honestly i wouldnt blame you. first time i went on that ride, me and my dad were pilots and the fact we didnt crash was honestly a miracle. its not the easiest to control.
The whole “No, everyone has already been evacuated.” While you AND another family were still in there just feels like something you see in a horror movie
Chad Chad's trip legit sounds like something from hell or at least a Mr Bean comedy. Props to Chad for going through everything so calmly. Really living up to her name.
Hey Sad Boyz pod! So i had talked to my friend who used to work at the park about the ride incident because I was bothered how multiple staff members tried to force a bandaid on me and she confirmed that they were doing that so they wouldn't have to fill an official report that I was hurt on the ride from the seatbelt equipment. Also the fact that we were in a character area technically but all the staff dropped their Galaxies Edge talking style means something must have been very wrong.
That there was no way for you to get out of your seat and that there was no way to open the doors from the inside flies in the face of so many safety regulations - you absolutely deserve compensation after all that. The way they treated you is absolutely unacceptable.
The seriousness of the situation makes this whole thing that much worse. If there was a real danger then why weren't there any safety protocols for trapped guests? And if they do have a policy then it clearly was not followed correctly. Will be interested to see if there is any resolution
Chad Chads trip was so harrowing I fr almost started crying when she was talking about TSA sending her back to the help desk. I would've just collapsed on the spot
as a disney world cast member this is INSANE like they should have been spieling into the cabin to tell you whats going on!!!! i dont work at falcon but i do work at a simulator and we are supposed to spiel every 2 minutes if guests are stuck inside. and amanda’s injury!????? if someone even feels sort of ill after a ride or falls and scrapes their knee or ANYTHING we have to ask if they need medical attention THREE TIMES and they have to refuse all three times otherwise we call, i cannot believe how they handled that
also i will say in terms of astro blasters, omnimover attractions like that stop all the time because they stop the whole ride for anyone in a wheelchair/ecv/etc or anyone who struggles to walk on the moving walkway, so thats not necessarily a sign of a problem or something to be concerned about
@@ratkeepgenerally when you lie you try to convince the other person you're right and that they're wrong. It's lying. It's a bold lie, yeah, but not gaslighting. Gaslighting isn't a thing you can do over the course of one conversation, it's generally a long-term thing. It would be very hard to break someone's trust in their sanity over the course of one conversation.
So if there WAS an actual emergency, 25 minutes of no assistance or communication is unacceptable. Also the employees were 100% trying to downplay the finger wound because sending that person to the medical center validates the injury as serious. If they had successfully bullied her into accepting the shitty napkin instead of actual care they could claim it wasn’t as big of a deal as it was, and avoid having to file an incident report or whatever. EDIT: Also we need to regulate airports much more harshly in this country. The fact that they can be both dangerously and stupidly incompetent AND overcharge AND abuse employees and customers AND still get bailed out whenever is a failure of the country and the economy.
Not airports, Airlines need to be regulated out of existence. There isn't a reason for there to be anything other than public airlines that are a public transportation service like trains and busses.
FR!! I assume that most of the time that the ride is running, there is at least one pod high up in the air-so how the fuck did they not have a quick and safe escape route from that high point without having to wheel in maintenance stairs?? And there should definitely be some failsafe for the pods themselves that the alarm somehow triggers the seatbelts and doors to unlock or sth because people being trapped and unable to reach the outside is so dangerous.
It’s absurd that they were stuck in there that long with no one letting them know what’s going on. Even though nothing happened, they need to have communication into those pods to tell people of it’s okay or not. They really should be filing complaints.
I used to be safety chair at a decent sized factoy...a hang nail, a sliver, a paper cut...it all needs to bw reported. An employee got a metal prick once...supervisor made fun of him for complaining and didnt report it...he ended up almost dying and needing a blood transfusion about two hours later due to a severe poisoning in his blood. There are no defined laws surrounding safett, really...it is lefr ambuguous on purpose. Esswnrially, the law boils down to the company doing everyrhing poasible to prevent injuries, within reason. It is that open. If anything "could" have been implemented and wasnt, it is negligence. In 99.9% of cases, something cpuld have been implemented or changed to improve safety. In 99.9% of cases, the company will be held liable in regards to safety because of rhis intentiomal ambiguity. The company must prove there qas absolutely nothinf that cpuld have beem done, reasonably, to prevent injury. Not thinking something could happen is not a valid excuse. You literally have to presume people are morons, and that evwrything has potential to cause harm...because that is kinda reality.
