Still enjoying your videos. Still gold. I appreciate what you're doing. Somehow you achieve inspiring and soothing at the same time. LOL That's rare. Thanks
@SteveMattheis joining on the next Dovrefjell trip to photograph musk-oxen with @trondwestby5264 confirmed. There's no other way this can be interpreted 😁
I just saw your video on my TV and came here to leave this comment. You took some beautiful pictures, Steve! As an enthusiast photographer, they were jaw dropping for me! Btw, I liked your marketing effort. It was a great effort from someone who is seemingly a shy salesman haha.
Loved that vertical/portrait image of the single coyote pup looking out of the boards of the barn. I think the combination of the wildlife with the weathered old barn wooks really well and that particular composition really worked for me. 👌 Best wishes from Wales.
The images of the calf with its mother and the color contrast as well as the positioning are great. Now I'm going to finish watching the rest of the video.
Gotta love baby wildlife season! I was envious of the bison with the mountain, but then those coyote pups! Oh my! 🥰 I really should get up and out when I can’t sleep. But, I probably won’t 😂
Bison are one of my favourite animals to photograph. I spent a lot of time with them in Alberta at one of our National Parks. They pose an interesting challenge I think because they are always in high contrast with the environment. The thick dark fur creates a great contrast and texture if you can get the right light. Great video, really enjoyed it.
A really nice outing and images. The photos of the buffalo and red dogs coming out of the sage brush were exceptional and I also really liked the fox kits playing in and around the barn.
Speaking of Africa, in a video before your last trip you mentioned a device you made from a monopod, a handle, a ball head, and a remote for lowering you camera from the safari vehicle to near the ground to get eye-level shots of the animals work out? I think you had two designs you were considering.
I haven’t used my 70-200 in ten months since I got the Tamron… the Tamron is great. One thing to note: It has heavy vignette wide open but I kinda like that.
Steve..'it's kind off mediocre '...almost everyone else 'I think this is one of my best images ever!!!' LOL.....I think though this speaks to having your gear ready to go on a moments notice...pack clean and ready for camera and lenses, batteries charged, a cliff bar or two for when you need a quick bite and a water bottle ready to be filled before you head out the door. Great video once again.
In early June My wife and I did a cross-country round trip from NY to 22 States. We were lucky enough to spend 4 days in the Grand Teton & Yellowstone Park area. Are you in the park? I noticed you are on dirt roads. We plan on returning in the next 3-4 years and staying a long longer...maybe a month. Keep up the great work. GOD Bless
Hey Steve...tech question. The images of the adult and red dog emerging from the sage... what did you focus on? They both appeared in focus but the ap. Was at 2.8. Liked those and the backlit pups!

I appreciate that!
Steve: "Photographically it do not excite me!". Trond thinks: "What a heck is he talkning about, he god bison, in beautiful brush😂" Great video buddy!
Thanks for watching 👍

nice video Steve. The coyote pups were "cuteness overload". Loved them. I think the rough lumber from the barn made those images more interesting.
Thanks 👍 and I agree

Beautiful work Steve❣I've been following you for several years and have never been disappointed by your videos and photos. 😊
Awesome, thank you!

beautiful, raw and catchy video.

Loved the coyote pups, and the buffalo at sunrise were pretty cool!
Thanks👍

My favorite photo was the one of the lone coyote pup. Besides the cuteness of the photo it was a beautiful composition.
Thank you very much!
I think you made some wonderful photos, including the slow shutter speed ones!
Thanks!

Those ones that you weren’t very psyched about… They were amazing! 👏
Thanks👍

Glad you enjoyed it
That first picture is wall worthy, it just resonates with me.
Thanks!
Always a treat to see a new Steve Matteis video out!
Enjoyed the video as always. The Coyote's were particularly cute.
Glad you enjoyed it
Only in Jackson Hole do the words 29 degrees and July go together in the same sentence.
👍

It was worth trading a few hours sleep for a great morning in Nature Steve, great work 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the video! Love seeing good wildlife photographs here on RUclips.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video again Steve!
Thanks again!
Thanks!
Many thanks to you👍
Wow! Great shots Steve. :o)
Many thanks!
One month away from Jackson Hole and our week at Gros Ventre Campground. See you then!
👍
Great content as usual Steve. What's your thoughts on the Tamron? I've been looking at it as a wider option than my Z70-200.

@@SteveMattheis Thank you so much

Focus was on the calf. Mom's face was in essentially the same plane of focus so she was sharp too
Which lens were you using at 7:20 with the bison and calf coming through the brush? Incredibly sharp!

A very good morning considering that you only went out because you couldn’t go back to sleep!
I agree👍
