@@atsukana1704 Everyone's perception of this raid is "OMG RAID NOT EVEN HARD JUST BAD" so ofc everyone would turn their brains off, as they've come in with a shitty mindset (this is just what I've personally experienced and seen others experience).
Garden of salvation is definitely one of the most amazing experiances for me personally. This is the raid that says “you aren’t getting carried though this, you need to be skilled to get past me” and it stays true through every encounter. Everyone’s always doing something, and it helps add to that first time clear experiance so much. This is the most beautiful raid in destiny, imo. The garden, the views, the skybox, the transition from light to dark for boss, it’s so pretty. And divinity serves a reason why it’s one of the best weapons in the game, because it’s by far the hardest to get. No RNG, no days long grind, just a single raid to prove your worth to the darkness that you deserve that weapon. The divinity puzzles served as a testament to how secret raid puzzles should be done, as they work with the theme and still have interesting mechanics. So far I’ve done 14 divinity runs, sherparing 57 guardians as of now. I don’t run this raid if I’m not helping others, because getting people their first clear or the hardest exotic in the game is a feeling like no other. I love this raid.
I'm in exactly the same boat, I adore this raid and have done at least 10 div runs getting well over 30 people div and there is genuinely no better feeling. This is the ultimate sherpa raid as you cant just carry and stick the sherpees on ad clear.
I played this raid for the first time like 2 seasons ago (took a break during most of shadowkeep) and it easily has the best aesthetic of any current d2 raid, although dsc comes close in that category. In terms of the encounters, my entire team were going in with 0 clears and we had an absolute blast. Took us about 4.5 hours to clear it for the first time and get divinity, so all around I think we did pretty well.
@@trickytreyperfected1482 I personally think that it’s the best raid in the game currently, in terms of atmosphere and mechanics. But the winner of all D2 raids goes to scourge in my book
@@Penguinman2.0 I think it does alright with atmosphere. For me personally, it's not the most groundbreaking in terks of design, but granted I was already familiar with the raid rooms, so that could be why. I feel like there's extra bias because I HATED King's Fall in D1. For me it's a hard choice between Garden and Leviathan. Garden because it's so absolutely beautiful and Leviathan because it really felt like a raid (probably because of how hedonistic Calus is, so everything is grand and luxurious). That being said, yeah I can see why King's Fall is the best raid in the game personally. Although ignoring what I just said about Garden and Levi, I think Last Wish is probably the best raid in the game currently because Riven is such a great encounter. But because of the cheese, I just don't ever really do the raid because convincing fireteams to do legit Riven (and then having to teach them it) is more of a headache than it's worth. I think the fact that I clearly can't make up my mind about these raids just shows how great the raid design team at Bungie is.
Note for anyone seeing this in the future, if you have to stop playing the raid, you don't actually need to start over completely for divinity You can have someone go in to any checkpoint of the raid and backtrack to the first encounter, then if everyone else joins them, you spawn at first encounter to do puzzles from the start, but don't have to redo any encounter you completed
I LOVE garden. I don’t know what’s up with it but I feel like the 2 runs I’ve done I’ve participated in almost every role of both the div puzzles and the encounters. I like the armor from it, at least for hunter, and because the two groups I did it with were chill I got to use pretty much whatever load out I wanted.
Garden is a gorgeous raid scenery wise and the mechanics are challenging but also fun I personally think the raid can be pretty fun if everyone knows what they are doing
These kinds of raids are why I love doing sherpa runs. Melting through raids with experienced groups is all good and well, but having fun with less familiar players and giving them a long-lasting positive experience never gets old to me.
First raid completion was garden. It is super fun mechanically. The 2nd encounter can get a little stale when you don't have angelics on your point, but I like the consecrated mind fight and the final boss as well. Definitely a good feeling when you get it right and bake the boss when your juggling filling the banks, keeping ads back, and rebuilding the damn arena lol
Garden has to be the prettiest raid I've tried, and honestly the Div puzzles aren't even that bad. The biggest hurdle was Sanctified Mind, but as of today my group managed to struggle through him with-- to our amusement-- a mix of Riskrunner and Sanguine Alchemy of all things. Definitely like it.
Garden is a good raid but gets a bad rep for 3 reasons: A. Second encounter is really long B. A lot of the time if you mess up, unless your team is really good/ knows the mechanics well enough it’ll result in a wipe C. People teach this raid and do div at the same time which extends how long the raid is and makes people have a really bad perception of it (mainly talking about lfg)
I love this raid and wish that more people would run it. The asthetic is amazing, jumping puzzles are fun, and it has some pretty cool weapons. The final boss is annoying, but its really not that bad once everyone understands the encounter.
