- Greg and Finn venture back into the bush for a 48 Hour Survival Challenge with only TWO items, battling wet weather and other adverse conditions.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

Keep your head up friend! I'm sorry you had a rough day. Hopefully it got better. Hopefully tomorow you can find something to smile about!
Sending positive vibes your way!!
Yeah nothing like watching somone go hungry for you to feed better. Ffs
Indeed! I can definatly say the same!
Agreed 👍💯
Fin's such a good boy. He just kind of does his own thing until you call him and he's right there by your side.
🐺
Tell me you have no structure over anything in life without saying it....
@@zulumonk77 That has no co text here. You have no structure over comprehension.

What a big sausage 😂😂
16:25 This is why I love Greg. He leaves the footage of him tripping over a tree. That clip would have never seen the light of day if it were me. But he's such a genuine, honest, entertaining human being that he's like, "I mean, I fell. Happens. What are you gonna do?" You rock, dude.
you mena he trip for purpose dont be stupid he felt byhimself

Greg is such an outdoors man he doesn't keep track of the day or date or time I love the freedom he shows. No constraints . Free.
Starting the day with Greg ovens and coffee, not to shabby
Ditto
Time to learn me sumthin
Same
Ending my day with greg and a beer 👌
The Bob Ross of the outdoors.
It's so relaxing to watch you set up a camp.
I’m a survivalist. But a guy can never get enough good information! Got some good tips! Keep it going
If it hasn't already happened, someone's life is going to be saved because of something they watched Greg demonstrate. The water in the shirt trick is brilliant.
When the world is coming to an end, and thats getting close every day, i want to be close to this man.. he's surviving and crafting skill is what most of us MUST learn!
why would you want to survive? It's gonna be worse than mad max!!

Time to do laundry 😂 classic! You always keep it real and that’s part of what makes you and your channel so enjoyable! Looking forward to the 7 day challenge coming up!!
"I don't keep track of dates that much" Man oh man to have that freedom! May the Universe keep and protect this gem of a man. I'm so glad I found this community.. Greg, Fowler, Chris (Wooded Beardsman).. so many great people doing awesome stuff
they wouldnt even have to pay me to work for them and tag along hahaha, living outdoors like that is a dream i've had since aslong as i can remember
What's not to love about this man Greg is the real deal please like and subscribe to the best outdoors channel on u tube no coffee no tarp wat more do you want greets from Holland
You are one of the best, my man. Your hot rock tricks alone are worth their weight in gold
Now this is material that needs to be taught in schools. Thank you for keeping the spirit of wilderness survival alive.
None if this should be taught in schools. It's roughing it camping. Not survival.
Absolutely man! NZ. ✌❤😁🌲
It’s interesting but definitely not survival lol
For me youre the only real bushcrafter
Finn makes the best co-star ever!!!
My fiancé and I just got back from camping, thanks for all the inspiration Greg!!!
Hi Greg. Fan from germany here.
Just found your channel recently (even before Zack's channel :P).
Watched every video in a short amount of time and can't get enough of your adventures and knowledge.
You are the perfect counterweight to my stressful and very digital worklife.
Keep it up and thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us
@Tenbu 22
Never been in that area. , looks beautiful as a lot of Midwest areas are . I’m use to the mountains and forest and bring in that environment, being from West Virginia.
Happy trials and watch them bears, stay safe .
Schönes comment🤝
the sad part Greg and Zack were at History channel Alone show..Labrador..and Zack was the winner..so doesn't matter trying proof after that losing..$500K
Hey, I'm from Germany too :D Ich bin tatsächlich auch über Zack, über die 30 Tage Challenge auf den Kanadier gestoßen.
Make sure you let the commercials play so Greg can get paid every penny. Das is gut!
I know you OGs are tired of survival videos but we really do appreciate them, ty.
Haven’t watched any of your videos for seven or eight months just due to living life. I’ve got to say, they are so much better now without some silly edit every three minutes. Just the right amount now I think. Great video Greg, glad to see you’re doing well.
It was great to catch with some of Greg's tips. It is always nice to just listen to him talk. An efficiency of words. Stay well. You're a legend.
Some of these techniques are INSANE man. You're so smart and knowledgeable it's crazy to see your new videos, I learn something awesome every few minutes. Thanks for making these!
Most replayed part of the video ...Greg's fall. Glad you left that part in. Makes you awesome in my book !
We love you brother, please don't ever change 👍
I’ve had such a overwhelming horrible day/week, and honestly Greg is like therapy for me. These videos are like me living out my own fantasy of wanting to do all of this stuff. I learn so much and get to experience Greg living his best life. Been watching for years, keep it up my brotha man
You too, huh? Damn it seems like everyone is down in the dumps right now. I know a lot of people who are catching covid for their 1st or 2nd time. I'm just staying home cause I had it last year and don't want to get it again. I hope you find comfort and happiness soon, pal.
@@Mikelitoris666 thanks for that my guy, needed that today tbh
@@Marcus96s keep staying strong man.
Greg’s content is awesome!
Life is much BETTER watching your videos! Thanks for making them!
Hi Greg and Finn. That was an awesome video! Great idea. Hope at 74 yrs old I will never have to use it but like you say, You never know 😊
Love you guys.

