This has been my motivator to STOP ALL fast food in my life. I ate fast food 12-15 times a month so far this year. This month it's been ZERO and I'm seeing my bank balance in a better condition. When I was a kid back in the 60s, people only went out to eat for special occasions or when they were traveling. No one ate out regularly. The only exception was some places of work had a cafeteria which wasn't expensive and workers would eat their lunch there. Back in the 70s, the McDonald's hamburger was 30cents and its cheeseburger was 40cents. The portions were smaller and you rarely saw anyone overweight.

The problem people are seeing doesn't exist. If the gap between wages and cost of living are reduced, then prices will reflect that. Economist found that fast food companies only needed to raise prices by 10-50 cents to still be making considerable profit, and if people are putting more of their money back into the economy and working steady jobs (not having to juggle 3 jobs to make ends meet), that is good. If the fast food companies are doing so bad they need to react so aggressively to not go out of business, then I feel they have probably been cooking their books; Only other conclusion I could draw would be corporate greed, but doubt it as, like I said, they could still maintain considerable profit by a marginal increase.

I like how the obvious fallout from the wage increase was barely discussed beforehand and now everyone is like whaaaatttt the fast food companies are passing on the increases to consumer? whodathunk. Can say "Corporate greed/profits" til the cows come home but they arent not for profit, of course everyone has to pay more.

I eat fast food almost every single day and I haven't noticed a single price increase yet anywhere. I think this is just another example of the media cherry picking info to make a story when there's no actual story there.

All this complaining about minimum wage hike and increase prices; I'm still seeing big lines in fast food restaurants and other food chains. 😮😂

Its stupid to pay 20 someone who doesn’t do there job the way it should be its a waste of money I really don’t agree with the minimum wage going to 20 since everything else is gonna get more expensive at the end of day still the same thing no change if anything it’s even worse.

I still buy it, because it's good. Also how you do business is to make a profit, if you can't make a profit there is no point of a business. Why not support the cause and help pay for other people's living cost? You have to practice what you preach anyways.
