Great video. I am 76 years old and permanently disabled so I can't get out in the woods anymore. I appreciate your videos so I can tag along and learn from you!
Also check out joe robinet. He got awwweeesome outdoor videos as well. Nice trips where you can dream away :)
@@FishatDT Yeah until he claimed that Corporals Corner stole valor. So there’s that.
@@The_Hartofect_ might be. But I think Stephen and I are here to watch videos and relax, not to hate. I dont care what other people talk about each other, they are old enough to talk it out themselves. Nowadays everybody is so busy with others sh*t (excuse my language).
@@FishatDT I agree with you, wasn’t being that guy in the comments that feels the need to defend someone who is more than capable of doing that themselves. I don’t support anyone who doesn’t support our troops and a foreigner saying that someone whom didn’t serve their country stole valor. That’s what really upset me. Anyway you do you. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time. God bless you!
I don't want to be rude I support you doing so but what's the point
"Knowledge weighs nothing.'' Thank you sir 🤠👍
Like hell
The weight of Knowledge is in its proper application. With great power comes great responsibility.
Yet it outweighs everything.
knowlege to bring an axe instead of a saw weighs something . what a weird phrase
Andrew, I want you to know you literally changed my life. Your skills and knowledge, understanding of survival laws, positive attitude and amazing experience - I feel like a sponge, absorbing all of that. It made me feel like a part of the nature everytime I go outdoors to practice and have fun. Thank you Ranger!
thanks you
Does anyone know where you can get the leather pouch he has in this video?
Your vids just prove the old adage,
YOU'RE NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN.
Thanks for posting these valuable skills👍
Becoming a top survivalist/prep channel.👍👍
You are the first real non-unachievable person, who puts out stuff that makes sense. It’s not that hard to do. I need to go camping. Thank you very much. Thank you for your time.
Andrew, you and Shawn from Corporals are the two guys I've learned the most from. Always outstanding information on your site. Thanks.
The pump drill has got to be the most exotic of primative methods to start a fire. You could do a whole video just on that.

Sir, excellent content as always. You’re content isn’t as frequent as some other RUclipsrs, but that’s fine. It’s about quality, and you deliver that.
100%
Agreed ❤
Agreed, quality over quantity
I would say having a weekly video, and a full time job, is admirable frequency.
Andrew, as a disabled vet, I appreciate your very instructional straightforward videos. I have learned much and will enjoy as long as you are posting.
Thanks!
Finally!!!! Some lessor covered content! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! THANK YOU FOR COVERING MORE THAN BASIC SKILLS! ID LOVE MORE INTERMEDIATE AND EXPERT TIPS AS WELL! KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK!
An excellent class Andrew! Your vids are always informative and enjoyable. I learn something new with each one. I appreciate the time you take to put it all together. Thank you sir. Bravo.
This nails it exactly. Survival is a mindset. Seeing what resources are available to you and how to use the resources. I remember watching the videos of the guy who lived in Alaska by himself (Dick Preneke, Alone in the Wilderness). Watching him build his cabin was mind blowing.
Your videos have helped improve my batoning skills immensely. My back yard is public land in arizona and i have had many hours practicing this stuff. My 4 year old daughter loves it too.
Andrew, you are helping to change the world for the better. Bless you, sir.
What a great lesson in bush craft skills, enjoyed every minute of it. You remind me of someone else I used to know, Ray Meares not to name drop who I so dearly loved to watch on TV
as a youth with my Step Father. I have applied many of these skills since then while out in the bush.
As always full of tips and skills. Thank You. Bringing a lot of stuff I've forgotten over the years.
One of the best survival videos I’ve seen
Excellent Andrew! Clear and easy to understand, very practical, Thank you.
Thank all you guys for your service , and thank you for keeping on sharing .
I am 76YO and not disabled, but still more of a watcher than a do-er. Thanks, brings back great memories!
The Council Tool Camp Carver is my favorite axe. Nice to see you putting one to good use! And great tips in this one, really good stuff.
Great training vid Andrew, thanks for sharing - very cool to hear you are teaching and training classes. If you are ever giving a class in California, I’d love to attend 👍🏼
This video was a CUT ABOVE the rest! Good Luck Andrew. Hope you have good success in your Hunting Trip! I really appreciate these advanced TIPS!
Thank you sir for sharing your time and knowledge.
