Thank you very much John! For your efforts, for your movies! For this unique atmosphere of your world... 🤝🤝🤝 Good to see that you are back to your old "combat friend"- green bag 😉 ...and Happy New Year to you, awesome beginning!!!
Hi Jim Awesome video fantastic views especially of Sgurr and ciche with Eigg poking over its shoulder brilliant photography. I did same some years back and used the brilliant bothy kinbreck. Had a nightmare getting to it over the col it was very boggy at the time and a steep pull up and over to bothy what a wonderful glen glen kingie is and Sgurr Mor a favourite thanks for sharing mate
Thanks Andrew. Yes, I can see that the walk over from Strathan would be very very boggy usually. Fortunately for me the ground was frozen and rock hard so no bogginess for me. Was also a shame to see so many ATV tracks all over the place on the saddle. It's been churned up really badly.
thank you for visiting this part of Scotland, an area I will never visit, but now with this beautiful film I can see and experience what it is like there
Well Jim that surely took my breathe away, reliving steps taken many years ago. What a beautiful landscape, up and along one of the great mountain ridges of Scotland, all beautifully filmed ... iongantach!.
Thanks Jonny. It's a fantastic ridge. My original plan was to keep on going along the ridge to Sgurr nan Coireachan but the snow made it slow going. That combined with the short daylight hours and I soon realised I was being overly ambitious! Always there for another day. Maybe a summer outing.
Another breathtakingly beautiful video, Jim. Nice to see your skills in capturing wildlife combining with the landscape /hiking in this film. Just stunning.
Wow... This is such a beautiful video , those sort of days have been amazing up the hills this year, ice everywhere and a little snow . The air clarity is just amazing ..
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking a pleasure to watch , only been up corbetts so far this winter .. Done a few winter munros last winter and your vid is so much like them, even the stags. Got really close to some , almost to close .😅
Dear Jim, Watched your simply beautiful film, sent a little donation. All that ice gave me a warm feeling - those columnar crystals at 8.43, the fringed tongues of ice at 1.34, the falsely warm-looking sunset ice at 11.29, the congealing air round those stags. Maybe you can put some ice into something warming. RB.
Wow.Thanks so much for the donation Roy. That’s really kind of you. Thank you! 🙏 Glad you’re enjoying my films and I really appreciate your detailed comments.
Hi Jim, just found your channel and subbed👍 what beautifully filmed video, music fitted the landscaped to a T and wow what conditions. I’ve yet to do Sgurr Mor and that film has certainly wetted my appetite. We are going to do it this year by boat across loch Quoich. I’ll be working my way thru the rest of your videos Jim, but thanks very much for sharing this. ATB Frank
Thanks Frank and thanks for subbing! That would be great to approach Sgurr Mor from the north. I could see a pretty good track coming from the north between Sgurr an Fhuarain and Gairich. Although I guess you could also get a boat to Core Reidh near the west end of Loch Quoich. Looks like a stalkers' path marked on the OS map there.
The NHS should prescribe your videos for punters with depression. Absolute dillion of a wee video. Knoydart aswell, that wee Bothy would’ve been Baltic as the fire didn’t look up to much. You have to be experienced in the countryside for there…. Says the guy that’s only walked up Tinto Hill! Great achievement all the same. Well done on the videography and the climbs👍
Thank you. Yes, that bothy was freezing. I couldn't carry any more logs in my rucksack. Only had eleven logs for two nights. I was almost sitting in the fire to keep warm. Ended up sleeping in my down jacket inside a down sleeping bag.
A hike to one of the most iconic and most remote mountains in Scotland ruclips.net/video/xY90LwqBRio/видео.htmlsi=YxyUMsrGeZCIZneO
A fantastic video!
I love the mountains in winter.
All the best from Edinburgh.
Thanks! Me too. I love it when the mountains are in full winter conditions.
Thank you very much John!

Thanks. Had to be the bigger green bag for this trip. Needed the space for my down jacket and lots of snacks!
The stuff most people can only dream about. Simply amazing!

A gentle and Beautiful film...with a smile to finish
Thanks Steve. I can tell you watched until the end ;-)
Beautiful 👏🏻
Very atmospheric, really like the music. What a beautiful video 👍
Thanks David. Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic quality footage, perfect exposure and expert framing. Happy you got that drone up too Jim.
Thank you. I could only fly the drone from the ridge between the two peaks. Unfortunately it was too windy on the summits.
Wonderful. Thank you Jim!
Stunningly beautiful footage 👌
Thanks very much for that Jim 👍
Pleasure as always!
Stunning film, Sgurr Mor was one of my last few Munros. Great to see it in perfect winter conditions. Love ❤️ your videos. All the best, Linda
Thanks Linda. A good munro to save until towards the end of your munro journey. Love that area.
Another quite stunning video - beautifully done.
Thank you Jim :-)

10 secs into your vid and it looks amazing already ..need to stop watching it on the phone and get it on something bigger ... The tv 👍
Thanks. It does look better on a bigger screen. Thanks for watching!

There were a lot of stags being fed by Loch Arkaig right by the road, Had to give them a bit of a wide berth.
Brilliant as always, you have nailed the atmosphere there. Looking forward to hiking Sgurr Mor even more so this year.
Thanks Russell. Definitely an atmospheric place in those conditions.
Really enjoyed this, great storytelling without words. Kinbreack and Sgurr Mor near the top of my list for a tour this year.
Thank you. It's a remote area but well worth the effort to get there.
Amazing
Thanks 😊

That was amazing! Sgurr na ciche looking very fine there at the end. Gordon

Thank you! Good to have you on board.
Its an area I've yet to venture into..
Is the first summit the Corbett ?
Thanks for watching. Yes, the first summit is a corbett - Sgurr an Fhuarain 901m. A fine mountain.