No fancy gear. No branding. All skill. Perfect. Loved this. Enjoyed sharing this experience with you. Keep living life!
Love this bed. Clearly, warm, water resistant, heavy enough to make you feel safe. This is one of my top favorites of what you do and advise. This is a great Saturday morning!
Hello Nancy how's it going with you over there?
Yea until a huge bear comes and digs you out lol.
LOVE THIS CHANNEL. GREG OVENS REALLY HITS THE SPOT WHEN I REALLY NEED TO RELAX AND ENJOY SOME QUIET TIME. SINCE I CANT GO CAMPING NOR HUNTING, I SIMPLY GO HERE AND JUST WATCH 3/4 VID'S, AND JUST ENJOY! THANK YOU GREG! YOUR SO COOL.
Very humble man. Pushing the limits to what is skill set with the very limited equipment. Hunt the Good.
I love watching Greg fish 😁
I personally enjoy all of your videos. I prefer the bushcraft(teaching) vids, but I still enjoy all of your videos.
Thank you for all that you do Greg!
I know it takes a tremendous effort to make these videos.
I guess living is In the doing.
& you certainly are!
Thanks again!
@ 9:13 speechless and filled with humble pride. 🙌🏽
Greg showed and teach us another great survival video. Keep it coming Greg and Finn.
Every time Greg makes a new video, my survival rate when lost in the woods goes up by 50%. Awesome tips. Cool adventure 💚
I forget to pick up my feet sometimes! Be careful out there Greg!!! We need you!
Oh damn this is a whole movie! Looking forward to it!
Been a subscriber for a long time and Greg you never disappoint. You're just cooler than the other side of the pillow in my opinion. Stay safe brother from Missouri.
I was one of the first that subbed before his channel really took off, still living in his car n plastering drywall! He has come along way and probably living the dream now
Thanks for inspiring me to get out to the wilderness
I really like the survival videos. I don’t need to see anything crazy like jumping out of a helicopter naked into a rainforest, I just like the practical skills and tips you provide. Although, now that I’ve written it, the helicopter video would be cool, too!
When I was young, my Mom and I wild camped regularly in the mountains in Colorado. This channel has been one of the few to consistently demonstrate legitimate survival situations and techniques. Great fun and really interesting to watch, thank you!
always happy to see survival challenges again
Always fun to go on an adventure with Greg and Finn. Keep on doing that thing you do and we'll keep watching.
Hi Greg! You look so much like Abraham Lincoln to me every time I see u 😃 I love your voice too. Thanks for teaching us today & Finn is really a cool loving Dog
Got my coffee, got my morning bowl ready, and some Ovens. Today is gonna be a good day!
Hell ya man watched you on alone, so glad you’re doing this on RUclips now, dry wall is a HARD way to make a living, you deserve to be doing what you love so I am glad to see it! Keep it up!
My favourite bushcraft/outdoors channel by far. Respect for showing it warts and all, and for sharing your various ideas and adaptations.
Your dog, Fin, loves you. That's great.
Without a doubt, best bush craft video's on RUclips! Thank you, Greg.
Never hit a like button faster! Cheers Greg, thank you for making content to inspire us all ✌🏼 and Finn is the best pup
I love to watch this so much, its always so nice and relaxing to watch him built all kinds of shelters and learn from his adventures. Also Fynn is really cute.
That log for the bow drill was a brilliant idea. I've seen so many people struggle with a bow drill and you decide to work smart, not hard.
Never seen an ole Greg video i didn't like. Gets me away from the craziness in this world. Keep them coming brother.
Growing up in Colorado we were taught survival skills, forestry, and biology, in elementary school and had many field trips into the rocky mountains 🙂👍
Stolen lands stolen legacy
I am happy now I get to watch Greg and Finn. ❤️
Greg is salt of the earth. What a great guy, and love Fin too! Thank you Greg for taking time to make these videos.
I’m always impressed how you can start a fire like that!
Such a lovely, soothing place, the lake looks so calm, wonderful serenity ! Those forest sounds, light breeze, marvelous.
I always fell so calm every time I watch your adventures. You are a blessing You calmness seems to transfer.
Easily our Favourite ALONE guy!! Keep it up please, great work!! Best wishes from Australia
honestly this man is amazing, almost meditative. Thanks Greg!
I feel good when I see Greg Ovens new video notification ❤️😊 Thank you.
Only just found your channel, absolute gold! I am jealous of a man that literally has no clue what the date or time is!