What on earth is this I thought it'd be ONE mildly frustrating story and then it just kept going and now I'm mortified. Also Jordan's face as Chad Chad kept pulling a new rabbit out of the bag is just priceless
this is just the most insane infuriating story I've heard in a hot minute and at the center is gross corporate negligence and mismanagement on all fronts
chadchad has so much patience. i would have been sobbing the ENTIRE time having to deal with flight and hotel issues 😭 that’s actually one of the most stressful things for me
It's wild that they kept insisting that everyone had been evacuated when the people they were talking to were literally on the phone with people who had not been evacuated.
as a theme park enthusiast, that alarm is... genuinely unreal. emergency stops ("e-stops") are relatively common, but I've never heard of an alarm like that blaring throughout, especially at Disney. that paired with the incredibly poor handling throughout, is downright horrifying. then getting caught in various block zones on Astro Blasters... I am removing any trips to Disneyland from my docket. they're just six flags with sparkles.
at least six flags has real thrill rides. i domt know why but i have always felt so safe at six flags but when i went to Universal Studios i was way more anxious. and i've been going on pretty intense roller coasters since i was like 10
Usually the Astro Blaster ride stops because someone requires assistance getting onto the ride. Since the ride is a consistently moving one it requires the whole thing to stop. They do this for elderly people, children, and people with disabilities. This also happens on the Ariel ride. The Falcon ride situation was inexcusable though.
The alarm blaring like that could genuinely have been dangerous too, there was an incident I remember reading about where a disabled man was stuck on It’s A Small World for about half an hour and had his medical conditions exacerbated by the loud music, I can’t imagine how much worse it would’ve been if it had been an alarm like it was here.
disney is tbh to me less of an actual amusement park and more of just like. a disney fan experience or whatever. great america or six flags (either cali location) are all much better for the rides & i think significantly cheaper
When she talked about the kids crying from the other pod I was genuinely upset, like the panic they must have felt coupled with the inability of their parent to offer physical comfort?? For half an hour?? Poor family 😭
Maybe I'm a jerk, but I would be (respectfully) down the help desk's throat a few times about getting some sort of compensation at the airport. It's downright shameful they didn't offer.
Props Chad Chad for being so casual about this. As a very anxious and autistic individual I probably would’ve panicked so hardcore. So sorry your trip was affected with this. 😭
Autism hell, nothing is working as it should, everyone is saying you're wrong, you're tired, its loud, you're schedule is all fucked and two hours after landing you have to go speak in front of a ton of people
I was evacuated from Flight of Passage, and I have to say, similarly disheartening situation. It’s sad how poorly Disney handles these situations, especially after working at a Cedar Fair park and seeing how well a chain with fewer resources handles similar situations.
Cedar Fair def benefits from having smaller management. Disney parks started going downhill when they started all being managed under one corporate team. They used to be managed as individual parks but now its all managed by people thousands of miles away who have no idea whats going on in each location. I bet even the emergency plans are OK'd by these remote teams. This is also why the food has become worse and souveniers just say Disney Parks and not the specific location. Its all been streamlined to save money. The exception is Tokyo Disney Sea which is managed by a different company and unsurprisingly is thought by many to be the best park.
It’s absurd that they were stuck in that pod that long with no one letting them know what’s going on. Even though nothing happened, they need to have communication into those pods to tell people of it’s okay or not. They really should be filing complaints. I’m sorry y’all had to go through that. I can’t imagine how nerve racking that was.
Also it is literally the best idea to tell what is going on to quell any fears (assuming it is a small problem) that they may have. The only reason it would backfire is if there is an actual emergency they don’t want to give illegally wrong information that everything is fine or tell the people that there is an emergency which would heighten fears.
If there is a legit emergency they would not be liable for unactionable erroneous information. But they are definitely liable for negligent infliction of emotional distress where they failed to communicate with the stranded passengers: a) to determine how many there were, b) their exact location, and c) their state of consciousness/well-being as they waited for help.
