I own a 2023 hd9 dps cab. Really happy with the machine so far. Very quiet . Really enjoyed the heat all winter. Only issue I had so far was stick went through the passenger side floor. I installed a full aluminum skid plate and replacing the floor this week.
I got the defender XMR 2020 I had at the glass windshield, back windshield, doors and roof. I know what you’re saying about the heat though in winter time I got a seat cushion with a heater built in it Hi and low settings. It’s hard to believe how much just sitting on the mat will keep you warm. I love it. The IPT Cryptid tires really give it a lot of pull. I didn’t get it for a smooth ride just work.
Doing research on Can-Am for reliability and customer impression for my consideration by a Can-Am defender pro long bed. Appreciate you pulling this video together and your honest insights. 🍻 Would argue that suspension is one of the biggest things you can change about a unit to change its factory characteristic and expanded capability.
You can’t fix suspension travel. This buggy had 10”. There’s nothing I could do to get it to ride or handle anything like a 20-24” sport buggy. There is just no replacement travel.
@@765Guys i dont disagree, but there is a lot you CAN do for its limited suspension wihtout thinking it like a 20-24buggy. Again, no disrepect and nothing but love but the factory suspension on ALL of these units are absolutley terrilble.
That thing is sweet! I think I'm headed your way to get on soon. I need another Utility SXS for Kentucky and I'm pretty sick of the Ranger. Eveyone with a Defender seems to like it. Did you drive a 7? I'm considering the little guy for around the property (using a golf cart now LOL)
I have an HD7 DPS and it is fine for work an some trail riding. I don't believe in spending more money on the same size machine with only about ten more horsepower.
Assassinators are stupidly heavy you will break axles often with them. Try some BKTs, motohavoks, or outlaws if you’re on a budget, since Polaris came out with the highlifter edition you can find 29.5 and 30 inch outlaws everywhere for cheap.
Really enjoyed this review! I just ordered the vertex shocks for my 21’ Defender Limited. You said h9 might be different from hd10 shocks, do you think the vertex will fit my machine?
Is yours a limited or did you just add doors? Main reason for wanting a heater is defrost. I’ve had soft upper doors on my x3 and always had issues with windshield fogging
No, they are both very quiet. The hd10 limited probably is a touch quieter due to the full cab, however I was astounded with how quiet the hd9 was when I first got it opposed to some other rigs I had owned.
Looking at the Defender right now. Really appreciate your review. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome! Thanks for the warning on the skid plate, I assume the xt and up all have the same one , I’ll have to look into a better one!

Is yours the lime green and grey xmr? That’s my favorite color scheme ever!
I got the camouflage color and black wheels
@@jeffwhite2107 gotcha! I always forget camo is an option every year.
They are great machines Genin. Well built. That something like I need, utility. Maybe in the future.
Seems to be good so far, definitely so useful for work purposes! Thanks for watching Kenny, have a great weekend.

Sweet ride!👍👍
Pretty awesome machine, great review.
Thanks Bob!

I haven’t drove a 7, I’m sure it’ll be better than a golf cart!

Good review buddy!
Thanks man, hope to meet you some day
Cool 🌟
Would you recommend super atv 29.5 assassinators tires on this machine for a little off road?

Does your hd9 have tail lights, or just break lights? Nice machine.
Thanks! It has tailights that get brighter when you push the brakes.
Ok, when my headlights are off, my taillights are still on. Same with yours?

Thanks! The hd9 vertex fits 62” models only, and I believe all limiteds were 64” or 65”.
Before buying heater, try it without. I have factory heat and rarely have to use it. Heat from engine does a fine job.

Any difference in noise from the hd9 to your hd10?

Sweet
I just put a deposit on an hd9 cab.
Heat is all i need up north here.
Cant wait to run it
@@PhilStonge awesome, you’ll enjoy it!
Budget build? Compared to your X3 maybe. I don't consider 1300 dollars for shocks as a budget build.
Cheaper than the alternative 2500$ zbroz shocks. Also just had super atv a arms, a lot cheaper than s3 or other manufacturers.
