This is the best video I’ve watched on darts. I got back into darts after a 10 year break and I’ve not been able to recapture my old mediocre form. Low darts is a major problem for me. I watched this video then did 30 minutes of practice then played a few games on the Scolia. Was previously averaging under 40 and struggling to improve. Just played a game on my Scolia and threw an 18 darter (average 83.5). Also threw 4 x 140s tonight.
Finally my checkouts % has jumped from 8% yesterday to 15% today.
    Thanks for posting this 👍🏻👍🏻🎯

Excellent video Wayne! I went straight to my board after watching it and realized on the first throw that I was releasing late and pushing the dart. The earlier release makes the follow through natural and I've noticed a big improvement in very little time. Thanks for the Masterclass!!

I had an issue with a slightly late release, by a literal micro second. Then I started trying to throw harder and that made the release even later. Working on timing is difficult and your game will drop because of it but it's all worth it when it clicks and you get it right

For me its normally the angle of the dart upon release that makes the most difference. Where is the dart pointed? UP then the dart should be going in the general direction its pointed. If you get to your release point and the point is angled ever so slightly down throwing at T20 then the dart will 100% drag down unless you overpower it to force it up the board. For people throwing low ALOT watch where the point is aiming upon release. Have a buddy record you. It will make a difference.

I grip the dart very oddly. Would be interested to hear any tips on that.

One thing that I hear sometimes in relation to the grip is to try and hold the dart like a pen. It might not be the grip that will stick, but you may work on and find something more "easy" from that.

Wayne bud, when I release early it effects the accuracy. Like I don't know where they land. If I release late my shoulder + elbow moves. Is this just practise? Getting used to the feeling of a early release?

Wayne , does the same apply for the lower doubles ? , is this why most players choose there out double as one from the top or the side and not the bottom of the board . ? Love ❤️ your stuff and I’ve followed your darts for years as your such an entertainer 👍

You should have the same release no matter the target. You should aim to throw the same every time you throw a dart. Your arm will move higher or lower depending on where you are aiming, but dont even think about that

Wayne has a great video on his personal channel regarding switching and body/arm movement. Helped me out massively.
