What exactly is going on at each station? Since we haven't actually gone to med school are they just giving you a basic scenario like a patients family member died or something? Because obviously we aren't able to diagnose or talk about symptoms and stuff if that makes sense...
Yes! We will start at the beginning of a patient's case and work our way through it; discussing the physiology, differential diagnosis, etc. That way it is a teaching opportunity and clinically-based experience!
