Get the young fella into it. Let him make a few mistakes and help him to figure out how to solve it. He will learn more from a mistake than watching the best at work. Much respect
I wish I had that much help and space when I did mine. Pulled the body of my 79 K5 in my 2 car garage by my self using stacks of cinderblock, 4x4 post and a floor jack.
It's good seeing other people doing this. It's a family tradition in our family. Oh that was my dad it was his two oldest Brothers I helped him because they were thirty years older than he was. My dad and I built a 68 Chevy. Each of my boys had their projects.
Occasionally I find somebody of the younger generation that is actually doing something like this. When I do run across somebody like that I encourage him or sometime her as much as I can. We all should
Hey Newborn I live in Ga and do roofs for a living and mostly do metal roofs you’re house is a perfect candidate for a new metal roof I’d be honored to be able to provide that service for you sir
Getting the younger guys into building will always be a good thing. Doing the same thing with my boys. Currently building a 79 gmc two wheel drive with my oldest son and just picked up a 73 nova for his brother.
My first blazer was an 84 350 3 speed. Then I had an 89 and my current one is a 71. I can tell you that complete toplessness is more fun than partial toplessness.
Bad ass . I just picked up a 69 c20 that is about 97% rust free and a k20 complete 4x4 frame to swap . Putting an LS I have in it for my 15 year old daughter to drive next year . Might keep the sm465 … might do a 4L80 , depends on budget . Hope to get a video up soon . Nice job guys !
Really best need to let the youngster do a lot of the nasty parts, and include him as much as possible. Otherwise he won't appreciate what he has, it'll be taken for granted, and he'll be like so many others that just beat it into the ground whether on his own, or by peer pressure Just a note from a father of three boys, who raised my to work for whatever they wanted even while in school and playing multiple sports at the same time. While their friends were given what they wanted, and the majority of those kids didn't make it six months, and most not even a year. Just a friendly comment from someone that cares about the future of our kids everywhere.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
This not vehicle for young person a big mistake they flip easy they tear up and land you drive it across fuel mileage sucks you will break shit the adult in room needs rethink his choices lol I told you so
You say no new car for this kid....do you know how much and how hard it is to find a decent K5 Blazer today? I would rather give a kid a new car and keep the K5! Those are my favorites. My last one discovered frame failure from my son's and I having fun.

Much more down to earth and relatable than motortrend crooks.
That’s pretty cool, I wish I lived closer. Think your work is incredible.
This is too much for a 16 year old...hope he realizes what a blessing this is
Keep it coming Dave. This is better then watching nearly a hour long video of someone opening mail.
Rare to have the younger generation wanting to do this! Great job keep it up hopefully it spreads

Great job making the young man first hand on his truck. Parenting at its finest men!!!!
You learn more by a mistake ! You never forget those ! 😂👍🏻
That body looks solid for a 84, your making me jealous. I do live in the rust belt though.
Love videos like this. Going to be sweet when she’s all complete
Coming over after watching your burnouts with your 57 and Mike and his C10

I just did an 89 Dodge pick up with my son. It's some great memories made! And he got a sweet truck!
Nice RSX in the background during the body pull. I dont see many of those anymore.
The boy needs to be wrenching on that Blazer. Only way he’ll respect it
Always appreciate your videos to see what you and your hoodlum friends are doing.
Thanks
8:56 well, very short David but still good, I can't wait to see more on this build. ✌️👍🇬🇧
I have a 78 that I’ve had for 24 years, putting a 5.3/4L65 in it with a 203 with a double range box. Should be a ripper 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👌🏻
Nice one Dave
Looks awesome! I wish things were that solid around here!
Great content thanks for sharing
Love this content, looking forward to more!
Get the youngsters hooked on the old car juice and they’ll be able to take over when we old guys are gone
12voltdave at the beginning should be the name of the channel. That was funny 😂.
Well, at least he helped with the year down.

Looking good guys 👍👍
If I were closer (I'm in CA) I'd be interested in that bumper you guys pulled off for my '84 k20! Nice work...loving your content!
Cool video
That’s pretty cool
❤❤ Love your videos awesome content
I have an '84 K5 too. Somehow the case of the 700R4 trans cracked so it's waiting for a new one.
I just learned you were no longer with Finnegan! Glad to see your channel! new sub :)
I am interested in the front bumper off the blazer. If your buddy wants to get rid of it.
Nice!
Okay, I think most of us will agree this is arguably better than a 1975 4 door tan Dodge Dart, or a 1983 Chevy Citation, ha ha 😂
Nice
Brandon: Tell Nick an avalanche is not a truck :)
Not gonna lie..I thought Brandon was the 16 yr old at first and was like damn that’s an impressive beard!! Lol
I have a 16 year old and a 2wd 78 K5 he's been eyeing up. I may have to make something happen.

That bumper resembles a warn winch bumper
Hello LMC Truck, yeah how long to ship out a 84 K5?
Bummer I was hoping you would have converted it to two wheel frive

When is his birthday mines at the end of August and I’m turning 16 too
What happen to them kick shocks that were on the old axels. I’ll buys them off you if there not gunna be used. I’d hate to see them just tossed away
Hey Dave, build one for me and wife. I have metastatic breast cancer and stage 4 too.

8 Minute video, did they cut down the 10 minute rule for ad revenue or something? >

It is saweet
too tall. should have left it stock height or a 2 inch lift with a 33x12.50. its going to ride terrible.
