Great video. I am 76 years old and permanently disabled so I can't get out in the woods anymore. I appreciate your videos so I can tag along and learn from you!
@@The_Hartofect_ might be. But I think Stephen and I are here to watch videos and relax, not to hate. I dont care what other people talk about each other, they are old enough to talk it out themselves. Nowadays everybody is so busy with others sh*t (excuse my language).
@@FishatDT I agree with you, wasn’t being that guy in the comments that feels the need to defend someone who is more than capable of doing that themselves. I don’t support anyone who doesn’t support our troops and a foreigner saying that someone whom didn’t serve their country stole valor. That’s what really upset me. Anyway you do you. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time. God bless you!
Andrew, I want you to know you literally changed my life. Your skills and knowledge, understanding of survival laws, positive attitude and amazing experience - I feel like a sponge, absorbing all of that. It made me feel like a part of the nature everytime I go outdoors to practice and have fun. Thank you Ranger!
Finally!!!! Some lessor covered content! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! THANK YOU FOR COVERING MORE THAN BASIC SKILLS! ID LOVE MORE INTERMEDIATE AND EXPERT TIPS AS WELL! KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING WORK!
An excellent class Andrew! Your vids are always informative and enjoyable. I learn something new with each one. I appreciate the time you take to put it all together. Thank you sir. Bravo.
Andrew, as a disabled vet, I appreciate your very instructional straightforward videos. I have learned much and will enjoy as long as you are posting. Thanks!
This nails it exactly. Survival is a mindset. Seeing what resources are available to you and how to use the resources. I remember watching the videos of the guy who lived in Alaska by himself (Dick Preneke, Alone in the Wilderness). Watching him build his cabin was mind blowing.
Your videos have helped improve my batoning skills immensely. My back yard is public land in arizona and i have had many hours practicing this stuff. My 4 year old daughter loves it too.
Andrew, my name is Brad I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now. I’ve learned so much from you. It’s help me save a life including my own i want to tell you thank you for all you do and helping people like me to survive in the wilderness when without you we wouldnt have a clue . Lol thank you my friend ..
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I’m sure with the busy schedule you have it isn’t easy to get out and dedicate time but we all appreciate your efforts. Thank you for a great video, looking forward to the next as always.
Shit. Didn't know he was a major🤷🏼♂️ usually it's grunts who do the hard work👍 then again, I've never been in the military. But I work like a grunt anyway💪🏴
What a great lesson in bush craft skills, enjoyed every minute of it. You remind me of someone else I used to know, Ray Meares not to name drop who I so dearly loved to watch on TV as a youth with my Step Father. I have applied many of these skills since then while out in the bush.
Hello, senior female from Australia here. I pray I won't Need these skills you've demonstrated so well, but I'm going to watch again, just to learn. Thankyou 👍. 🇭🇲🐞
As usual Andrew, Outstanding! Keep the vids coming. As an avid outdoorsman/self reliant "student", it's great to be able to check out your channel. Reminds of Sergeants Time every Thursday 😂. Very well put together with a detailed block of instructions. Your vids are also a personal tool in case I miss something while teaching my children about the outdoors. These skill sets are vital because technology can't and won't always save your life. Can't wait for the next one!
As an old fashioned senior NCO I expect and plan to see you at the next pathfinder gathering in 2023! Like and love the videos and don’t forget about the ranger creed let alone the NCO creed! Competence is my watchword my two basic responsibilities will always be utmost in my mind accomplish of my mission and the welfare of my soldiers!I will be fair and impartial when recommending both rewards and punishment!👍👌
You are clearly very skilled at these tasks, and you make everything look routine or easy (using the axe, for example). Most viewers will need a year of practice to turn out the tools you create
Man that knife you've got goin is wicked sharp..what an edge...Hatchet too...I was looking for a brand but on my phone I can't see it...I've paused and looked 10x already...I've been contemplating a new knife.. I carry an old (40 yrs) case xx 4 dot 8" fixed ... it's getting to be more like a fillet knife...Does anyone know what brand knife that is?
What I like most about your videos is your legitimate knowledge of what you're teaching/showing. I am not at your skill level but feel based on the knowledge that I do have and my ability to utilize what I do know that your videos add another layer to my skill set. I also really appreciate when you clearly explain that these are more advanced skills, but then just show how to do them. I learn by watching, not so much listening or reading. In example, the rope spinning segment didn't make sense to me UNTIL you showed how to build it and furthermore demonstrated it. Keep producing informational videos, they lend themselves greatly to a world that seems to be getting exponentially less capable. Be well, and Happy New Year!
Damn, your channel has really grown! 1.8M views and 160K subscribers?? I remember when you first started and only had a few hundred subscribers. Well done. Your succinct, no-nonsense, informative approach is very popular. So many people waffle on, spouting irrelevancies, repetition, or bs. You get straight to it [applause].
Thank you for taking the time to put videos together. I learn so much from them and practice what I learn. In turn I am able to share things with my family as we prepare for outdoor trips.
Excellent video. Recommend for survivalists at all levels. Especially liked the M-1943 canteen cup that had a hole in its handle that could extend the handle by inserting bayonet into the top hole. Very old school.
Thank you, your videos bring back memories, most good and some not so good but we learn from our mistakes. I am old now and unable to enjoy the great outdoors as I once did, but nostalgia works it's magic thanks to your video's.

@@FishatDT Yeah until he claimed that Corporals Corner stole valor. So there’s that.

"Knowledge weighs nothing.'' Thank you sir 🤠👍
Like hell
The weight of Knowledge is in its proper application. With great power comes great responsibility.
Yet it outweighs everything.
knowlege to bring an axe instead of a saw weighs something . what a weird phrase
having lugged around books for many years, I can tell you the weight of knowledge depends heavily on the format in which it is stored.

Does anyone know where you can get the leather pouch he has in this video?
Your vids just prove the old adage,
YOU'RE NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN.
Thanks for posting these valuable skills👍
Becoming a top survivalist/prep channel.👍👍
Andrew, you and Shawn from Corporals are the two guys I've learned the most from. Always outstanding information on your site. Thanks.
"Mommy, what is that man doing to himself over in the bushes? " "Um, he's just making cordage dear."
The pump drill has got to be the most exotic of primative methods to start a fire. You could do a whole video just on that.

Sir, excellent content as always. You’re content isn’t as frequent as some other RUclipsrs, but that’s fine. It’s about quality, and you deliver that.

Agreed ❤
Agreed, quality over quantity
I would say having a weekly video, and a full time job, is admirable frequency.

If you put down a piece of tarp, when you do your carving, you can collect those chips, which will come in handy when you need to build a fire
