Matt, I compliment you and Ryan. You are taking a young man, Lucas, on a learning journey that will last him and benefit him a life time. Congratulations for mentoring him and Congratulate Lucas for being a sponge and taking all the new information in and taking it to heart. May you continue to be abundantly blessed. John here, photographing the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
That's pretty awesome that you were able to cover up those stairs now that you have the other ones done. So much more room for activities! That's quite an accomplishment
One of the things I like about you and the Captain as well is you don't hide the struggle when it is there. If something isn't perfect or doesn't go exactly like you hoped you deal with it. It doesn't get edited out like on them fancy pants channels where nothing ever goes wrong, Yeah right!😆That room has come a long long way from that day terrifing you wife and kids taking them up there before you had done any work on the castle. Looks really nice Matt. You and your team have done wonders.
I wanted to comment something clever with various capital letters. But I’m too exhausted from trying to finish this basement that for some reason I thought was a good idea to build with 3 radius and 50 corners 😂.
@@rmacsrmaddog2192 great question. I’m going to try to have the next one ready no later than Sunday. This heat has been brutal. I don’t want to do anything at night. Ready to get a roof on and be out of the sun 🤣
You always want to 'comment SLUM-thing clever'..... but it aint happened yet. Looky Cool is a whole lot of work. Wait til you start paying the monthly nut to cover (and clean) your Haney dreams of Wonky Kong grandur.
Nicely done, Matt & Lucas. I honestly have not been able to relax when you guys were up there, until this video when you closed the hole. There's a lot of room up there and I can see all kinds of shenanigans you could get up to there.😁Thanks for sharing, Matt.
Looks good Mat, this whole project has been enjoyable to watch, before you know it you will be to the punch list phase of the project, thanks for the update, appreciate your videos.
It sucks to be a one man band, when the job really needs two.you gotta do what you gotta do.coming along, just takes time, money, patience, more money than you be getting there.nice to have Lucas to show up and help finish out.good video as always.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Watching you do all this work is just one more reminder why I was a tool sharpener when I was working. I never inherited My mothers ability to work with wood.
Chalk line guess. Once that string gets moisture it won't hold or release the chalk right. Don't fight it. Put it is a dry place and buy a new one for the rest of your project.
Your makin this tough. Place your sheet on top of the sheet you want to butt to. Get a teller stick the width of your sheet. Now mark points on your sheet to line by using the teller stick from the wall to your sheet to cut, mark multiple spots then join the dots and cut.the sheet. This method is how a tiler cuts ceramic tiles
Now that was a good fit !!! Lucas obviously can use a tape measure correctly to ensure all the plywood (ha ha) fitted perfectly !!! Yolo, yodo..... nah 🤷♂️ I prefer to say " there are only two things you can be sure of ..... death and taxes" 😬🤣🤦♂️
It is YOLO because the phrase is describing that there is no ability to get a mulligan or do-over. It isn’t intended to be a one and done YOLO but more of a mantra to embrace for living every moment to its fullest. WRT YODO….there is nobody to celebrate that with; the only ones who care enough to discuss whether or not you died well cannot high five you anymore.
Question, if a dual saw has counter rotating blades and a recip saw work's as so ,then what is other name for a recip dual saw. A new puzzle for a laugh or two.
You guys gorilla your way through projects like like a barrel of monkeys playing 'Wonky Kong.' I like this comedy calamity team, and your de-Ryifcation efforts.
Everything's coming together nicely, & I think y'all were due some breaks cutting/fitting the OSB it all looks just great! I realize y'all were kidding around with the current sayings, but I just had to add something. The only time you die once is if you've turned to Jesus in repentance, and faith in Him alone saves you from Hell, which is the second death. The only real life is the eternal life that He gives you when you put your trust in Him. As perilous as the times have recently become, I felt it incumbent on me to say all this, & urge people that have never accepted the grace that God offers through Jesus to turn to Him in repentance, because the darkness we've been experiencing testifies that He coming back soon, & then it will be too late.
@nyamillennial nope I am a chippy by trade and the only reason u glue them down is to try and prevent lots of warping of the boards through temp changes

You might want to install a toilet with a built-in sink. Saves space.
There is practical and esthetic. Practical doesn't really sell.

For that tiny bathroom, maybe get the toilet with the built in sink? ;-)

Hey Randy.
In your case with the Castle, it’s an Octogogle not an octagon 😅
So true!! 😂😂
Great work guys been watching from the Beginning 😊❤ Love all
Awesome Job!!
That toilet at the top, you have mentioned the 4 inch drain several times but where is the water supply line? Where is the vent line?
Patients grasshopper 😂😂.
Love it when using a caulking gun, all the product comes out back and not tip. Not trying to jinx ya. In the shorter rows now!
Definitely not abnormal 😂🤣

your caulk line is caked up and not holding powder cut out the line to a dryer un clogged section. your line got wet to many times

Didn't think toliet sink was real
Instead of that small step. put taper step in and no tripping going into the room.
👍👍👍

Good morning breakfast clubber Do you think he built the building off square or is it due to settling of the building ?
I don’t think he had a tape measure square or anything lol
You can use a pry bar against the wall to pull the tongue and groove together.
Ouch, faceplant.🤕

Yes ;he’s reminding himself!
Squeaks actually happen between board edges not board on joist fella
I disagree. The squeaks is wood on metal “nail shaft”