While I agree with you, in this situation this is Disney. It's not that they didn't believe her, it's the fact that if it's more than can be handled with a bandaid, the incident has to be written up and reported to regulatory authorities. They'll try anything to minimize things in order to avoid any sort of repercussions.
i really hope that if any of you send a case through you actually get compensated :( disney does not have a good track record with compensating people who are injured in the park unless it might be a child. my mum, on the first day of our trip, slipped on a wet bathroom floor in disneyland paris & broke her arm. they sent her to the hospital connected to the park, but everyone there was super unhelpful and the language barrier didn't help much. there were some children going in and out of the hospital who were given mickey plushies and treated before her. it took her the rest of the day to be seen and treated and when we got back home we were told they had given her the wrong type of cast to cure her fracture. for the rest of the trip she couldn't go on any rides. they gave us a few free fastpasses & an icecream voucher each for compensation, but we sought a legal case after. disney came back to us with an offer for £500, but that barely covered the cost of our holiday, and meant literally nothing to them as a multi million dollar company, so we declined. the case was ongoing with a personal claim solicitor for 4 years, seeing at this happened around 2019 before any conclusion.
@@Jennaros1ty we got given a different offer for more money Only by outsourcing to an compensation/accident/personal claim solicitor, but it still wasn't a lot compared to what we payed for the holiday lol. to make matters kinda Worse the wet floor was because of a leak in the bathroom or something (my mum describes as just "looking like a small river across the floor") fastpasses at disneyland paris are/were already free, so they essentially just pre-booked them for us??? and we didn't even get a chance to redeem the ice-cream voucher cos it was only for Certain Ice-creams ???
@@ghost.mp5omg that’s insultingly low. Covering your holiday should’ve been the absolute _least_ they offered you guys. And there should’ve definitely also been some compensation for the fact that they didn’t even treat the broken arm properly so between that and any other future medical bills/issues that potentially occurred, you should’ve been offered way more. It’s wild because lots of places will offer a pretty decent amount to get it settled quickly and not have to go through the legal trouble, potential bad press, etc. but clearly Disney just doesn’t care. Also to offer you guys fast passes, which wow thanks a lot I’m sure my moms broken arm will enjoy these, and ICE CREAM VOUCHERS omg I can’t that is insane. I’m so sorry you guys had to go through that for years. Did they at least cover your solicitor fees?
@@mangofree NO LITERALLY WE WERE LIKE WHST R WE GONNA USE THIS FOR MY MUM CANT GO ON RIDES????? we used it to like triple book fastpasses for the ratatouille ride because we wanted to see how many times we could go on it in one day lol (it was 7.) luckily we're from the uk so we didn't have to pay medical bills or anything for her arm (thank u nhs) but we basically dropped the case with disney and told them we were going to an indepdent accident solicitor??? like one of those "if you had an accident & it wasn't your fault call us and we'll pursue a case & give you some of the money" type deals. even then still took us 4 years to actually get anything & now we can't even afford to go on another trip seeing as the prices r getting too high :^

Chad's story is one of those snowballing stories where you keep thinking that it has to be the last bad thing and then she goes "and then my san diego flight got cancelled". At that moment it was clear there would be so much more
28:04 So! I used to work for an airline in the Baggage department handling the luggage (primarily luggage that had issues like missing tags, missed connections, etc.,). The most likely reason Chad Chad’s luggage made the connecting flight *without* Chad Chad herself is because there were runners waiting at the late inbound flight with a list of “hot” bags to run to their connections and they were able to grab those bags and drive them to the outbound flight faster than the passengers were offloaded. Within just a few minutes of a plane parking at the gate, baggage handlers are opening the cargo hold(s) and unloading baggage, and if the luggage was loaded well then the bags that have connections-especially ones anticipated to be short-are already separated out/organized making them easy to divvy up between runners. Bags can make *crazy* short connections-like less than 5 minutes-in situations where it’s literally impossible for the passenger to make the connection. Often times bags will continue on to the destination either because: (A) The runners do not yet know the passenger didn’t make the connection-they are just reading their paperwork, the bag tags, and getting the bags to their proper flights as quickly as possible. If there was a delay for weather, then it’s totally understandable that the outbound flight would not be able to wait for connecting passengers, and this information would not necessarily be told to the runners (or told to them in time). (B) The baggage handlers are given the go-ahead to load the bag on the outbound flight without the passenger. This is particularly common when the outbound flight is the last flight of the day to that particular destination-this ensures the bag gets to the “right” location, avoids further headache and scrambling with rerouting, and saves the airline money (if they have to send the bag on a different flight-especially if it is the flight of a different airline-then there is a net cost that the airline has to accept). Alternatively, if the bag *does not* make the connection and the passenger’s flight itinerary keeps changing (especially since Chad Chad ended up flying out of an entirely different airport), then the airline will put the bag on their earliest available flight to the nearest destination, if not the same destination. The goal is typically to get the bag to the destination as the passenger arrives (or before if possible…in other words, as close to the passenger’s arrival time as possible). Sometimes this results in a bag being sent to a nearby destination instead if a flight there was earlier and/or it would get the bag to the passenger earlier than the alternative options. In my experience the passenger is usually notified of this though and either gives the go-ahead to pick up the bag or to have it delivered to them. Don’t even get me started on the headache that could have resulted from this kind of situation if Chad Chad was flying internationally!
