Dan....3 years ago or so that car was a rotted out hulk left for dead and you ...Dan ...brought it back to life thru hard work and determination (and visa..)....but you not only got it on the road.. but drove it 5000+ miles rather trouble free...that is something to be proud of! Much respect !!
Thanks dude!
And, it sounds cool too!
Just checkin to see if I am still hidden.
haha the neighbours rabbit just escaped at 11:19 lol
They run wild in certain parts of Winnipeg.
I hate having fun and hanging out with my car friends 😅
Yeah, I’m way too grumpy for that shit too
Yeah you are pretty hard to like
Considering where that Nomad started I applaud you.
Thanks Dan and Dani for taking us along with you guys.
Click bait.
Glad Dan n Dani are back safe to entertain all of us youtube fellars n fellets!!! Thanks again for bringing us all along on the trip!!! The 55 did saweeeeet!!!! Your handwork paid off!!!!
Hand work?
Soo, are Speedway Motors hooking you up with a straight axel for the Nova? :)
Good review of the Power Tour from your experiences! You guys are on the HOT ROD path for the regular folk... Good Luck with the new car(S)
Its no secret you brought the bricklin quit pretending lol
Derek paid him a $ 1,000 US to take it.
Hope to see you guys in Biloxi, man! With the Nomad though! For others considering coming to CTC, the one thing I can't over-emphasize about Cruisin the Coast Is make SURE your ride can tolerate bumper to bumper, gridlocked traffic without overheating.
You guy's have wild rabbits in town cool, your little rabbit friend showed up in your video in the counter time11:20
The Nomad is a really solid rig! She's Golden! Can wait to see what you're going to build for your next trip! Thanks for sharing! 😁👍
Sweet to see and here "Dan here" you guys are so great......thanks for sharing your lives with us all
So jealous of seeing you in "Project X" on Power Tour? How the heck did you make that happen?
I dont even know but it was awesome
I think I remember that Lucky has worked on that car quite a bit. Maybe he has special privileges?
@@DDSpeedShop You joined an elite club, well done.
Luckey is part of hot rod he probably does what ever he wants
The Nomad loves you because you saved it from disintegrating! That is why it ran and rode so great!! Great work DAN!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks For The Videos,Really Enjoyed Cruising, With You And Danni
That bundle of wrap in front of the Nomad sure has the shape of a Bricklin SV-1, LoL. I think the secret project is out.
Nope, that is another project🙂
I live 90 miles from panama city beach florida, and you can't spend 2 weeks there for 3500!
Don.t forget the Woodward Dream Cruise in Aug. I will be coming up from VA. It was great meeting you on the HRPT!!
Your interview with Derek was phenomenal.
Thanks for bringing us along-the Nomad was a great choice for the tour--Sorry I missed you in Bristol,TN-and I live in east TN. too. Maybe next year..
I’m in Mississippi and Cruising the Coast is amazing event. Get ready for traffic though but just pull off by the beach and kick back a couple Dr Peppers and enjoy the thousands of cars driving by.
👍👏🏻🎯🙏 As always enjoy your videos , really enjoy sharing your journeys God bless 💖🤪
Man, not sure if you did it on purpose but you have one of the most reliable cars on the tour, haha. Amazing where that car came from to now, nice work, glad you both enjoyed it!
I’m a Camaro guy and would love to see a couple of them on this channel. There is a 1971 Camaro SS 396 in my garage and it’s my pride and joy
That’s my favorite year Camaro
He has a 67 and 68 I believe in total parts. It will be interesting to see what he does with them.
Nice to see you guys had such a great trip..now to address the “elephant” in the room.
Since the Bricklin is already a 2 door, are you going to make it a 4 door?🇨🇦🛠️
That's a brilliant idea. How about a 12 door stretch limo ?
Bricklin? What bricklin?
Put on you list to go to the Good Guys event in Puyallup WA. Lots of Canadians' and you could go through Mt Rushmore. Lots of Taco Johns over here in Montana right off of I 90
i just knew Dan would fire off the troll cannons full tilt once he got back. you cant let him have 5k miles worth of time to think up hilarious video titles and thumbnails and not expect top tier trollin
Take that chrome distributor hold down bracket off and throw it in the garbage. I’ve had problems with them chrome brackets on two of the three big blocks l’ve had.
