      Hi again Rich, apologies for the late reply. Yes, they've been fitted now. I didn't have any link pipe issues tbh but I did forget to take into account that the old gaskets may have deteriorated and of course they were. Half of the old gaskets came out with the old cans and I had to dig the rest out of the mid section with a screwdriver. Lining the new pipes up takes time as you will know but it's well worth it.

      Remapping the engine management would be the hardest thing to do, access to the software and computer that can do it. Swapping out the twist grip looks reasonably trivial.

    Hey man, sweet setup you have! (similar to mine haha)
    Sounds so damn good..
    Where have you got your Zoom mounted?
    Is your Zoom on auto or manual? If manual, mind sharing what settings you're running?
    I'm in the process of fine tuning my H1n.
    Cheers!

    • @user-jh7uf2ej2w
      @user-jh7uf2ej2w  6 лет назад

      Hey, thanks for watching. I place the zoom in a fanny pack that I wear when I want to record audio, I try to get it to sit directly in the middle of my back so that theres less wind noise.
      I tried it in a pouch mounted to the passenger footpeg but it gave too much distortion, depending on how loud your bike is that can be an option.
      Not entirely sure on all of the settings but my input level is set to 6 with the limiter on. I've also got a deadcat on the mic. Due to the exhaust being on the right side I have to slightly balance the audio in post, I'll dig the recorder out and reply with full settings

    • @softroadforester5533
      @softroadforester5533 6 лет назад

      Thanks, no rush or anything.
      I have a SC Project S1 on my bike so she's pretty damn loud.. in a good way!
      I've been running with my H1n under my passenger seat with a bit of cloth around the body sto keep it still but, find you lose a wee bit of the higher pitch audio and the whine of the drivetrain (gearbox and chan) is very prominent.
      I will have to give it a go with your fanny pack idea next time.

      ASTRIDE Just pulled the recorder out. I was recording at 48k 24bit but I’m going to experiment with 320kb mp3. As that’s what I’m rendering in. Great choice on the exhaust man, still yet to hear that system in person but I imagine it sounds ace. I tried recording with the zoom in a kriega us10 on my passenger seat and under the seat itself but over bumps the audio clipped a lot, even with the towel method. All trial and error I guess. Hopefully looking to get some decent content up soon enough, my old ND filter got destroyed and only just got round to replacing it!

      @@user-jh7uf2ej2w champion, thanks for that!
      I look forward to seeing more of your content - suppose the clock is ticking for you, about to leave summer behind (UK, I assume?)
      It's amazing how much more a ND filter adds to the video - really helps giving the sense of speed.
      I've got a few rides recorded but, looking back over the footage it's not too exciting (mainly due to traffic holding me up haha) but, will also start uploading some content very soon too. Bonus, here in NZ riding season is just starting 👌🏻.
      Do you have an Instagram or anything like that?

      No worries! Thanks, already autumn is setting in so making the most of what we've got. Agreed on the ND filter, the previous one I used on this video was only a light filter so I've ordered a few darker ones that'll hopefully emphasise the motion blur. Look forward to seeing content from you, I've seen a few small segments of NZ, which looks amazing for riding! I haven't got a bike specific instagram atm, if I set one up I'll give you a buzz. James Yeah I got it new in 2017, there’ll be a short supply as I believe they cut off production a couple months back in lieu of the new RS releasing. The R and S will follow shortly I think. Sometimes there’s 1 or 2 up on autotrader.

      @@user-jh7uf2ej2w How do you find it on the motorway? I'm guessing the wind is a bit intense. I'm looking at the bigger CC bikes as i imagine they're better for cruising at higher speeds than the 300 and 400s.

    • @user-jh7uf2ej2w
      @user-jh7uf2ej2w  5 лет назад

      @@James-mt4cc For a naked bike its fine, I wouldn't really recommend the triumph small flyscreen. The powerbronze one or the puig one like what I have now are better options. Theres some buffeting on really windy days but cruising at 80 its not that bad for a couple hours. When restricted its around 6k revs at 70 I believe. Can't you just buy the normal Street triple and have that on A2?

      Can't restrict a bike over 95hp, Standard S model has 108 I think

      @@user-jh7uf2ej2w ah okay I get confused cause ive been looking into the A2 laws and it has to be less than 70kw but I can't find if it's supposed to be crank or wheel. Cause how would they know it makes 47bhp restricted? They must have dynod it and I believe there's no hub Dyno for a bike so they mustve taken that reading from the wheel. So if they did take that restricted measurement from the wheel can we argue that the max restriction allowed is 94 or 95 bhp at the wheel as that is double the 47 measured at the wheels when restricted. Idk I'm probs looking way to far into this 😂😂

      @@ChromeFusion Not sure on whether the power figure has to be at the crank or the wheel, I would think the wheel. Probably more important if you're looking at an older bike with an older style restrictor kit. Most of the bikes come from factory with an A2 map these days.
      I've never really understood the whole can't restrict over 95hp thing but they're the guidelines we have to follow. I've got a testride booked on a Tiger 800 which is A2 restricted, afaik they use a throttle stop so will be interesting to see where the power is made in comparison to my street.

      @@user-jh7uf2ej2w that's what I mean. How would they know it makes the 47bhp without using a Dyno. I can't find answers anywhere. I was wondering because I was looking at an F4i which isn't A2 legal at the crank but is at the wheels. So not a clue 😂 enjoy the Tiger ive heard they're really good bikes.

      @@ChromeFusion Yeah the only thing I have heard of is mobile police dynos but very very unlikely. Will be making a video of the tiger if allowed to film!