All I got from.that is that airlines are masters at capitalism...cause common sense says keep bags tied to the passenger...but that wpuld mean less flights, less money...so screw the passenger...what are they gonna do...buy their own plane? So sick of wvery damn company making issues that should be their own and passing them on to their customer and taxpayers.
I have worked customer service for over ten years and am an introvert with horrible anxiety. I have never once in my entire work history spoken to someone so passive aggressively for absolutely no reason. The only time I am rude to anyone is if they are being deranged towards me. It is absolutely a thankless job, but you cannot take your own frustrations of the job out on someone who just is literally existing. Like unless someone is being disrespectful to you, treat them with kindness.
I tecently moved from a larger city to a really small one, and holy moly people here are just generally.angry or something...9 of 10 cashier interactions is like wtf...i go extra cheery and chatty with these bitter rednecks just to get on em even more...just dont be an angry dick at me for trying to simply buy something...they say something about small town quaintness but all that seems to mean so far is bitter, angry rednecks who hate their own existence as much as they hate me for simply existing. I am not sure many of these people have ever left this place cause theyd quickly realize most of em are just angry a holes and it isnt normal. Just let me purchase something without an attitude...i dont know what they want from me.
Yeah, whenever I've encountered snippy service I just smile and gently remind them that I don't work there so I don't necessarily know how things are supposed to operate there on the regular. Without fail, this has worked in de-escalating a person's work grumpiness that has zero to do with me.
It's pretty common for the Buzz Lightyear ride to stop because some people struggle to get on the ride vehicles. The ride vehicles are in constant motion and the loading area has one of those moving sidewalks, so when folks with disabilities want to get on they have to stop the vehicles in their tracks so they can board properly
Weirdest way to see so many of my favorite creators together… discussing being trapped on a Disney ride. I just watched Amanda’s AX review so I wasn’t expecting to see her lmao
As someone who knows the Disney rides extremely well, I've never heard of that happening before. Usually when the ride stops it does it on it's own because either the game crashed or a security system sensed an error but it doesn't full stop. There are only really three things that could've caused that. Either a ride operator pushed an emergency stop button, someone pulled a fire alarm or just the ride lost power. Also the Buzz Lightyear ride constantly stops for people who need extra assistance to get on and off a ride so it's pretty common. Same thing for the Haunted Mansion and Little Mermaid rides.
Pour one out for Chad Chad series of horrible days, holy shit. If I was in her place I would have fucking lost it lmao. The fact that Disney's customer service is just as unhelpful and rude as American Airlines is pretty embarrassing for them😂 #Disneymagic edit: I wanna mention that I'm talking more about the way Disney handled the ride breaking down and how little empathy/respect was shown to the people who got stuck. Working as a cashier fucking sucks and they get much more leniency from me.
Over there time, chad boyz has become my favourite type of video both of you do. Like wow. It's perfect for intent listening but also listening while being at work. Thank you for this blessing!!
