  • Peacock Debuted in 2020 and had a pretty hard time getting started. It could not get a lot of new originals out because studios shut down because of Covid and the Olympics did not take place in 2020 because of Covid 19. It had to figure out a distribution strategy that could not rely on established films coming off theatrical runs or newly filmed network content. Over the past 2 years, the service has found its footing, an identity, and made some major improvements to its app both in content and presentation. Check it out here.

Comcast has their fingers in a lot of pies. They must have some plan. I do know that if you were a WWE Fan that by 2025 all of their big events will be on Netflix as well as their main shows weekly.

It really sucks that it's no longer free for xfinity users. They cut that out last month.

I wish they had local channels, USA Network, and Fox Sports 1

peacock Premium Plus has Your Local NBC Live Channel, plus all of the Networks owned by Comcast, NBC, and Universal Studios. Sounds like a pretty solid lineup of channels to Me.

Have had the app for about a week and am happy thus far. If you're into pro wrestling it's definitely a must have.

Yes. While there are other promotions like ROH, AEW, IWGP and New Japan, Peacock gives you about 70 percent of US wrestling history. And for the other small US promotions, just give it time.

It's been worth it for us for the WWE stuff alone. I never bought the WWE Network, but when peacock offered the stuff for 4.99 it was hard to pass up with the other content it offered.

The version you get a Peacock for free with being an Xfinity subscriber is frustrating at best. Thank goodness they don’t have too many shows you want to watch because the commercials are never ending and you can’t get into the flow of a show

You can if you get the most expensive version which I believe is $9.99

I guess you could call it that. But it has partnerships with totally unrelated things like Hallmark and the WWE.

This is what I hate there are way too many streaming services. Plus unfortunately now you have to pay for peacock which is absolutely ridiculous.

oh yeah. Not exactly, but yes it is starting to take form like an actual organized app. One thing those two companies have in common is that they understand how to deliver content in a way that engages their audience. And I don't think Peacock was doing that effectively before. Nothing more annoying than knowing something is there but not knowing where to find it.

I'm thinking about ditching peacock and going back to Paramount+

    • @thestreamingadvisor
      @thestreamingadvisor  Год назад +1

I like how easy it is to do that kind of thing. I used black Friday sales to get both services for about the same price as one.

I got peacock premium for 20 for the whole year. That has gotten better over time. They started a live feed of MSNBC Morning Joe. That's great for cord cutters. I still prefer Paramount for 60 a year (Black Friday) and the highest level with no commercials.

@@_BlueCollarGamerNo, the adds are short. They barely interrupt the movies or show that you are watching.

I tried Peacock for the 1st time recently to binge watch The Office for the first time in years.
Couldn’t get past S-7. Never again: like a 3rd World streaming service. Kept cutting out every time the screen went to black, or started over.
Never had such problems with/ Amazon, Netflix, or Hulu. And I paid the extra bit to be ad-free. Meanwhile their title selection is pathetic; Hulu had way more options, and they’re not any better in that regard than Netflix (which has gone WAY downhill since I tried them the 1st time back in 2013.)

It is just plain wrong that peacock is exclusively streaming random college football games. My 90 year old father, a veteran, loves the Buckeyes. He has no computer, no internet. Thanks a lot greedy peacock execs. Thanks for disrespecting the elderly.