That Last puzzle is so damn simple but it melts peoples brains the first time and its always hilarious. The tip is never try and take more than 2 new players there. 3 is the max unless you know they are somewhat smart. But with only 2 you make them 1 and 6 so they can just go to the first one from each end.
Man, if you think your divinity experience was bad just wait till you hear mine. So back during the season of the lost, Just getting into raiding, I thought that I should go and get divinity since I didn't have it and I was so new that I would be a helpful raid member with it. Though I get a team together using LFG since none of my friends played destiny. Make a long story short most of the fire team had never done it before, Most of them were barely ready to raid, And in total it took 13 Hours to get it, , 7 of those hours was during the final div puzzle, it was one of the worst experiences that i have had in destiny, but props to the guy who did know he was super patient and we could not have done it without him. I took a break for a while after that.
I was a Day 1 in Garden and still absolutely adore GoS to this day. Every encounter is unique and gives you lots of options on ways to do them. It’s probably the best challenge vs amount of fun you can have in any D2 raid. Nothing has to be meta every single step of the way and you can teach it so easily to new players. You can also screw around with your friends and it doesn’t feel like anyone is throwing at any point if you do.
My team and I for the most part LOVE this raid. Most of it is awesome, it has a great aesthetic and the loot isnt half bad either. What we do hate is how motes function during the final mechanic. That encounter almost incentivizes you to not use good ad clear to avoid yeeting motes off of the cliff. If that isnt happening you just have to hope your motes dont get stuck in the ground and everything is fine..... bungo pls fix motes
It's a good raid, perhaps a little too much reliance on ad filler though. I like running it; Divinity's quest line is pretty cool and the Garden will always be an amazing location for any content.
Holds a special place in my heart. First ever raid, beautiful scenery. My clan leader was my Sherpa, was 35 beers deep and it was a blast. Kicked off my deeper love for the game
The problen with Garden, is it's all we had in terms of pinnacle raid content for over a year, from between shadowkeep and beyond light, all we got was an absurd amount of energy weapons, and after that long, getting tethered was more annoying than interactive. It's a decent enough raid by itself, but coming after a year with 2 raid lairs, and Last Wish, to only have GoS for 14 months, the sentiment behind GoS soured for a lot of players.
Ran my first garden last week and I think it's a ton of fun, I actually kinda like how the last boss has everyone participating instead of a couple people just kinda on ad clear. It feels like an encounter that requires everyone to be in sync (which can make it more frustrating when you're not having the best time) but it's so so rewarding when you get it
After watching 3 full videos then somewhere before the final puzzle in this video, I just love the chemistry between you all! Amazing content and I will be binging your stuff for awhile!
Maybe I had a good LFG group, but I did this with 4 other people who had never done it before and one sherpa and I had a great time. We managed to first try most encounters and got the boss 3rd try so maybe we were just a good group, but I thought it was mechanically interesting and a good raid and I found the boss to be challenging which was a nice change from other raids. I had a similar amount of laughs as you guys when I was doing the puzzles as well. There were definitely bugs, I had to leave and re-join a few times after accidentally going out of bounds after getting lost, it became a running joke, but overall it was a good time and we all got the drama gun. Lot's of joking abut how it's div that's the problem and not the 40% damage resistance (I know they're separate issues, but it was funny). This was 2 weeks ago.
Garden of Salvation was a good raid, it’s just, Last Wish was the recent Expansion raid and it set the bar so unbelievably high. And the fact that Garden feels more like a Seasonal Raid with the Season of the Undying coming out with it. Like it, can be fun with an LFG that knows what to do, but teaching it is a nightmare
Garden is a good raid it just makes people think and apparently that's a lot to ask for and I strongly feel like it shouldn't be that much to ask... I found that teaching people their own particular role helps GREATLY for this raid.
Ahhh, I remember my 13 hour div run. The last seven hours being spent at the sanctified mind, because motes just couldn’t help but glitch through the ground. Totally a great time.
I know this is unpopular but garden is one of my favorite raids. I still use the title “Enlightened” and one of my favorite weapons is the bow from the raid. I think the first encounter is great, second one is boring and too easy now, third one is pretty fun on both teams, and final boss is fun if you have a good team but frustrating if you have bad teammates.