Why not have your own show, Greg? Have you ever been offered? More people need to see you. You are incredible!
I'm on travel this week working and it's been a little stressful, tbh. I grabbed lunch and came back to my hotel room for a bit and watched this challenge. Greg and Finn have a way of relieving all that tension and I think that calming voice of reason in every situation is what I needed to hear today. Loved the ideas of the windbreak, straw blanket, elevated moss bed & heated rocks. I think I could do it if I were in that situation. Thanks Greg and keep 'em coming. Really enjoy your videos man....
Thank you Greg, real life content is always more interesting and informative, good , bad, or indifferent, survival is where you make it, thanks for keeping it real 🙂
Should brand and sell Greg Ovens bow drill kits for us people that never done it but want to learn. I'd buy one just to simply ensure you can fund future videos. Keep it up Greg! Love the videos
Greg has always been my go to
Nothing beats waking up on a Saturday morning and watching a new Greg Oven's video!
Another great learning adventure, you are truly an outdoor survival expert.
Thank you so much for sharing, very entertaining ✌️🤠
I have a bad hangover atm. Greg's videos always help.
I get lost in my mind and so peaceful and stress free every time I watch Greg's latest video, then I end up rewatching older ones that I have watched so many times super stuff 🙌
Love the scenery it's so beautiful wish I was there. Hubby and I kick back in our room and watch your videos for hours and fin is adorable love how he helps you fetch wood 😂. Stay safe out there god bless. ❤
I have just come across this lovely man. I want to adopt him as my dad. The content is amazing. When you fell it made me sad. ❤
I thought the 2 items were a knife and a piece of celery, from the thumbnail 🤣 non the less, great video thanks greg
I've been binge watching Greg all morning and boom another awesome upload 💥 👍
I love this man with every cell of my entire existence. I just lost my dad and he looks EXACTLY like him only pure Canadian and my father was pure Oregon. This is what i want to do when i retire. Just live. Thank you for these so much. They make me feel alot better. Much love greg. 🐟🎣🦌🔫 🪓 🌲
It's just incredible what beauty, what atmosphere you were able to create. This is truly a meditative experience watching you. I myself started making videos about my adventures, so I'm interested in everything. Grretings from Belarus tourist.
Nawww i get the feeling Fin knows when you're hungry, that look he gave you while you were cooking that small fish at 7min. Love you both.
So grass is your friend and keep your shirt clean! Got it! Thanks Greg and Finn!
Dont cry
I always like to watch Greg's videos, especially when I'm thinking of going camping. Your videos are the best Greg, you've taught me so much!
Got your lighter?
Greg love your videos wish you well and thank you for letting us all join your adventures!
I have no idea whenever I'll be able to or need to use this information but my God is it relaxing to put you on and just do work while you go on about fish and wheat grass in the background. God bless you and yours.
I tripped and had my knife come thru the weak sheath I was wearing. Cut me good, but was just a few stitches. Thanks for always emphasizing safety.
Getting ready to watch this right now. Really looking forward to it. But Greg you shouldn't do without your coffee and a few essentials. We love everything you do you don't have to put yourself out that much.
Hello Melony how are you doing over there?
@@jayamburn1959 I'm good. Where do you live?
Love the videos Greg! Keep up the good work, something about these just calms me down and puts me in a good mood. Nothing like laying down before bed and watching some bush craft!
Another classy night in the bush! Thanks Again!
My favorite channels of this kind of content is this and Steve Wallis
Thanks Greg! I always have fun watching your videos! You and Fin are truly delightful!✌
I really enjoy all your old videos & I appreciate your efforts to do these so often for us viewers & bring us along for your journeys! 💛🤘thanks GregO.
Never ever take your eyes off your path when you're stepping over anything, only do so when on 'flat' ground, with no debris in pathway!!! What mistake you did, as you are stepping over deadfall, you called out to your dog, eyes looking back as you called for dog, he was alright, and will make sure he is close to you, at least as far as he can see you at all times!!! Agree? Love your programs, and you may save people who are out in the wilderness.
Lol I love the red circles around the big fish that Greg doesn't see
You are such a good guy, im happy everything is working out for you. love your channel Greg.
Love the video.. I like the fact that you share your knowledge... I'm a survivalist been doing it since the age of eight. Grew up in the Sierra mountains.. now I'm passing it on to my kids and grandkids. It's kind of cool that you're doing the same on your videos..
Start a channel man, I'd love to learn from you as well.
You a distant relative of Daniel Boone?
@@ArmandoSrPonce Daniel Boone is 9th or 10th great grandfather. So yes we are descendants..
@@ArmandoSrPonce I'm really thinking about starting a channel..I do post on sites here in the Black hills SD .
I think the video was very cool too Greg, smart! GOD BLESS 😎🇨🇦🇺🇲
You're fantastic. Very therapeutic in the middle of wilderness. Released me from my stress.
I really enjoyed this video! I like the more primitive stuff, like making a fire using a bow drill! I love the little tips you sprinkle throughout the video!! Keep it up Greg!👍
