Yes! I would have bet a beautiful dollar on him actually being from the Yards or McKinley or Bridgeport when I first saw him on the show. Who'd have guessed he's from Vancouver, B.C., Canada? Awesome acting. He has the South Side accent, the swagger and the look he give someone that would carve a coconut. Cheers!

this scene really melt my heart, ian comforting mickey made me cry. “you are so much better than that” he made sure mickey knew that. i love how caring they are towards each other🥺

I love when Ian quietly asks "would you take care of me if I were paralyzed?" Because he doesn't assume that Mickey owes him anything just because they are married. This isn't a lack of trust or love but an example of not taking your SO for granted. Ian doesn't take their relationship for granted, they are individuals, so he asks an honest question.
And I love the way Mickey answers, not with an "of course" or a shrug of "yes" like that's what he's supposed to do. He thinks about the question and he answers honestly, "yeah" then he thinks about the question again and says "yes". It's an honest question and a true answer. That's how you love.
I love when Ian asks that question because I just love the whole sequence of that and them helping Terry.....but while watching part of me was like "Dude, he got himself thrown in prison for you".......Mickey wanted to take care of Ian during the beginning of Bipolar and Ian didn't want that....what the fuck kind of question is that! Of course he would......There's alot about this season so far that's been a little off but the biggest thing to me so far is the natural ability without words for you to just know that Mickey would do anything for Ian and this scene was the first time after how long it took to get to 6 episodes that I felt that again.....
They have been trying to play off of them being newlyweds fighting and arguing through the whole first half of the show that the true nature of their relationship got thrown to the side. I need more of this kind of stuff from them before the show ends....they don't even have to say anything and you can feel it all.....
It’s also important in that Ian doesn’t like being vulnerable like that generally. When he was younger he came at Mickey for going into caretaker mode after his bipolar diagnosis. I think Ian kinda already knew the answer because that’s how Mickey loves (it means we take care of each other) so it shows Ian has finally come to accept and appreciate that aspect of their relationship.
@@poundcake4158 Ian knows the answer is yes, he asks to make Mickey realise what huge capacity for care and love he has in his heart, and that underneath the hurt, Mickey cares for his dad. Ian knows that Mickey does not open up about feeling verbally very much, but his feelings are very, very strong. The whole episode is a bit like Ian verballizing Mickey’s fears and concerns. Like they have learned to communicate without words. Love them both.❤️ “They are both special, Mickey is just a little bit more special.”
Terry just hates Mickey because he is 1000x more of a man than Terry will ever be.

I love how Ian knows how stressed Mickey is about Terry and tries to divert his attention to him. He understands Mickey more than anyone. Love this type of Gallavich content.
Cameron and Noel have the best chemistry
My God Mickey has come a long way. He has Ian there to support him and tell him he's *good* , the Gallaghers all calling him Mick because he's their family, Lip asking him for advice.
Mickey has such a full life with so many people who care about him and see him as thier family and value his contributions and knowledge and I'm going insane 😭
Yup, I'm so happy for him! There was no love or respect in the Milkovich house (maybe only between Mickey and Mandy) and now he is practically one of the Gallaghers 😭❤️
Mickey has done a major 180 because in earlier seasons, He was a person you should fear, but in later seasons, we found out it was because he was under the control of Terry. Once he got out of that house, He changed completely.
@@madame__bizarre yeah that house did not have a Fiona, or any mothering figures. That’s how most families find or create kindness and warmth. A mother usually instills that in everyone’s hearts and that’s why Fiona did a great job not turning the Ghallager house into the scary Milkavich house.
Noel has a lot of lines this episode and I prefer it that way

I've only discovered "Shameless" during the pandemic. During the lock down I have caught up on every season. Who the hell is Noel Fisher, and why haven't I noticed this actor before? The guy steals every scene. I'm totally a fan now.
I only started this show just shy of 2 months ago and now he’s easily one of my favorite actors he’s so insanely talented
First time I prefer the remake to the original one not only because of IM development sometimes more money crashed the whole thing not this time

Mickey and Ian are my favorite couple out of any couple in any tv show! And honestly I’m so happy to see terry suffering he deserves it after all the trauma he caused to Mickey and Mandy and everyone else! He’s a horrible person and he got what was coming!
I've been concerned about the writing recently, but this is the best written karma anyone could think of for Terry. He spent decades controlling and abusing the people around him, especially his own children, and now he doesn't have control over anything, not even his own body. He spent so much time making everyone miserable, but here he is left out on the freaking curb like trash and unable to do anything about it.
what makes me happy and heart warmed about this scene is when ian asks mickey that question but with that vulnerable look in his eyes nd you can feel the voice shaking, and then when mickey makes the joke, he replies again to the question but this time just by staring at ian's eyes and ian for sure got the message... it was short but very intimate and tender
That look of Mickey give to Ian just makes me realize how much lonely and single I am. I want my Mickey :’(

