@@bugsbane it was! To make sure it was cooked through, I chopped it up before I threw it in. Because it cooks with steam, I’m sure whole chicken thighs will also cook through. But I didn’t want to have to cut through them after it was done.

Nah, I like frying it Chinese style, it’s crispy meat and rice with moistness then🤤
I don’t even use a rice cooker lol I cook rice in a pot like a chad.

Actually, it does. And I can control how fluffy it is and I can cook odd styles of rice like brown and hulled rice easier and faster.
Every rice eating nation should aspire to learn to pot cook rice
Did you know that less than 10% of regular rice eating nations know how to cook rice in a pot?
Despite this most rice eating nations are too poor to afford rice cookers…
      A tragedy really.

    • @Kota-sk8sl
      @Kota-sk8sl Месяц назад +2

@@ironhell813 actually it objectively does not. A rice cooker incorporates anything you could do in a stovetop pot. Most new rice cookers come with fuzzy logic, which is an AI (that IS smarter than you) that can adjust things on the fly in response to the exact conditions in your home, something you cannot do with stovetop (unless you have a device consistently measuring humidity and several other atmospheric conditions inside your home in real time, which you don’t).
Again, smarter not harder. There is not a single person on earth that’s going to think you’re a “Chad” for cooking rice inefficiently. There’s nothing wrong with cooking it stovetop, you’re just not cool or special for it. Simple.

Thank you Chef, I love your recipes and this one makes me want it so much. 2 questions however: how to replace garlic and ginger sauces (perishable in just 4 weeks) powder perhaps or a garlic + ginger preparation in the pan? 2nd question: is it necessary to prepare the eggs 40 minutes before incorporating them?

Aucun problème. J'irai droit au but !!
      --------
No problem. I'll get straight to the point!!
Q1: You can freeze tubed garlic and ginger to keep them longer. Or simply grate the fresh ones finely. Powders are not recommended as they are designed to suit Western dishes.
Q2: You don't have to prepare the egg in advance. No stress👍
I hope this answer helps you!! Let me know if you have any other questions!! This will help other viewers too!! So don't be shy😉