Words of wisdom Dan. Keep it simple if you plan on doing lots of mileage. All my cruiser type of hot rods I built all had one thing in common. Readily avaliable parts. Have a tool kit for each car. If you have more than one. Why pack an entire wrench or socket set if you only need 3 different sizes ? Don't pack stuff you will never use. Vice grips and adjustable wrenches. And multi tip screwdrivers. If you need more than that, you will find that one guy that has brought every tool imaginable.
Bring a hammer. You can do lots with just that. A real problem solver.
My car Club in now working on an Power Tour type extended cruise out here in the Southwest. The Route were trying to get is Las Vegas to Lake Havasu to Barstow California to Bakersfield to Pomona, which 700 ish miles total. Were shooting for Veterans day weekend of 2024 for the first one, a cruise like that out here has to be in either the spring or fall when the temps are in the 60's and 70's, i mean it's 11 am here in Northwest Arizona and it's 93 degrees, no one wants to do all that when it's almost 100 and it's not even noon yet. When we get more done and closer to getting anything form I'll let you know and maybe you guys will come down and join us.
It was great to finally meet you guys! Love the T's! People asked about them. I just tell them DD Speed Shop RUclips! See you guys next year!
You worked really hard to get the car ready to go. Glad to hear you had a great time.
So I’m guessing you didn’t get to visit with Uncle Tony and Aunt Kathy …What’s up with that ?🤔
❤❤ Hey brother, I love your videos I was kind of went through. I got a new computer and one through your whole playlist.
If you still have the Opel GT, that wold be a great cruise car.🙄
Definitely sounds like a good time it’s on the bucket list
Maybe the distributer hold down was the issue you had with the Holley EFI? Your right driving your car isn't fun, and hanging with friends. Everytime I drive my car it seems to have less and less rear tires. Not fun!!! Congrats on the new adventures that may come your way! Maybe after the 6.0L swap on the Nomad, that SBC could go in to Danny's girlfriend's Chevy II?
Hmmm, good point
don't tell me you bought that damn Bricklyn,.. 🤣
I think you’d be singing a different tune if you did power tour and got the view count vice grip garage gets
👀🤓🤓👍👍from Flint Michigan Gordon WALKER
I literally had to wrench every day. And I'm still going next year. Good seein' you guys 👍🤘
Heck ya!
Want to see good scenery? Cruise the west coast of Canada. Feel slightly affronted when yr telling Americans that we don't have this stuff or scenery in Canada. And mentioning the weather up here, please don't assume Vancouver weather is anywhere near like what you guys experience in Winnipeg. I know cuz I did a year and a half in Transcona in 66-7. Was in total shock lol. Also bought a wrecked 62 Acadian & brand new 427 from Winnipeg motors. Started my first funny car project there but became a B a
Altered
Excellent recap. It's great that the wagon did so well on such a long trip.
I'm so glad Dan stuck with the NoMADD. I know he wasn't feeling it for a while and without blame.....but look at her now!!!
If you can afford it why not. It's not for me. In California I can easily drive 1,000 miles and never leave the city. Theres places you can actually drive 170 mi an hour on the freeway if you leave the city there's trees all the way to Oregon. Thousands of miles of coastline. Why would I want to drive to Some Parking lot and sit. Your channel didn't show one car going down a track. It look pretty much boring
Your in California..nuff said.
Darn it, going out to check my distributor hold down clamp , I should have bought a new one.
Did ya’ll see the rabbit come under the fence? Looked like a cottontail rabbit like we have here in Alabama. Enjoyed watching your Power Tour videos.
Hey Dan do you think you guys will ever move to the US?
Was that a rabbit 🐇 coming out of the neighbors yard lol.
Hey man Doug’s makes fenderwell LS headers, JBA speed shop is the cheapest place to get them. They were on the Double Trouble Chevy II Gasser
No major problems on any road trip of the length you and Danni just completed says a lot about your build Dan. That's something you can take pride in for sure. Driving a car on the road is what a car was built for.
