For example on Saturday I played for a few hours and managed to get to the point where I was barely missing 20s at all. I played the next day and forgot how I was throwing, meaning I was back to hitting terrible throws like 26,11,7 etc
What helps me every now and again is breathing in through your nose out through your mouth. Do that a few times and it settles you down ever so slightly. Just enough to take the edge off.
Even in practice I sometimes think I can almost hit everything, minutes later I hardly hit the board. Are there techniques to get back on track better?
Relax your muscles. It’s hard to shake if you are relaxed, keep the grip loose, knees straight but not locked. Many nervous pros are now “throwing” phantom darts before throwing for real.

Every time I intend to play sober I feel too nervous amlnd can't relax in the warm up so resort to knocking the ale back