I personally really love Garden, on my birthday I set up a birthday divinity run with my friends and it was some of the most fun I had in destiny, and it's cool to have divinity
The first run my buddies did lasted 5 hours and was painful and stupid and felt like it was being buggy. Turns out some people weren’t stopping the vex from sacking and each sack took motes away. Then the next day we had a Sherpa and we did it in a hour because he showed us that you can put all the notes in one side and vex won’t sack that totem anymore as well as he was super good. It was fun though, glad I came around to liking this
Some people don't realise that the short damage phase presses as much damage as the long one since 3 are always blocked for portions of it, but I overall like the raid very much
I did this recently with a sherpa where we were ALL programmers, tech support etc and we all just danced effortlessly through that last puzzle. It was like watching a military formation or something.
So this is gonna be long, but Garden is actually a solid raid. The 2nd encounter and the harpy boss are some of the coolest designed mechanics with having you move with the boss for dps. My only issues are the tether mechanic being odd. Idk how to describe it, but it always feels finnicky, the gambit motes are alright, but I think the Motes system works way better on something like Prophecy. Finally, the weapons need a new perk set and if possible, an origin trait. But tbh, new perks would work for me. Divinity, I am truly unsure, so I'll just say that I think a rework would help things but I am also unsure of a rework. Finally, the last puzzle moment is the kind of energy I love seeing and couldn't breathe because of laughter.
I love how people make the 3rd encounter harder than it need to be because you just need people constantly switching over from the g team between and they will never die to Voltaic
Garden = best raid I get how when you first do it, it can be a little confusing, but with the right people and correct understanding, it's easy as pie.
Garden has quickly become my favorite destiny 2 raid and second favorite overall in recent memory, I had only ever done it once before and I really started getting into it and appreciating it. The armor, weapons, aesthetic, music, encounters, and mechanics are all really good and enjoyable. The title is also my favorite and was pretty fun to do. I still do sherpa runs every now and then and it never takes longer than an hour and a half, the raid isn’t hard, it just requires good communication and teamwork, which is hard for a lot of lfgs. (And that’s usually how people experience garden)
I was honestly expecting someone in the fireteam to be like "Wait why cant I open this chest?" I helped a group with a Div run and they couldn't open the chest because they weren't on the quest step for the raid.
I feel the pain of getting kicked to orbit during a div run. It happened to me when we had the final boss down to a quarter health going into the last damage phase. I got it in another run after that, but its the main reason why I really don't like running Garden.
I think having divinity behind a raid/quest wall cuts down on just how many people have it and thus evens out the need for a nerf. Not everyone is able to simply go and get it let alone knows what to do. Garden is an interesting raid to say the least.
I really enjoyed Garden when I finally did it. Call me weird, but I enjoyed the focus on mechanics. Also, the Div drama… I'm with you and glad it got a fair nerf
The funny part about this Raid is that there is a glitch with the Sanctified Mind that makes his health increase every time you wipe. That's part of what makes groups fail, fall die trying on the boss and quit because they can't keep up with the boss's health increasing.
Honestly, the fact that I went in blind with this raid through the fireteam finder while doing a div run and the fact that we did it cleaner than you guys while I COULDN'T HEAR THEIR VOICES IN GAME VC, is both hilarious and sad. You never fail to be funny as hell.
I think garden only gets a bad rep because it came out with a not so good dlc and everyone’s first time doing it is always a div run. I find the raid to be a lot of fun and visually pleasing
i'll say this hot take rn. garden is an s tier raid. if you dont like it for the motes then i dont see you complaining about grasp or any other object on the ground you pick up as a mechanic that isnt a triangle, if you hate the teather mechanic for it being buggy then sorry to tell you its not you just need to not panic and position better. rant over love your content toad i was dying laughing from this lmao keep up the quality content
I think garden is one of the best raids aesthetically but I ruined it for myself by taking 5 people through their first run to get divinity back when it first dropped
Just got done with it (Including securing my position as a bottom in bed) and by The Traveler, the raid itself was challenging, but the divinity puzzle was even more so. A guy in my Raid even forgot to do the last quest step so he did it all for naught. So for anyone out there who is thinking about a Div run, please for the love of God make sure your quest step says 4/4 AKA you bring the core to the lectern of enchantment when it says Divine fragmentation.
