Had a day to think about this commit so here goes, I am a bit putt off with telling me something is not expense when they got it for free. I mean literally $ 180 bucks is about a half a payment for most of us. Not to mention what it will buy in gas at the current 5/gal. It's all channels though not just here and I totally get it!! You get veiws they get sales and we buy ourselves deeper in debt... Love the channel and just subscribed. Just be aware some of us may still think a hundred dollars can go a hundred way's, paying off our trucks just being one of them. ✌️

Can’t wait to see what you have going on in the bed. I’ve been wanting a decked drawer, but wonder if I should just build my own drawer. I have a mountain hatch mostly because at the time there weren’t any options, but other than the price I think it’s great. Just having that flat surface makes it 100% worth it.

I just got a Tacoma and am considering one of these. I see mobtown has a steel one. That seems like the best option. 1/8” thick and magnetic and it would take a lot to dent it. For now I think I’m just gonna do a plywood panel. Easy, cheap, strong enough and customizable. I agree the plastic one is stupid. Food grade, yah ok who is really prepping their food directly on the tailgate? Life is a mess outback on a tailgate I wouldn’t waste my time trying to get it clean enough to prepare food on it. Cutting boards are cheap and easily moved while cooking and easily cleaned. One for veggies one for meats. These are all too expensive in my opinion but material is expensive these days.

I made my first one out of plywood but a few weekends ago my buddy and I made 2 out of sheet metal, real easy to do and for cup holders I put some velcro on it and fitted a removable arm rest with cup holders that was out of a old truck lol

So far I have a chip in the powder coat because I dropped my fridge on it. But other than that there's no dents in it and I stand on it all the time to open/close my tent.

Can it be stood on without being bent or dented? What about with standing heavy fire wood being dropped on it. That’s the part that’ll suck.

Yep I stand on it all the time. Even put my knees on it when I'm trying to reach far into the bed. No dents. Never tried dropping fire wood.

I bought the trailgate from ALOffroad and it still hasn’t gotten to me or have I gotten a ship date after ordering it like 2 months ago. Can’t say I’m impressed with that. Hoping it’s worth the potential 3 month wait. Nuts.

You couldve installed a popnlock tailgate lock while you were in there if you dont have one! Haha. This looks pretty slick and better deal than the MH. Price always made me uncomfy on that one.