We went on a 1700 mile road trip last month to Mount Rushmore from Minneapolis. You'll love it. You do some good climbing while going up to it though. lol I also averaged 14.4 mpg in my old 75 Malibu pulling a little Hobo Freight trailer, that carried spare parts and personal belongings. We had a blast doing Needles Highway too. One word of advice. You'll be headed thru SD,ND, or Sask. on your way there from Winnepeg, if you want to see NOTHING! Do it during the day. If you don't want to see NOTHING, do it at night. haha
Anyways. Thanks for the content and can't wait to see that rare Candain car you brought back. 😁
Awesome trip, the SoMaDD did great !
I want ur 56 wagon !!😆👍
We were very fortunate to have been able to stay at our own home Monday night, then at my sister's house Tuesday. After that we were on our own, but it did save us some bucks.
It was great to meet you guys, and we love the shirts!
Edit: Glad to hear your opinion on teespring. We were looking into them for some shirts, too.
Thanks for the support!
HOnestly, the one thing that I have learned I think watching what you went through with this nomad, was MANUAL TRANS, and do'nt LS swap, and DON'T do EFI, or electronic ignitions. I am still working on an LS swap square body I thought was a great idea at the time, but would have been long done by now, if I'd just have dropped a Small block Chevy in it.. Computer gizmos, they'll be the death of us all! I say that as an IT guy!
I keep listening to these guys say ( you have to go injection and update) it's more reliable. Lmao. I keep telling people the most reliable you can get is the old mechanical stuff. Derrick at Vice Grip just had to put a Holley system on that's Regal because it was more reliable. I laughed. I even messaged him that he knows better. He didn't have trouble with the Regal but he did with his pickup that they did injection on last year. Now that I said that I am thinking Ls with overdrive for power tour next year. That and I could do LS shows and other car shows. I have a small block on the stand and I think maybe I should just put the small block in and a 700R4.
"LS... because I don't feel like they have a soul" ... ohhh we could totally riff on THIS for hours!
Welcome Back Dan!!!
Danni, so glad you and your boyfriend had a great time and you made it home safely. 👍👍🇨🇦. How is my Biscayne?
Enough of power tour lets get down to work !!!! lol !!
Idk, Tony's a little slighted that you were at the advance auto around the corner from his house and didn't stop.
I guess we could've left the broken car for another day?
I’m new to your channel but I’m loving your content!!! I watch you guys from South Korea and very much enjoyed following the Nomad and crew.
You must have a good employer to let you have the kind of time off you need to do this kind of traveling. Good for you guys
You should sell one of those hat long hair wig thingies.
Come on with the "supercar" bro. Don't leave us hanging...
Sounds like it was a great time. 👍
But the one thing I hate is how the car guys won't tell you the real price on getting a classic car running costs!!!
without the buddies connections and shit
I think the DeBoss garage usually does a cost breakdown, but it's Canadian dollars...lol.
Loved watching this series ya hairlip....but what im sure what we ALL REALLY WANNA SEE IS....what are you gonna put your 4BT in?!
Thanks for taking us along.
We are going to be at cruzin the coast 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼 look for Angie’s 39 chevy. We will see ya there 👍🏻🙌🏼👊🏼 we still have to do a power tour recap video 😂😂 been a little bit busy since we got home. Got a corvette to finish on a deadline 😳😳😳🤣🤣🔧🔧🔧🔧
11:20 RABBIT aka THUMPER lol
I've been saying next year for 2 years now... I mean it this time!! And with any luck, I'll see you in October... BTW, Mount Rushmore is AMAZING!!
You are going to enjoy cruising the coast in Mississippi
54 miles or car shows and cruising
Carshows in different areas everyday
CRUISING all day and into the late hours of the night
Or you can pull out a chair and cooler after finding you a spot and watch cars go by
But get your reservation for a room ASAP
OCEAN SPRINGS IS SHADED AND BILOXI HAS A HUGE SHOW
BAY ST LOUIS MANY MANY SHOWS ALL WEEK LONG
finish it man, what a rare specimen !
"Project Car" "Super Car" .... so you're saying you bought the Bricklin from VGG?