As other commenters have said, survival is dependent on the calm belief that any challenge can be overcome.
As a mechanic for 40 years I look at something not working as it's already broke, so the worst I can do is fix it and if I'm not careful might learn something along the way.
Top youtube channel for bushcraft and survival skills ! 🌲
Best wishes from Germany.
What I like most about your videos is your legitimate knowledge of what you're teaching/showing. I am not at your skill level but feel based on the knowledge that I do have and my ability to utilize what I do know that your videos add another layer to my skill set. I also really appreciate when you clearly explain that these are more advanced skills, but then just show how to do them. I learn by watching, not so much listening or reading. In example, the rope spinning segment didn't make sense to me UNTIL you showed how to build it and furthermore demonstrated it. Keep producing informational videos, they lend themselves greatly to a world that seems to be getting exponentially less capable. Be well, and Happy New Year!
Thank you for taking the time to put videos together. I learn so much from them and practice what I learn. In turn I am able to share things with my family as we prepare for outdoor trips.
Hey Andrew,
Went AWOL for a few months. Missed your videos, I'll be here to like and enjoy! Good to watch again!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m sure with the busy schedule you have it isn’t easy to get out and dedicate time but we all appreciate your efforts. Thank you for a great video, looking forward to the next as always.
any time i watch you vids i am truly inspired to get out and do it myself. thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Great value, you speak very clear and respectable like a real professional servicemen. Great job! Great video!
Good video!👍I'm curious as to what kind of small pukko knife that is that you are using, and who makes it?
Unique skill presentation on its own way. Thank you very much, Sir!
Wow I'm astounded at your teaching I subscribed and will continue to watch all your videos , in the hiking club in Junior high we learned a lot about desert survival and we hiked all over the place in Arizona our last hike was the Grand canyon however we had modern camp gear freeze dried food and little gas stoves my pack was 53lbs going in, that was 44 years ago but these skills you teach are like early American settlers and Indians used very very impressive. Thank you so much for making these videos.
Even if I know a lot of bushcraft-methods, you gave me some new tips and of course inspirations. And it's enjoyable to see a pro like you.
I wasn’t aware of any of this information. Thank you Andrew for increasing my knowledge.
Learning something new every day
Andrew, my name is Brad I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now. I’ve learned so much from you. It’s help me save a life including my own i want to tell you thank you for all you do and helping people like me to survive in the wilderness when without you we wouldnt have a clue . Lol thank you my friend ..
A couple of tricks I have not seen. Great video keep them coming👍
Impressive. Andrew, this video has to be one of your top 10 presentations. Interesting and different "twist" on the pump drill, we will surely test it out. Thank you for sharing your time and skills.
Another great instructional video. Thank you, Major Andrew!
Shit. Didn't know he was a major🤷🏼♂️ usually it's grunts who do the hard work👍 then again, I've never been in the military. But I work like a grunt anyway💪🏴
These are cool and interesting skills to develop. Bring on the zombie apocalypse!
Absolutely love this video! Excellent work, brother! 😊 Thank you for putting this together! I look forward to more from you 👍
Excellent video You're always doing the most with just the basic tools keep up the great work
Мужик дай прикурить. Сейчас зажигалку сделаю. Уважаю таких людей👍
Major Andrew thank you for showing and teaching us once again very good bushcraft skills to know 👍🇺🇸
Thank You for teaching us how to make these Bushcraft Survival tools!
Here’s a hint: practice your long distance throwing technique by tossing away that bow saw. Replace it with a folding pruning saw. Less weight, fewer parts, no assembly-disassembly required, in action in 2 seconds, packed away as quickly, is an excellent self defense weapon, useful with a ferro rod.

@@sagetoons198 G’day Sage. Silky saws are good. I use Corona with a 10” blade. In camp, we’re not cutting timber. We cut thumb size to, say, wrist to knee size. This is where a pruning saw lives.
My best to you.

Andrew, you are a madman! Keep the good info coming, much appreciated by the community!
It's nice to see someone that's not in a pine forest Making everything look so easy and perfectly straight. It takes so much more time working with hard woods Which are never straight and a lot of knots.
