Writing vocal melodies was one of the most difficult things in which I sucked badly ... Thankyou So much Austin Sir for being there for us beginners . You are Music Teaching God to us !!!
I love how every artist has a different take on a song. I hummed melodies to this, then listened to yours, I always enjoy hearing different interpretations!
Very helpful! I realised that it works very badly to make vocals from a melody recorded with piano... somehow it doesn't work for me. Is it probably better to sing in, hum in or whistle in? Question: why you don't use track versions for the different ideas?
The fact that he made a video of him really starting out with his vocals, explaining keys, arrangements makes this video even more intriguing 😳🤔👀...definitely would pay for mentoring make sure to subscribe to boost his channel
@@jimmyjay977 from personal experience i just usually track the melody with the piano as acompaiment and try to then produce a track on top of the simple piano you have as an accompainment, then if you want you can even discard the skeleton piano and keep simply the melody and the beat. like a sketch to a drawing which you erase after lining up with ink.
Great tutorial! Been trying to find ways to teach students producing vocal melodies and this was not only a great example but also sounds excellent and relatable 👍👍
Dude, this was an awesome video, I liked your honest approach, being able to see the whole process was very honest. Thank you for the extremely helpful tips. looking forward to binge watching your channel!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I find it hard to get started with writing music and get into the "flow". Your videos are helping so much because you have structured process! Great melody btw
hey can u help me with one question? i wanted to know that if i have 4 lines written lyrics then, in making beat should i have to double the bars of 4 lines or it would be same 4 lines lyrics 4 bars music beat ? can u please help me with this confusion 🤞
hey, can you do a tutorial on making a song that is more percussive based and has less melodic elements like Focus, Shake it Off etc love your videos though
I really love these reversed vocal sounds or the "oos and ahs" after the last sentence of the chorus. But I feel that last line could've been further driven home if it was said in the middle of those vocals and once more at the very end. Great video tho! Really helped me to see this process in a new light :)
I always find myself mumbling melodies like you when listening to tracks and then immediately forgetting what I just sang. I should just start recording everything lol
Melodies are key,, and you got em' brother-,, great to see your process,, sometimes they come for me,, if someone else is in the room, sometimes i'm strugglin'- very helpful-- as always,, thank you,,- (great voice by the way man-that tone👊🏽),,
Good job bro. 👏You may not be one of those Disney pop singers but your process was awesome. Thanks for sharing. Two thumbs down 👎at this time but some persons will never appreciate a gift. Big up yourself.
please tell how to do ear training so that i can create new melodies. how you get melodies in your head while listetning to chord progressions and music tracks . i am a beginner
Hey Austin! Love the video. I would LOVE to see a video of you actually singing into the mic. I'm curious on where you have it set up, how much sound proofing is around it, etc, and would love to see your mic technique. Thanks so much for the amazing videos dude! Your channel is FIRE
The issue is I can't screen cap as I record with the mic. I just track in the room you're looking at here. Mic is right next to my desk and I stand between 8-12 inches back :D Advanced Audio 251 > Heritage Audio HA81A > Apollo Twin > Computer and then just processing it from there.
@@MakePopMusic Thanks for the reply! Ok so that's good to know you are recording in the same room. I was most curious about that. That's how I currently record as well, although I don't have as many panels up yet, but just ordered some more from GIK! Btw, I am slowly working my way though your entire course bundle and having a blast. Thanks for everything you do man
i really like the demo 3 for the verse maybe its just me but i think you should try using that range of your voice more cuz it really hits when u go higher
Your mumbling ideas are better than most major singles out there. Good work 🔥🔥🔥
By far the BEST song writing video I’ve seen on here.

Another awesome video. I love the outline idea to keep the direction of the song on point. This is becoming my favorite channel. Thank you!
What about a tutorial the other way around. What if you've lyrics and melody but don't know how to transfer that into a complete song in your DAW?
@jehovas shoota I mostly write my songs on the piano with text. But I just don’t know how to make it to a full production.
@@jimmyjay977 i have the same problem. if you get an answer or if you figure it out, can you please, please ping me or give me a shout?
