Had my buddy use his Matco scanner to reset VANOS and register the battery to the car.
Reason for the new key was because the original wasn't being accepted and read. Could the CAS be a contributing factor to this as well?
Good job Mohammed
what cause the cas to go bad i was told direct sunlight on the dashboard, is this true
thanks for sharing! What was the problem in the first place? Do you need to program the CAS ? or just coding? My mini just died . was fine driving this morning but now when I insert the key not even the dash turns on. All modules are online .I can scan all the modules still but there are no codes. Any ideas? What module is responsible for turning on the dash and allowing the starter to operate? Thanks
Check if the key is good also see if the battery is ok
Sounds like the terminal 50 is lacking power from the cas.
@@mike-yp1uk it was a bad key. The chip inside it did not make good contact after the key was dropped
Hello Sir, I just purchased a 2008 Mini Cooper-R56 this past Saturday 3/4/23 my first one. I bought it off of someone that acquired it from the Philadelphia Parking Authority auction. Heb put a new battery in it and made a key and it was programmed by the Mini dealership. It cranks but not starting. I'm getting an orange/yellow solid key indicator. Which I heard is an anti-theft deterrent. Could my CAS, EWS, DME, or key not be in sync? I see that you are up in the NY area. I was considering even having my car towed from Philly to there just to have it looked at by you. Any information or insight would be helpful, thank you.
i f you get a key from the dealer it supposed to work ,also try to to ews resets
No dash on noothing could the cas module be the problem
Hello sir, spoke to you about a countryman S mini coop 2013. I spoke with you and sent a text with the codes from foxwell
You called backed and gave me 2 options to check. I was not in a location to write them down. Can you please give them to me again?
I want to know the engine turns over but does not crank. Does that take the CAS off the possibility???
Thank you Paul Foust South Carolina