It was a legitimate question. Spouses/significant others leave their significant others often if they get sick/injured long term (or they stay and cheat on that person behind their back). It’s really sad. I love this scene between Ian and Mickey. A lot of shows don’t bring this up.
Noels acting was outstanding this episode. He needs an Emmy nom stat.
My favorite 2 mins of this episode. The way Ian says asshole but that moment is filled with so much love, and how he tells Mickey he’s so much better than that 😫😭❤️❤️

The way Ian asks "can I help?" And doesn't move until he gets the nod from Mickey. I loved that. Usually he is pushy 🤭 but not this time. 😍😍😍😍
Right?? Everyone is (understandably) talking about Mickey's growth as a character, but I'm also really impressed with Ian's. He not only showed that he is now able to accept caretaking from Mickey at the beginning of the scene, but he waited for Mickey's permission to step in and help since it was clear Mickey needed to be in control here. Ian is really growing up, y'all!

Mickey and Terry are just alike that’s why Terry can’t except that Mickey is gay! He wanted Mickey to be his successor to the “Milkovich throne” but like any other homophobe, he thinks gay makes Mickey less..
And „Shut the fuck up“- he said it to Terry when the latter came to „congratulate“ him on his engagement to Ian. It was the first time he stood up to his father and showed hom he is no longer afraid of him. Also, hate to say it - in the previous scene, when Mickey points a gum at Terry and does not shoot, guess who lifts a single eyebrow. Hate to see this endearing gesture on Terry.

Mickey and Ian's relationship is much more special than a regular, predictable boring realationship you see in other tv shows. their realationship is unique because it subtracts the clique and every day, it's a new surprise with them. Call me crazy, but I like that kind of relationship.
Then call me crazy too 😁 Their love is just special. Also Shameless is the first (and so far the only) show I've seen where the gay relationship isn't based on stereotypes, which I find refreshing.

This season is bringing back that kind of emotion and authenticity that made us fall in love with the past seasons of shameless, but now it’s ending 😭😭
You think Mickey would be this amazing person people rave about if it weren't for Ian? Imagine if he never met Ian. Imagine that 16 year old Ian giving up after Mickey call him a warm mouth after their hook ups or beating him up all the time. Imagine Ian walking away because he doesnt want to get involve in that toxic abuse. Mickey will be the next Terry Milkovich following his father's footsteps. Ian is the reason why he has a whole new family now.
And Mickey keeps Ian grounded, or else he would have been unmediated bipolar causing havoc on his family.

Este capítulo hasta ahora y por mucho fue el mejor de S11, el viejo shameless regresó. Ver el crecimiento de Mickey es ENORME! Unos años atrás quizás hasta meses no hubiera dudado en meterle una bala en el cráneo a Terry pero ahora es un adulto que simplemente no quiere convertirse en su padre y quien sabe que aún tiene a Ian y no puede perderlo, no de nuevo. Y en cuanto a Noel y la escena pasada entre Mickey y Terry fue simplemente ESTUPENDA. Puedo verla 5,10,100 veces sigo sintiendo un nudo en la garganta al ver la interpretación tan pura y real de Noel para Mickey en un momento así simplemente te hace sentir parte de. 👌🏼
La differencia entre Mickey y Terry es, que Mickey tiene Ian y ha aprendido a amar. El Mickey tiene un corazon enorme y cariñoso :)

TBH only Gallavich, Frank and Liam has the most interesting scenes this season. Kev and V's story was better with Svetlana imo.
Anyone else want more.. they seemed like it was all going to be tied up in a pretty bow but then again it wouldn’t be shameless but my heart wants closure. I want to see Frank’s farewell.. I wanted Fiona to come home even if just for the funeral, I wanted to see what happened to Deb and I didn’t want it to be her taking franny on the run with a psycho and was that Carl’s kid? I think yes but what’s up with her and her boss. And they never said where Carl was going… he was still pumping out the basement when the place was being sold, so many questions and I’m good with not all questions being answered but damn the only part I felt closure on was Mikey and terry’s relationship

Yes. Every child wants to be loved by their parents, Terry wasn't capable to love his children the way they deserve. I wish we could have some insight into Terry and his wife's past (especially because not much is known about Mickey's mom other than the fact that she's dead). It's sad how deep down we can have feelings for people who caused us so much hurt...
