I don’t support anyone who doesn’t support our troops and a foreigner saying that someone whom didn’t serve their country stole valor. That’s what really upset me. Anyway you do you. Your skills and knowledge, understanding of survival laws, positive attitude and amazing experience - I feel like a sponge, absorbing all of that.     The pump drill has got to be the most exotic of primative methods to start a fire. You could do a whole video just on that.

    If you put down a piece of tarp, when you do your carving, you can collect those chips, which will come in handy when you need to build a fire

    This nails it exactly. Survival is a mindset. Seeing what resources are available to you and how to use the resources. I remember watching the videos of the guy who lived in Alaska by himself (Dick Preneke, Alone in the Wilderness). Watching him build his cabin was mind blowing.

    Your videos have helped improve my batoning skills immensely. My back yard is public land in arizona and i have had many hours practicing this stuff. My 4 year old daughter loves it too.

    What a great lesson in bush craft skills, enjoyed every minute of it. You remind me of someone else I used to know, Ray Meares not to name drop who I so dearly loved to watch on TV
    as a youth with my Step Father. I have applied many of these skills since then while out in the bush.

    As usual Andrew, Outstanding! Keep the vids coming. As an avid outdoorsman/self reliant "student", it's great to be able to check out your channel. Reminds of Sergeants Time every Thursday 😂. Very well put together with a detailed block of instructions. Your vids are also a personal tool in case I miss something while teaching my children about the outdoors. These skill sets are vital because technology can't and won't always save your life. Can't wait for the next one!

    You are clearly very skilled at these tasks, and you make everything look routine or easy (using the axe, for example). Most viewers will need a year of practice to turn out the tools you create

    Man that knife you've got goin is wicked sharp..what an edge...Hatchet too...I was looking for a brand but on my phone I can't see it...I've paused and looked 10x already...I've been contemplating a new knife.. I carry an old (40 yrs) case xx 4 dot 8" fixed ... it's getting to be more like a fillet knife...Does anyone know what brand knife that is?

    What I like most about your videos is your legitimate knowledge of what you're teaching/showing. I am not at your skill level but feel based on the knowledge that I do have and my ability to utilize what I do know that your videos add another layer to my skill set. I also really appreciate when you clearly explain that these are more advanced skills, but then just show how to do them. I learn by watching, not so much listening or reading. In example, the rope spinning segment didn't make sense to me UNTIL you showed how to build it and furthermore demonstrated it. Keep producing informational videos, they lend themselves greatly to a world that seems to be getting exponentially less capable. Be well, and Happy New Year!

    Excellent video. Recommend for survivalists at all levels. Especially liked the M-1943 canteen cup that had a hole in its handle that could extend the handle by inserting bayonet into the top hole. Very old school.
