The main reason i watched the show was for ian and mickey
In season 5 he was declining but since season 6 where he left Mickey because of his bipolarity and he didn’t appear for 4 and a half seasons it was Ian’s total decline, but fortunately then he goes up again when Mickey appears again 😊
Ian really did become a character without a story when Gallavich wasn't there. His story was basically Caleb and then Trevor and how they influenced his life. He needed some space to self direct.
Well Caleb did help Ian find his self worth and strive to become something. Once he became an EMT he realized he really liked helping people. Too bad the writers made Caleb out to be a cheater.
@@ms.jackson1011 that's what I was gonna say. Mickey did have anything to do with Ian becoming a paramedic and he loved doing that. It was an honest living and helped people.

So, I havent watched Shameless yet but I have a question: How many times did Ian change jobs? Because it seems like a lot of times...
Tbf considering the show covers 11 seasons and 9 years it’s not surprising he’s had a few different jobs. The ones I think he had are:
S1-3 he worked in a store
S4-5 he worked at a gay bar
S5-6 he worked as a dish washer
S6 he was a janitor for a while
S6-8 he was an EMT
S10 he had an insurance scam job due to his parole
S11 he worked at a warehouse and then started his own business with Mickey
So that’s 8 jobs I think but I may be forgetting one or two
@mia yeah it is surprising but tbf 2 of them were before he was diagnosed, 2 of them were parole jobs, 1 of them he was hired by his sister and another is something he and his husband are running
