    Best video on a SXS I’ve seen in a while!
    The only thing missing is the Increased Interval of Inspection depending on all the Mods/Upgrades that 90% or more of the owners add before the first 50 miles and it’s the types that affect the most. These owners are going with lifts for clearance but mainly so they can add 32-35” tires that immediately impact HP and wear on the rotating & pivoting points and especially brakes! Then adding full sound systems and all the cool cargo racks and LED’s etc… With all the extra weight that would likely change vital fluid intervals plus add extra draw to the stock battery so they add a second battery (weight) and this isn’t even considering the size of the driver or all the stuff they throw in the back of the bed.
    Then we see them on all the platforms bashing their brand because of this or that and in the end it’s all because of them. Haha
    I’ve been wanting to put something like this together for a while but I’m glad you knocked it out so well. I do think that another video might be beneficial for people to know how all these mods & upgrades affect the baseline maintenance that you created here.
    Again, great video!

      That’s a good idea, I will start thinking of how to put something together, a video that like really applies to so many more people.
      You’re right about people bashing the brands, at the end of the day if you own any machine you should take some time to learn about proper use and maintenance. Just out here trying to spread the word so everyone can have a better experience. 👍🏼👍🏼

    Yessir thank you so much for this! I bought a 2024 Can Am Defender XMR and when they sold it to me I went ahead and paid another $1800 for a “24 Month Extended Service” and “36 month priority maintenance” and I called the dealer last week and they are telling me that the service isn’t free. I may seem stupid but I know when I bought the rig, they upsold this maintenance package telling me that the first 8 services were included for free, I called them and they quoted me over $700 for the service. Long story short I asked them to send me a breakdown of what the $1700 package (by line item) I bought and paid extra for even includes, everyone there seems to play dumb w me like they don’t know what I’m requesting to see. So I’m here trying to find out what all I would need to change if I have to end up servicing it myself. This is the first service at 300 miles (not heavy use)
    Has anyone here ever heard of this? What exactly did they sell me?

    • @LazyDWorx
      @LazyDWorx  3 месяца назад

      Glad this is helpful, thank you for commenting. 👍🏼👍🏼
      I am not too familiar with options for maintenance/service plans, it could be something offered through the dealer or directly through Can-Am. You should definitely dig into what it is. Whomever sold you the product should be familiar with what they are selling, that is frustrating when you depend on the dealer selling you a product to stand behind what they sell.
      As far as your first service Cam-Am does not appear to mention a “Break-in” service, however, they are pretty standard industry wide. To be safe around 200-300 miles it is a good idea to change all your oils and inspect everything well, then after that the service interval is 100 - 200 operating hours depending on use.
      At the end of the day, it’s your machine, I believe it is in every owners best interest to learn about maintaining your machine, dealer can do a good job but most accounts I hear about where people have dealt with dealer the overall experience is poor.
      What kind of activities are you using your machine for?