Garden is great, aesthetic is perfect, people complain because they don't want to learn how to play the raid or have a insane skill issues with it And about the divinity, you should do some clears before doing the quest, divinity puzzle is usually awful cuz people don't want to play the game and get better

Hearing toad have a literal meltdown from various parts of the nervous system dancing was definitely the highlight
I love how people make the 3rd encounter harder than it need to be because you just need people constantly switching over from the g team between and they will never die to Voltaic
That was funny AF. subbed.
another banger by toad, you love to see it
Garden = best raid
I get how when you first do it, it can be a little confusing, but with the right people and correct understanding, it's easy as pie.
That last puzzle had everyone laughing so hard they imploded. Talk about mental combustion
I love garden like fr it's great, the only problem is lfg can't hang sometimes it requires good communication
That final puzzle brought back so much ptsd
Keep it up my man! Love these vids 😄
10:45 my name was said I’m in a toad video EPICCCCC
I wasted 7 hours of my live on the divinity quest and i am fully aware that those 7 hours that dissapeared will never return
(1:11)
See, and this is exactly why we can't have nice things, the raid hasn't even started and your *already oobing!*
The boss music theme is a bop. Unless you've been in this encounter for as much hours as I have lmao
Man i watched the final div puzzle 3 times, was literally crying laughing, so funny dude 😂
"Medulla Oblongata shmoovin" has to be the best combination of words in that entire stream.
Damn I wish my dad didn't take my tech for staying up late in the middle of the stream but this was good
I feel the pain of getting kicked to orbit during a div run. It happened to me when we had the final boss down to a quarter health going into the last damage phase. I got it in another run after that, but its the main reason why I really don't like running Garden.
Best part is how yall are just casuals. No min maxed builds just having a good time.
I personally like gos, it's just people don't know what they are doing or have a bad team.
The funny part about this Raid is that there is a glitch with the Sanctified Mind that makes his health increase every time you wipe. That's part of what makes groups fail, fall die trying on the boss and quit because they can't keep up with the boss's health increasing.
Watching y’all loose your marbles midway through is the best part as everyone devolves into hysterical laughter.
as someone who did this raid for the first time last week i absolutley hate consecrated mind i dont mind the last boss
My friends literally just helped me get div on saturday
This is a great representation
Always come back to this video when my brain is already fried. Just to get big laugh out of it good job buddy
When that server downtime hit I died on stream.
This is currently the best raid. Farming it with a good team is really satifying and its the fastest to farm like 16min per run
Halo: Reach comment, 6:28. This is my favorite Destiny channel.
Halo 2 7:36
Honestly, the fact that I went in blind with this raid through the fireteam finder while doing a div run and the fact that we did it cleaner than you guys while I COULDN'T HEAR THEIR VOICES IN GAME VC, is both hilarious and sad. You never fail to be funny as hell.
The ending had me reeling, had to load it up on my phone from my TV to comment for the algorithm 😁😂
I think garden only gets a bad rep because it came out with a not so good dlc and everyone’s first time doing it is always a div run. I find the raid to be a lot of fun and visually pleasing
I like garden the most, it has very cool mechanics and amazing aesthetics
i'll say this hot take rn. garden is an s tier raid. if you dont like it for the motes then i dont see you complaining about grasp or any other object on the ground you pick up as a mechanic that isnt a triangle, if you hate the teather mechanic for it being buggy then sorry to tell you its not you just need to not panic and position better. rant over love your content toad i was dying laughing from this lmao keep up the quality content
Garden is a totally different experience when it’s a fast sub 20 run, it’s unbearable as a slow run but fun when it’s fast
I think garden is one of the best raids aesthetically but I ruined it for myself by taking 5 people through their first run to get divinity back when it first dropped
Bruh you seriously had me cry laughing when you read all those chats to "his brain is doing the cha cha" lol
bluds brain stem hitting the wap rn
Doing Garden of Salvation but we can only say Divinity
Sounds like a good time!
Except if you're Donovan
In which case your brain is a whole ass disco
Just got done with it (Including securing my position as a bottom in bed) and by The Traveler, the raid itself was challenging, but the divinity puzzle was even more so. A guy in my Raid even forgot to do the last quest step so he did it all for naught. So for anyone out there who is thinking about a Div run, please for the love of God make sure your quest step says 4/4 AKA you bring the core to the lectern of enchantment when it says Divine fragmentation.
Garden is great, aesthetic is perfect, people complain because they don't want to learn how to play the raid or have a insane skill issues with it
And about the divinity, you should do some clears before doing the quest, divinity puzzle is usually awful cuz people don't want to play the game and get better
Everything till the last boss is fun
