    Don't know why everyone is complaining about the diy part. Diy stands for do it yourself. Which is exactly what they did. Diy doesn't mean easy project.

      iron and wood but it does mean a project that won't take "professional" skill to complete. I work with metal these are high level techniques and equipment.

    I love the work you did on this custom lighter. The only thing I think should of been changed is the cap to cover the wick. I think it should of had a lanyard mounted to it, because for someone that actually uses a lighter frequently, you do not want to have to worry about losing a cap that has to be unscrewed to use the lighter.

    I've seen this before and I keep coming back to it. It's like one of those things in life that you'd love to own, but know you never will. I guess poor people don't have things like that. It's a pleasure to watch each time for many reasons, but I don't need to list them because you already know. Simply said. ..it's truly Art. I thought this time I'd leave a message to tell you how beautiful this piece is. I hope you have an exhibit for your work one day, because it honestly deserves it. I'll keep dreaming, and thanks again.

      Guys, you're way off. He can easily sell it anywhere for like....$5000 - $6000 as a : "one piece only" work of art.
      Hell, I've seen a listings for ordinary 2 dollar auto continuity testers, sold for $200 on ebay, and there were actually people who bought them.
      FOR TWO HUNDRED FREAGIN' DOLLARS.
      Do you think he won't find a sucker to pay 10.000 for this?.....
      I'd put it out there just out of curiosity .....ha ha ha

    It's DIY when you own a whole factory of tools.

    • @Pijawek
      @Pijawek 3 года назад

      DIY doesn't mean that you have to build something using only a box cutter and a hot glue gun. And he/she didn't use anything crazy, apart from the lathe all those tools can be found in most serious amateur workshops.

    • @Frostified
      @Frostified 3 года назад

      It's DIH do it himself lol. I know what you mean. All "how to" videos are very popular but the average joe is never going to be able to DIY it just because of a video. I have spent the last 40 years as a maker and know it takes a lifetime of skills and tools and experience to do this stuff even after watching the video.
