They found a luxury apartment in a middle class neighborhood for cheap rent ($100 a month!!) And yet Mickey is out here trowing a tantrum acting worse than a toddler. Like wtf!?? He seriously needs to get it together cause he's super immature and stupid.
@@prnst4r no one was rushing them into doing it, so they could have talked about it and discuss whether they should stay in the southside or go someehere else, now that lip wants to sell the house they don't have much time to decide, so they have to take this decisions real quick
Best line from the Gallavich so far in this season. Ian being protective over Mickey makes my heart melt so bad (even though, from the look of it, Mickey won the fight, and may not need much of the protection hahaha). I wish Mickey could hear what Ian said. He deserves to know how much Ian cares about him in front of his own family. They have come so far, and fought so hard for each other. They deserve all the happiness in the world and brighter future for their lives together.

The way Ian talks in this scene, he is the older brother. He made it clear by signing the lease that he wants him and Mickey to get away from the rest of the family. I don't like that Shameless is ending, but I like that Gallavich are going to be growing their business and growing Ian growing tomatoes...happy ever after.
In my opinion Ian has always been the more mature Lip was smarter. Ian posses what Fiano to make a better life for himself. Lip is lost cause

I’m getting so annoyed with Lip this season... he doesn’t care for the people who live in that house, he only wants to sell the house because he doesn’t want his girlfriend to get angry with him. And to be honest I LOVED that Mickey said those things to him. And Ian defending his husband is just 👏🏼👏🏼

Lips used to be a super smart robotics major on his way to living a great life and helping out his family like never before but alas that was in season four. Guess one cougar does that to you.

Lip truly fails at everything. Fiona hasn't even been gone that long and this big idea is to sell the house and make everyone fend for themselves bc he can't get a normal job. Fiona sacrificed everything to keep that family together in that house and he sells it the second there's trouble. He couldn't even get a good deal, he got the worst deal and sells it for less than she paid. For as smart as he is, he truly fails in the worst ways.
The best part is on his show that’s not an idle threat.
It doesn't matter what they are talking about, I cry when I see them🥺

Okay but as much as I love Mickey since he’s my favorite character, he is the one who started that fight.
He didn't. He just argued with Lip. Yes, he may have provoked him but Lip was the one who threw the first punch.
Ian was wrong for signing the lease behind Mickey's back and pissing him off. Mickey was wrong for taking his anger out on Lip and provoking him into a fight. Lip was wrong for letting his frustration from everything in his life get pent up and ready to explode when Mickey goaded him into a fight. Literally everyone was wrong in this situation. Lip knew it and immediately took responsibility for his part in the fuck up. It would be good for Ian and Mickey to own up to their parts as well but who knows if they will. All that being said, Ian's line here is one of the most relatable things he's ever said. Might be my favorite scene this season.
Lip was being emotional
He provoked Lip for sure but Lip is the one who threw the first punch taking it to the next level, he could have just shoved Mickey back instead of punching him, since Mickey hadn't hurt him in any way at that point.
(not saying he's 100% to blame and Mickey is an angel because again, Mickey totally provoked him, but I think this is why Lip is apologising and this is why Ian tells him that: since Mickey is Ian's family Lip shouldn't hit him no matter what out of respect and love for Ian (as long as Mickey doesn't throw the first punch of course, then it would be self defense, a simple shove doesn't count as self defense for me since he could have responded the same way instead of actually hittint to hurt him)

I love Ian and Mickey as much as anyone. But Lip did not start that fight. Mickey was throwing a temper tantrum about finding a nice place to live for basically nothing. Lip may be the one pushing to sell the house but no one but Debbie actually cares about moving. Mickey just doesn’t want to leave the south side and Ian signed the lease, not Lip’s fault. He was just taking it out on Lip.

Just like Ian would never hurt Tami no matter what she did.
(also I'm not saying Lip is 100% to blame at all, just that it makes sense for Ian to still be protective over his husband and expect his brother not to hurt him no matter what and I think Lip apologised at the start exactly for that reason, cause he also expects better from himself. I also think off screen Ian probably scolded Mickey too for provoking Lip)

Mickey brought Lip's retaliation onto himself by initiating the confrontation in the first place. I really do hope Ian scolded Mickey as well for fighting with his brother, because that's some bullshit if he didn't. If you're going to use the "he shouldn't've hit Mickey no matter what out of respect for Ian," argument, then the same thing should apply to Mickey. He shouldn't start a petty confrontation and lay his hands on Lip out of respect for him being Ian's brother. So what makes you think Mickey deserves that kind of respect from Lip if he isn't willing to give it out himself? Seems as if you can be reduced to a simple Mickey stan if that's the case.
