That's an AWESOME old Triumph, it's fantastic looking. the pipes are perfect and it sounds great. and I like the tank and the color scheme. about the only thing that I would possibly think of changing? would be a more aggressive knobby tires. maybe similar to an enduro/trials type. mainly a tire that would allow a person to the best of both worlds.
I had a 1973 750cc T140V right hand shifter, which is so much better than the bodged up left hand shifter. Dynamically balanced throughout, roller bottom end. One of the best bikes for UK roads & cruised well between 70/90 mph on motorways. Excellent all rounder. Thankyou for the vid.
Had a '78 I bought new. Just kept taking things off and ended up with more of a street-tracker. Easy to ride. Easy to wrench. Last paint was also a white tank with gold where your blue is. Wish I had kept it. Hats off to you. Beautiful bike. Stay safe
Great bike. It's interesting that he's the second vintage Triumph guy in this series who started on old Honda's. When I was looking for my first bike a couple years ago, I really wanted to find a vintage Triumph (to ride and to learn to work on) but a couple people told me I should start with an old Honda and learn the basics then get the Triumph when I knew a little more about motorcycles and maintenance. That was great advice for a newbie like me with zero mechanical know-how. The 70's Honda CB has been a great first bike to learn to ride and wrench on, plus they're super reliable, mine hasn't broken down on me once. (Knock on wood.) Now when I finally find that 1960's or 70's Triumph Bonneville I'll hopefully have the knowledge (and the tools) to keep it on the road.
Nice Sled Calum, that’s a super sweet build. Trick yet understated , good job .I have an old ‘64 Sled with buckets of patina and am about to start rebuilding my original Trackmaster framed Triumph Flat tracker. Thanks for posting
One great thing when building these engines is to swap out the exhaust cam with one from the earlier 650's like "70" Bonnie. These are a much better cam. We did a 79 Bonnie for road racing also added 10.5 to 1 Comp. Average street guy better not to have hi comp.Bike did 12.84 et @ 106mph. Triumph fans check out Steve McQueen 40 Summers ago.
Nice looking bike, I have gone down the same road but just wondered what front end you used it looks a lot better than the original Triumph disc and caliper. Regards Stuart
Bought my neighbors one owner 72 t120 14 years ago? Did a top end /painted it./stopped? I should give it back. The guys Dad bought it for his son new back then.
Hello, I need to buy the clutch cover #19-7801 for my BSA Rocket 3, do you have this part? what's the price? .....or do you know who can sell it? Thanks a lot

Good looking bike. Very clean and not fussy.
This is what a motorcycle should look like. Build one like this and I'll buy it. (And I'm 75 years old.)

However do you live with all that BLUE sky ?

It's a very nicely built motorcycle!
Norman Hyde brake parts, EBC make replacements as well, more money to spend.
