Great advice 👍 i hold it the same everytime but depending on the day i might grip more to the back of the dart, and other days it could be towards the front and could be angled up slightly or could be flatter. I find this out when having practice throws to see which grip I'm comfortable with. 👍
Great vid as always, spot on, it's right for the person and no one else. I've had the same sort of grip for over 25 years, yes it's altered a bit but more or less the same and it's what works for me.
Hi Wayne. I grip thhe dart the same way everytime. I just find it hard to find the same spot on the barrell every time. I use a straight barrel. Should I try a different shape barrel? Or any tips to find the sweet spot more consistently?
awesome, it helps me a lot as a compleete rookie :D so is it just flicking the wrist or is it more extending the elbow with a stable wrist? seems like ill never get it right ! -.-
And something else you can add how important comfort is in the grip when Phil Taylor or any of the pros picked up a dart they gripped the dart what feeled comfortable to them. They didn't copy anybody else.
To comfort I would add consistency. Always grip it the same, don’t play the barrel like a flute and light grip “pressure” only on index finger and thumb.
when i hold the dart towards the bottom, the darts fall out of the dartboard, but when i hold it at the centre, it dosent feel comfotable in my hand, but at least the dart dosent fall out of the dartboard.
Hi Wayne you probably won't see this but I would love to send you a video of my throw and have you tell me everything I'm doing wrong. Is this at all possible please 🙏
The most natural way for me is like picking up a pencil or pen and holding it, so when I hold my darts it’s the same just feel natural if that makes sense
I was struggling with my grip, and then this video appeared a few hours after my session. What a godsend.
Legend! Cheers for sharing your knowledge and genuine character on this platform!
Cheers Wayne! Good to have uploads again!
More to come!

Great to see you back doing these vids, keep up the good work

I tried imitating Barney’s throw for two weeks I was shocking!! 🤣 he just makes it looks so easy!
Great stuff Wayne. I have a really comfortable grip, but unfortunately a really crap throw!

Should you pack in for a bit if you have a Rotate Cuff problem or go down a weight please
Hey Wayne, which player just holds the point and is good? Any example? Would really appreciate it! Cheers mate
Peter manley was the closest
Maybe check out Keane Barry?

Thank you Mr Mardle. Whats your suggest, how many hours do I have to practice to play round about 70 avg?
Great vid and advice - PS. Love your pixels gen 1 darts 😮💨🎯

Can you do a video on dartitis, im in the middle of getting over it hopefully, is there any practice methods to use which would help.
This!!

do i need to move my fingers when throwing a pin?
It's funny as I replicated Eric Bristows grip and I cannot hold them any other way now!

Mr Mardle, can you teach how to aim?

im a flicker aswell, wish i wasn’t but i can’t throw any other way
That's how I hold mine I thought I was the only 1 😅
do you grip the dart tight?
You never want to grip tight because you’ll fatigue your arm over time.
💯
Here’s the answer. You lot never will.
I've 2 fingers on the point. Comfortable but feel it's giving me consistency problems?
