My friends and I gilded Conqueror this season because we noticed how close we were to it just by playing the game, we only had like 2 or 3 GMs missing. We were kinda scared of The Corrupted but we learned about a cheese that lets you have infinite Flechette Storm that can break the immune shields on Strand Titan using the orbs of that nightfall, we also learned that if you walk far enough to spawn the ogre boss and then quickly walk back to the stairs without fully entering the arena, you will not spawn the champion that hides at the back of the room in the dark dimension (I don't know how it's called) and you will still get platinum without ever having to enter the arena. With that knowledge I swear Corrupted now became the actual easiest GM this whole season which is insane. Also, praise Tony.

i feel like the commendation score is sooooo much bs, ive been stuck on 8 and literally the only thing i need is for people to give me my godamn score but they just flat out leave when the mission ends its so annoying. Edit: nvm he literally heard my prayers and pointed it out😭
i remember farming to rank 11 the first time the guardian rank system came out and decided "this is incredibly boring im never doing it again" it's not particularily hard but i remember getting the blue and green commendation requirements for rank 11 being super annoying because i had done everything else but just needed commendations, so i basically begged people at the end of raid and dungeon runs to give me blue or green commendations.
I'm honestly glad that the hardest part you had to deal with was Gilding Conquerer. The thing I'm struggling with is getting people who will run Crota's end that aren't incompetent, and I still need to solo WR.
I gave up on trying to be a completionist solely because of unreliable teammates. The RNG when it comes to people is worse than RNG in game, I swear. So, raid titles, any hard achievement that requires six dedicated people, are things I accepted I'll probably never complete.

Congrats on paragon, I do wish guardian ranks would have you play every aspect of game, considering they were marketed to us as “mastery over the game” but there’s nothing to do with pvp in latter ranks (pvp is quite literally half the game) so to not even touch it is so ridiculous
As regular gambit player, the best advice I can give for getting the last part done on the malfeasance quest is this: use Dead Man’s Tale or a strong pulse, and either use ghorn or a strong machine gun. Easy, cheesy, and most importantly, fun.
That is some serious grinding and a much bigger achievement because of it. I always get rank 10 but master raids and solo dungeons prevent me from being rank 11 every season.
Truly saying 'nows the time for Paragon' with the absolute worst GM rotation we've literally ever had XD (I think the only 'good one' is Lake of Shadows, with The Corrupted not being terrible anymore due to being able to just stand in the back during the final section and plink plonk away. But the entire rest of the list is painnn compared to stuff like Devil's Lair and the like which often shows up XD). But hay, even more of an achievement joining the Paragon gang. Did great climbing all the way up the ranks! And wish you the best if you decide to do it next...whatever we are calling the next rotation!
Whene and my bud decided we wanted to get that 11, my biggest timesink was the 90 exotics (took me like 2 months). But when we got to 10, that master crotas was a BANE. Effectively 3 days of attempts with varying people but when we did it, man did that feel good.
With lightfall, you no longer need to do shuro chi for catalysts. Grasp of avarice entrance is best for primaries, and the lightfall mission breakneck has a free rally flag after the brief parkour section through the glass door, just kill everything in there except the wyvern. Its also permanently checkpointed.
Yeah, I'm just waiting on the green & blue Commendations for Rank 10 again; it's usually what I end up stuck on for weeks. Fun fact: way back when I got it, I did Protect the Runner while I was solo-queueing, on the Tangled Shore map with the death ravines in the middle, and we were against a 4-stack (iirc). Yes, that did mean a team of matchmade randoms beat out a 4-stack and one of us flawlessly banked 75 Motes. I think that was also back in Trench Barrel Ikelos' heyday before the big TB nerf.
I got rank eight in season of the deep but have never tried to get above seven since, I just don't want to deal with champions, I can't stand any activity with them in. But you endures the sufferring and made it through, good job.
Just to let y'all know the only raids I've done is vault of Glass and Kings fall I have not done any other raids than those two so I need help with that. Also I meant rank 7.

Commendation Score is what limits me. Nobody gives out commendations anymore, so the score just never increases. I'd get locked at solo dungeon, though anyway.
Commendations is the most annoying part of ranking up for me. I've already hit rank 11 both in Lightfall's launch and Season of the Deep but afterwards couldn't be bothered to do it because I'd already have most of the other triumphs complete but then get stopped by having to get an extra 500 commendation score. Which is such an unbelievable slog and grind.
I honestly thought solo flawlessing the most recent dungeon was the hardest part. Maybe because I regularly run GMs anyways, so I don't find MOST of them to be that hard... but then with a solo flawless dungeon, ONE little mistake can banish you back to the start. It just always felt nerve racking, and I REALLY didn't want all my time to be wasted, so I ended up playing slow and safe, and it took forever, and I hated it.
8:59 gambit main here, seeing you get a team together for that 75 more requirement makes me feel so dumb. 😂 I had do that solo with randoms, and I've succeeded in that exactly once lol. All the other Dredgen requirements are easy to moderately easy, they just need time and patience. But that 75 mote one is nuts!

Hey Toad, I was stuck on Step 6 of Darkness In The Light and I used Edge transit with Impulse amplifier + Explosive light. That combo one shots guardians. I still use it in pvp
Recently I picked back up my alt account after not playing on it since 2019. Shitty gear, no titles, and terrible armor stats. Got it endgame ready in a matter of six weeks. Getting almost all relevant crafted weapons (e.g. forebearance, zaouli's, etc) was one thing but getting ALL 90 EXOTICS was one helluva grind!
The hardest part for me so far has been acquiring 90 exotics lmao. I’ve been playing since launch and now it really hit me how I’ve been ignoring so many weapons. I was 74 out of 90 at first. I need 2 more lmao.
Having watched the grandmaster stream for paragon I can attest that it was pain for the Toadsmoothie. There were laughs and then there were tears. What an adventure it was. P.S. there weren’t any tears shed it just sounds cool.

Maybe I need to join a discord or something because I'm personally finding it difficult to find grinders who want and have the time to challenge themselves and go for the harder content. Like raid titles. I'd love to get a few raid titles and master a raid like that, but it seems impossible because I've never met anyone who wanted to do those, let alone had the patience. I love and hate the six-man raid requirement, and I especially dislike needing to rely on others heavily for certain things like raid shaders, flawless raid, etc.
Reached Rank 11 two weeks ago aswell. The worst for me was Solo Warlords Ruin (bc of Last Boss and the Bug that made it hard to escape from the prison after first Encounter) and Crota on Master. I have done multiple Master Raids before, also with Challenges, but Master Crota was especially annoying😂
