C8 Corvette ERAY BANNED from racing!

With its HYBRID powertrain and AWD system, the Corvette E-RAY is just as fast in a straight line as the C8 Z06. Unfortunately that same hybrid power train with its lithium batteries got it BANNED from racing at the track. The E-RAY is not the only car that has been banned and here's why...

The main issue with lithium battery in a car fire is that they are very difficult to extinguish and most unburned cells will reignite at a later date.
