    Late to the party but the colors and vistas on this one guys were almost other worldly. Fitting that you should sleep out as opposed to under the canvass. It brings you closer to the vibrancy of it all. Wow, it just didn't stop giving - what a fantastic stroll over the mountains on a perfect couple of days out. Loving that deer - got the right idea for sure. Good going both. All the best. Mark

    A scorcher at 20c? I keep my down on until about 22 degrees, but then I live in the South East of the USA where most of the summer it is between 32 and40 degrees C. in the summer from June until mid September. We do have seriously cold weather for a few days each year. Sometimes it even hits minus ten, snows and which stays on the ground for a few hours. ;)

      Great set of hills aren’t they! Incredible in full winter, we did the two eastern ones in deep snow, just cracking! It wasn’t bad for water sources overall when we were out luckily. Took the Voyager Superlite as it’s tough weather wise and really light, 1.7 kg total. It’s so small though. Planning on replacing it with something else at some point I think. Hope you’re well mate and enjoying the hills!

    Where are the trees?

    • @OutdoorIntrigue
      @OutdoorIntrigue  2 года назад +2

      It’s a good question and one more people should ask. Sadly the answer is they were pretty much all destroyed over the last 6000 years, by human need for resources, farming, over grazing, hunting estates, climate change and poor land management.Scotland still has lots of trees but nowhere near as many as it should. Thankfully there is lots of positive work happening in this area and there is so much incredible space and potential in the highlands. 😊
