Hi Steve; It was great talking with you that morning. I got some of the same bull Elk that you did. FYI, I never saw any Great Gray owls in the 10 days I was there. Went to Yellowstone and didn't see any wolfs either in Lamar Valley. I was 0 for 3 in the owl, wolf and Griz sweepstakes. I had a great time photographing scenics, fox, moose, elk and just being in the wilderness. Oh yeah... That offer I made for your lens still stands, LOL

Was this around the 10th 11th time frame. I was out at Pilgram creek with my family and may have talekd to you a few time as we were both trying to find the Gray Owl that had been seen up, I remember you saying you had seen Steve a few times. I was there when some had seen a Grix=zley (maybe bruno ) out at two oceans, but no luck for me seeing any grizzlies while at GT, missed 399 and her cubs tow dayn in road by about 10 min. Me and the family were lucky though and see a nice pack of wolves up in YS which I loved and though the pics do not come up great was till very happy.

Never got to see the owl, but since being back at Vandenberg Space Force Base, did get a nice shot of a great Horn Owl and some California Condors over at Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Trying to get out of my RV here this morning and drive up the Pacific Coast Highway towards Big Sur and see if I can spots some Zebras at San Simeon and maybe some more condors at Big Sur. Best to you and enjoyed the chats at Pilgram Creek while we were there. Be safe and good luck shooting the Wildlife.

It’s cruel to make us wait so long for those of us who have to live vicariously through your images (I am gently teasing by the way)! It was great to see you up and about, it seems you are putting that 400 to great use and I guess you added a Ninja 5 to your video kit for more flexibility.