Hey Dan, saw your 'Don't Waste Your Time' and i took the hook lol.... i've been watching other channels of folks that have done the tour , Derek @ Vice Grip Garage, Lisa & Kevin's from Ridge Runner and of course they all loved it! Just trying to get all the pro's and con's of The Tour i can, can't make this years but hopefully 2025's and it's all good to see how fellow Canuckians make out ;)
Thanks for the tips, keeping it simple is always good. I'll check out the rest of your vids shortly, cheers!
Did I see a rabbit run by in your alley?😂
Way to go, and you returned one of the Kanaxistan vehicles to its home in the frozen North, where you may not have over heating issues!😂
Puddin’s Fab Shop lesson and advice to career RUclipsrs: control your merchandising as much as possible and do 100% of your distributing. 💰💰💰
Mount Rushmore rocks. Secret Native ceremonial grounds up behind it. Must see. Don’t miss Crazy Horse monument and Devils Tower.
1 of the reasons if I lived in Canada would be to get away from the cold weather, should never think your going have bad luck on trip like this, but you try to take care of all the problems before leaving, that's why you test it out real good!👍😎
rushmore, crazy horse, deadwood, (boot hill-wild bill hickocks grave) spearfish canyon, lead, sturgis, homesteak gold mine (my father worded there in the 30's), devils tower, just to name a few.
Supercar? From Derek... I dunno about that. You guys talked about a Bricklin in that O'Reilly's thing..... Say you didn't buy his Bricklin.... oh man tell us you didn't do it. Oh well. If you did, you gotta put something nutty in it. Like a 2J or a Barra or a rotary, that would be insanity.
D&D A little off topic just saw Robert Plant and Allison Kraus in taos New Mexico wow they did 5 Led Zeppelin songs when the Levy breaks 30 minutes with Moroccan beat' unbelievable if they come through Winnipeg Spring for it you won't regret it .
take your nova or your corba
Dan, just as an educational guess.... you bought Derricks 59 El Camino! I bet I'm right. 😊
I appreciate how you always keep it pushing! RUclips and constant videos not easy!
Thanks dude
too funny!.taco johns! Derricks fave..
we got TJs here in lacrosse Wisconsin ,love ya triple DD ❤❤❤🌮🌯
Hopefully maybe next year I'll have the big block 4sp 67 Chevelle together, plain Malibu but oh well. Enjoy your content, keep it going!!!
Dan slapping the fender is the loudest sound that has ever been uploaded to RUclips DD SPEED SHOP? DD SPEED SHOP.
You'll love Cruisin The Coast. 7000+ cars, and just like Power Tour, you will need a good cooling system because it's still hot as hell the first week October on the MS Gulf Coast!
well...first i come across ya here @ newburns....nice to see another Canadian content channel...guess I'll have to have a rip through your archives next...cheers from BC
You’re going to love Taco John’s! The Potato Oles are the SHIT!!!!! I suggest sour cream and nacho cheese as your dipping sauces.
They say guests are like fish --after 3 days they stink... Glad you're home Dan (now you can go back to stinkin up The Great White North). 😆😆😆
I was surprised you knew about Culver’s!!!! How often do you get to Wisconsin????
*
Yep,dats a long ride
So when are yall gonna move down here to the states
Following your trip from my trip to Spain!
The cost is comparable! $$$
I think this car is going to be your most popular flagship!
I never really got the excitement about Power Tour. but then I hit any carshow within a 10 hour round trip drive. Take the back roads? yep, already do that to avoid tolls--check. Talk to car guys? yep, do that at the car shows and find out how many bought the car online and know nada. Check. fix the car on the side of the road? well i hate drama so i do it at home. so i guess no checkmark there. Funny thing is, people who join car clubs used to do this stuff on the weekends anyway--now folks stay at home to watch car related shows on cable TV, so maybe that's why i don't "get it".
I’ve been running carbureted LS engines since 2006, dead simple and they just work, can’t beat the simplicity and power for the money. 👍🏻
I'm bettin the '55 towed back a Bricklin SV-1 back to the fatherland. Just a guess though.
