I can’t thank you enough for this video!! They quit making the brakes for my V3 STI RA. So instead of trying to get replacements I wanted to just get newer STI 6 pistons. Turns out these are about $3900 cheaper 😂😂 Life saver!
Did this upgrade with my 03 350z (18z), fit great with the obvious modifications and adapter but If I had to do it again I would stick with the oem brembo.
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE I honestly did not see a major difference from my oem brembos. I ended up going back to oem brembos and z1 2 piece rotors which helped me shave weight upfront which was a plus along side better fluid and pads which made a world of a difference compared to the 18z kit. The 370z rotors are massive compared to brembo rotors and very heavy aswell. Unless you get 2 piece rotors to offset the weight your adding I didn't see it being worth it for my z that I want to eventually track and take it on the twisties. Eric, what is the selection of full track pads for the 17z or 18z calipers? I'm running the oem brembos on my 06 350z with Cobalt XR-2 race pads. They are incredible but I want to know what the options are on race pads for 17/18z calipers since they came on SUVs. I own a 13 Cayenne Diesel and it comes with 18z calipers. I can't find race pads for this caliper.
so which caliper would you best recommend for stopping power? I though to upgrade to the z1 akebono package but $2k is too expensive when I can buy used G35 brembos that might have the same stopping power, I do want to save weight too, I might not get the best of both worlds, are the G35 brembos heavy? I’m just tired of having these small stock calipers I always have to push the pedal to the floor to stop cause how long it takes to completely stop and I dislike it never feel comfortable doing pulls in these.
Ecp does make a adapter bracket that let's you mount this to a 370z. If my understanding is correct the q60 also uses akebonos and akebonos fit the 370z so in theory they should fit with the ecp 370z adapter
i know this is old, but i’m looking to do this on my G35 coupe. what did you do for the rears? just regular stock Caliper? or can you also take these for the rear? of course smaller. any advice helps.
@ERICSDIYGARAGE hey my friend can you put me in the correct direction, i try to modify a 2010 nismo edition nissan frontier al ready make big changes on the engine i have mor power right know and now i need better brakes can you tell me what kind of calipers can i used thanks
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE also would you use all of the breaks form a Porsche Cayenne like front and back and just put those on the 350z or do you need different ones for back
Couldn't you also use an evo gsr 13.8" rotor without needing to grind down the caliper? That's what people have done when doing the akebono BBK on older nissans and it seems that would work with this also
Hi Eric- great content! I am looking for a bbk upgrade on infiniti q50 17 inch oem wheels. Is the Brembo 17z a possibility ? How? My apologies.. I had posted this on the wrong video earlier. Thanks!

bro thank god i seen this video I was looking to get brembos but specifically 6 pistons on the front for my 350z cause they look so much better then 4
What’s the name of the company that makes the brackets or a link
So question ❓⁉️ what are the options for big brakes on the rear of the G ?
Do i need to change my brake lines to fitted to Z370
Wish they would fit my Skyline r33 :( … great video!
Direct fit on my mk5 gti no adapter needed
Just need to use Mercedes ml350 rotors
That's awesome, I have seen some mk5 with the 18z looks massive!
Did my is300 with brembos off a Genesis coupe shit is fire 🔥 but finding wheels was a mother
I'm assuming you needed a bracket or was it a direct bolt on

What cars came with 18 and 17 z type calipers…?
What would i need to do to fit these on a G20.
I still haven't reached that point yet I need to test fit them on to see if they will even work but it's possible they might fit stay tuned

Do the 17z or 18z calipers fit a 350z 2005? With R1 concepts Rotors. I believe the rotors are the same size as stock
They need to be akebono size rotors 14in
Will these fit the 370z??
What do I need for a 2012 maxima?

My favorite are the g35/350z brembos the akebono calipers and rotors are way too heavy. Brembo make superior calipers in my opinion.
Question Starting what year do them in ? my 240SX calipers are giving out I need to upgrade they started to leak
Is there any chance the 2013-18 Cadillac XTS front BREMBO 4 piston calipers would fit a 350z nissan? I Just like the way they look.

Yes

How are the brake proportions during high speed braking?
No not yet still need to test them
Can this be used on a 2000 Infiniti g20

I have 2021 genesis g70 brembo calipers does anyone know which other make models would they fit?
i have a fx35 2012 with 18 inch wheels, the fx50s of the same year had the akebono calipers so do you tink it will fit?
No, they won't fit without an adapter, and the company doesn't sell the adapter for vehicles that come akebonos from factory

I bought these calibers for my 97 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR Vspec.I haven't installed them hey, but it seems pretty straight forward.

I plan to use it also on r33 GT-R 1997, it's much cheaper than buying brake pads from Japan.