Jordan is right, statistically, it has to be so unlikely that ALL of those things would happen in such close sequence. That's insane lmao. I would have laughed, cried, given up, slept on the airport floor, I don't know.
i feel so bad for those little kids who were stuck on the ride too like as a very anxious kid who cried her eyes out on the pirates of the caribbean ride at disney orlando i cannot even imagine how i would’ve reacted to being stuck in that ride for 25 minutes with that alarm going off i probably would’ve shit myself even now
When I was like 5 I got stuck on the journey to Atlantis ride at sea world right at the top of the drop for around an hour and then when the ride started working again there weren’t any announcements and no lights or sounds turned on or anything it just dropped after being held there for ages I thought I was dying because we just started freefalling and I didn’t know that was intentional
The story of the alarms sounds scary but if it makes you feel better the other ride she mentioned is supposed to stop, that means that someone with mobility limitations needed more time to get on or off
Completely aside from the terrible experience Chad Chad had, I have to say it's always fun when events like Creator Clash and Vidcon happen because it's like the RUclipsrs Cinematic Universe with all these cameos. I wasn't expecting to see Evan and Katelyn in a Chad Boyz video and even though the situation was terrible, it was so nice seeing other creators I love!
Clearly they don't plan for emergencies if the staff seemed so unprepared taking so long, let alone the fact that you can't actually get out of the pod. Thats so dangerous
How to transfer things in a travel container: Setp 1.Put in ziplock bag Stetp 2. Snip the coner of bag Step 3. Ues as piping bag With this method you can transfer most consistencies while having control of the opening size. You can also easily scrap the bag to not waste any product
i need jarvis to know they sell these mini syringe and funnel and scooper things specifically for travel-size products, usually in like TSA travel kits
I sort of completely forgot people other than ChadChad were there in the airport with her until she mentioned someone punching a wall. That really got me from laughing til I can't to breathe to just sort of devastated for the people there. Someone out there was trying to fly out for maybe the most important thing of their life but possibly missed it because of this whole thing. Delays are quite common but just the continuous cycle of, like Jordan said, Lemony Snicket's A series of Unfortunate Events is just astounding.
40:45 I totally get that, the way I think of it, it's totally understandable for overworked employee letting something snide or abrasive slip out, but it's also understandable to be upset by something snide or abrasive, regardless or where it comes from
I was at Epcot last week, in line for Frozen (just because), and we got evacuated out because of an emergency as well. Not positive what was happening but I saw a cast member mouth "fire?". I imagine there were people on the ride that needed to be evacuated as well, but man that's insane. I would have been freaking if I were locked on the falcon.
8:51 its wild that they caught the moment the siren started, and got like, everyone stiffening and their faces changing as they processed. You can literally see the mood drop as everyone starts testing their seatbelts
i had a flight cancelled by american, ended up waiting 10 hours at the airport for a new one and missed a full day of my trip BUT they gave me a $12 meal voucher 🤪
This is insane because last spring me and my brother went to Disney land/world and on the same millennium falcon ride we also got stuck. The screens were off and the seatbelt stuck but we had no siren. It still played the game audio. For about 20 minutes we were stuck in here with NO clue what was going on.
Chad chad is waaaay to graceful in how she handled this. I’d have lost my mind and would have become a Karen at not only the airport but even more at Disney. That’s totally unacceptable and I am so sorry she had to go trough such a terrible experience.
The fact that if there was a fire or some shit they would have fucking died. The employees straight up saying “no we evacuated everyone already” is so insane. They would have died if there was a really serious emergency. Fuck the staff for real for that. That’s a genuinely traumatizing story I would have cried.
Also, Chad Chad, your "sounds like a skill issue" I'm DED!!! You are so incredible 🤣 that whole bit was just, Chad Chad spitting truths, Jarvis not wanting solutions 😂
That airport story hits so close to home. Last winter, I was flying to Argentina to see family, and our connecting flight was maybe one minute late, and when we got to the terminal it turned out that they gave our tickets away and we would be stuck in Texas for an unknown amount of time. It took hours of begging to have them give us a hotel room and the ability to secure tickets for a flight.
Thank you for all the timestamps in these videos, they're very nice since I can remember conversations starting but then I zone out and have to remember where to rewind, the timestamps make it so easy to restart 🙏🙏💕💕
whats wild is that Disney is still one of the highest quality theme parks when it comes to rides, customer experience & safety, & the fact that they either didn't have much of procedure to evacuate those pods quickly or just didn't follow it is extremely worrying
This video was so INCREDIBLY chaotic wtf 😭😭 I was trying to watch this quietly (so I wouldn’t disturb my family) late at night, but it was impossible with how many unexpected turns the stories kept taking hh
I love a crazy travel story, because I've had a few myself, and they always suck when they're happening, but they make such great dramatic stories to joke about, and they aren't so high stakes that it's traumatizing, and the comedy of how they seem to never end, there's always another mishap
The fact I had to explain like the whole internet to my parents just to express out loud how absolutely terrifying the ride situation is to me speaks volumes. Like I would genuinely have a panic attack in that situation, I have no idea how everyone managed to stay calm-ish. I'm glad everyone managed to get out (mostly) alright but seriously that's an unacceptable situation, it's probably a good thing so many of the people involved have a platform, maybe there'll be some change or resolution.