As usual Andrew, Outstanding! Keep the vids coming. As an avid outdoorsman/self reliant "student", it's great to be able to check out your channel. Reminds of Sergeants Time every Thursday 😂. Very well put together with a detailed block of instructions. Your vids are also a personal tool in case I miss something while teaching my children about the outdoors. These skill sets are vital because technology can't and won't always save your life. Can't wait for the next one!
you always in the top of the bushcraft videos, creating all good content.. thanks for you time and experience!! 👍🤘
Thank you, your videos bring back memories, most good and some not so good but we learn from our mistakes. I am old now and unable to
enjoy the great outdoors as I once did, but nostalgia works it's magic thanks to your video's.
This was the best bushcraft video I've ever seen!
thank you !
Great skills.Thank You for sharing.
Thank you for bringing access to these valuable skills'...
As an old fashioned senior NCO I expect and plan to see you at the next pathfinder gathering in 2023! Like and love the videos and don’t forget about the ranger creed let alone the NCO creed!
Competence is my watchword my two basic responsibilities will always be utmost in my mind accomplish of my mission and the welfare of my soldiers!I will be fair and impartial when recommending both rewards and punishment!👍👌
That was outstanding! Thanks for putting in the time!
That "Cbar-Cattail" was so beautiful. It was like a dream.
Excellent demonstrations . Have a great evening
Great information. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Love the video awesome and very educational as always my favorite in the video was the rope making and the saw👍🏼👍🏼
Yes thank you the extras the handle is they one I've been needing badly.
Damn, your channel has really grown! 1.8M views and 160K subscribers?? I remember when you first started and only had a few hundred subscribers. Well done. Your succinct, no-nonsense, informative approach is very popular. So many people waffle on, spouting irrelevancies, repetition, or bs. You get straight to it [applause].
Thanx Andrew,Your lesson's never disappoint,Cheers!!
Great ideas! Consider, Part Two another 10 survival skills.
Brilliant 👏 you can tell that rangers lead the way 💪👏👌
Another great video. Quick question what knife do you use?
Was wondering the same thing
YOU'RE on a whole nother level, man! Good job!!
Sir your videos are a high level instruction! Glad to hear you are deer hunting. Sure lowered my anxiety level. 3 weeks rotator cuff post op. Feeling a little vulnerable if you know what I mean. Thanks for great info!
Curious as to how you are doing now, I had mine done a couple of weeks ago. I know it's a long recovery, but are you back in the woods yet?
Interesting take on the pump drill! Thanks for sharing
Excellent. Good hunting!
Hello, senior female from Australia here. I pray I won't Need these skills you've demonstrated so well, but I'm going to watch again, just to learn. Thankyou 👍. 🇭🇲🐞
Very well put together videoh easy excellent instructions well done good job
my heart is racing over this ideas
Outstanding video Andrew, as always.
we can't get enought of this top notch quality content! We appreciate the efforts you put into each of these productions, keep doing cool stuff
Another home run Major! Your skills videos are always the best!
Amazing video! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge
Those wooden wedges you made from the excess material for your mallet excellent use of material just plain excellent!!!!
It’s about time a survival channel shows the pump drill. I never understood why the bow drill gets so much attention when it takes so much energy to operate. Energy is very important to conserve in a emergency situation.
Great video, thanks 👍
This is the fourth time I've watched it. Thank you very much, sir.
that PUMP Drill ‼️I've never seen anything like this before!... I love to learn how to do that!
Please! PLEASE 🙏🏻 MAKE MORE ADVANCED BUSHCRAFT VIDEOS. SOMETHING I HAVEN'T SEEN A MILLION DIFFERENT TIMES!
Excellent video . Muchly appreciated. Thankyou for your time to make this video. Greeting from Aus
Outstanding instruction!
More please!
Excellent material and presentation!
Really good tips after short time
Best Bushcraft i have ever seen very knowledgeable.👍
Wow. That video was packed with great tips and crafts. Well prepared and executed presentation that was easy to understand and follow. Fantastic, thank you.
Excellent video. Recommend for survivalists at all levels. Especially liked the M-1943 canteen cup that had a hole in its handle that could extend the handle by inserting bayonet into the top hole. Very old school.
Awesome as always! Thank you for another great video!
Awesome! Skills, techniques, and implementation.
on the mallet cut, you could have cut the shallow cut to begin the handle before cutting the block loose from the tree... saves fingers...
Thank you for sharing.. hope your hunt was a success
This one is actually one of my favorite ones that you have done so far!! Awesome video brother!!
This guy is obviously the real deal. Subscribed.
Very good, man!!! Thank you!!!
