that mountain) if 5 ships, BBs and CAs: try use 27 bow tank the CA and 380 ap shell, dodge the more important 406+. or if they are all HE monsters, run 😂
I'd like that you get the extra commander build. then they give you 2 mins after Q to select your commanders skill tree. You could have one commander as a surface build and one as a AA build.
Just tried this on PTS in a Goliath. I don't have a Goliath on the main server so this was my 1st game ever in the ship. Top of the team on a loss with 114K dmg and 2.7M potential. It was great fun.
I have a similar build on one of my French DD commanders in the regular game He has AFT instead of CE as the French DDs are generally out spotted by other DDs and I may be shooting a lot. My other Fr commander is more a standard build. It just depends on if I can aim and hit well enough to take advantage of the range.
With the NC I rebuild her for gun range not dead eye, but I buffed my gun range. So now I can easy shoot outside my detection range. Not sure I want deadeye because NC is allready prety acc for her class same as vladivostok. So I realy like to buff my stealth instead of deadeye.
Torps should explode at the end of their runs, just as they do in real life. And. WG should implement splash damage from not only end-of-run torps but, near-miss shell damage...

Your "base" detection range is your detection range without firing or being concealed by smoke, basically without in battle modifiers. But It includes out of the battle modifiers, like modules, skills and camos. Always has been this way.

The most importan question is: Why is the damn concealment expert skill still in the game? It is useless, because everbody uses it. Give it everbody for free or use the standard ship concealment and give us something new and usefull to be more flexable! They did it once, so do it again! Whats the problem? smolensk can't use it. wg tried desperately to overreach for the smol by not having it get the detection nerf from the new commander skill, but now it can't use the anti-conceal build
it is not new, f.i. I took no concealment on my Yama to have 10.6km sec. so whenever I push and DDs or cruisers pop up I have an adequate close-range defence as compensation for the slow turrets. On my Tirp I combined sec. and stealth to be able to trap ships within my sec. range sacrificing tankability (no DE or SI). So... you have those choices already, they just got extremer. But why don't you speak about the 1.2 Mio grind to get to 21? To get to your suggested builts you now have to grind 2.9 Mio captain XP. How feasible is this for the average player???
You have to be really ballsy or stupid to give up the only thing that can save you from 18inch BBs. I played a ton of Hindenburg lately and it doesnt really matter how well you position, you will sooner or later eat 15-20K AP salvos from the Vermont/Ohio/Kremlin/Thunderer. After the last CW season I even left the range mod on it because 70% of the games just end up as a 20Km BB shootout. Sadly high tier maps are really open water and even if you get one with cover, the shell arcs will not allow you to fire over it. most of the time you play on open water with throttle juke. The moment you are spotted, every 18inch BB will fire at you bc the hindy is just a dmg pinata for them.

@@aetius9 yep if map awareness, positioning or wasd "hack" are skills that players have instead of tunnel vision.. why Slava is considered powerful (if u angle, 9x406 arent so strong)? Because with fast shell velocity and range it can snipe the blockes who haven't map awareness or bad positioned. Vermont, thunderer, repu have slower shell but they have overmatch (with huge gun range) so u will get pen from all angles. Kremlin has already nice tight vertical dispersion with average horizontal one.. now will be 10% more accurate. Yamato with dead eye, legendary mode will be pin point.. it's true is double edge because "easier" to evade... But u need map awareness and rng your opponent hasn't good aim.. if he has it, as soon he hits you, u will be chunk hard
But, CVs will always spot u and slava, thurderer, even yami will smack the shit out of u. And ofc promotes camping. Its a shitty thing this wg company.

The Henri IV turns in even more of a Monster since you can get the reload speed pretty high. Nevsky might also pretty fun with this

slap on propulsion module and steering gear 2 and you'll have a ship that can outright duke out enemy fire

Interesting concept. Could even work in randoms quite well... With all the plane spotting, stealth has become irrelevant way too often for cruisers.

With hindy legendary module and this build you make it the tankiest cruiser by far, with the extra effect of great dmg output :)

tighter dispersion is a two-edged sword. At long range, the area impacted is smaller, and thus easier to avoid.