That kind of stuff happens a lot at Disney. It wasn't nearly as bad because of how the ride is (ie we weren't trussed up in tiny pods), but something similar happened to me recently on the other star wars ride. Some people got stuck on "it's a small world" for over an hour. Not sure whether the alarm or the song would be worse to listen to.
I would have cried at the airport, cried in the rental car, cried in the tunnel, and cried at the dude telling me i forgot the receipt. The fact that she didnt makes her a superhero in my eyes. 😢
my first ever flight there were severe thunderstorms at one of the airports (my trip needed to go through three) , but all i had to eat was a hashbrown at like 8am so at this point its 11pm and i havent eaten anything. i had been sipping a juice like rations since i didnt wanna try to eat somewhere, afraid if i did the plane would abandon me. the help desk line was insanely long, my stomach was growling, i was exhausted, so by the time i got to the help desk i burst into tears, like full panic attack. and all the restaurants for whatever reason were closed by this hour?? at a 24hour large airport??? HOWEVER, a couple walking by gave me fifteen dollars and the help desk lady gave me her yogurt. no vouchers mentioned i just played zoo tycoon while crying in the lobby. anyway shout out to those people.

@@MrCrunch808fr. So glad to see a sane take, here
Imagine fumbling this bad on the day when your customer base just happens to be 90% influencer.
This story infuriates me as well as a ptsd survivor. Everyone of the victims Deserves compensation for their experience and a full refund.

As someone with severe confinement trauma I would 10,000% be seeking a check from Disney, that is INSANE
Especially those parents and kids!! That’s so horrible

Yep!
Idk how they can get away with how that ride is designed to trap people tbh it's buck wild
@@sammymitchell3990 lots of money
i'm loving the story of Chad Chad and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
chadchad has so much patience. i would have been sobbing the ENTIRE time having to deal with flight and hotel issues 😭 that’s actually one of the most stressful things for me
It's wild that they kept insisting that everyone had been evacuated when the people they were talking to were literally on the phone with people who had not been evacuated.
as a theme park enthusiast, that alarm is... genuinely unreal. emergency stops ("e-stops") are relatively common, but I've never heard of an alarm like that blaring throughout, especially at Disney. that paired with the incredibly poor handling throughout, is downright horrifying. then getting caught in various block zones on Astro Blasters...
Cedar fair parks are the S tier parks tbh
The alarm blaring like that could genuinely have been dangerous too, there was an incident I remember reading about where a disabled man was stuck on It’s A Small World for about half an hour and had his medical conditions exacerbated by the loud music, I can’t imagine how much worse it would’ve been if it had been an alarm like it was here.
disney is tbh to me less of an actual amusement park and more of just like. a disney fan experience or whatever. great america or six flags (either cali location) are all much better for the rides & i think significantly cheaper
I would have had a huge ‘I want to see the manager’ moment after that Disney ride experience. I would have been on a warpath.
It's downright shameful they didn't offer.
right? like I'm a generally laid back person but that sounds like the moment to manifest an inner karen
personally i’d be looking into the potential for a class action suit for everyone who got trapped on that ride with no way out from the inside

Chad Chad is ridiculously chill for someone who just had that kind of week. I'd be so tense and on the verge of tears constantly.
At a certain point you just become a husk
I would've had a nervous breakdown.
The exception is Tokyo Disney Sea which is managed by a different company and unsurprisingly is thought by many to be the best park.
i feel like this should’ve been titled chad chads unluckiest trip, it’s honestly a hilarious chain of things gone wrong all for her
It’s absurd that they were stuck in that pod that long with no one letting them know what’s going on.
It's so disheartening that victims are never believed. It's crazy that the first impulse of many is to doubt no matter the situation.
While I agree with you, in this situation this is Disney. It's not that they didn't believe her, it's the fact that if it's more than can be handled with a bandaid, the incident has to be written up and reported to regulatory authorities. They'll try anything to minimize things in order to avoid any sort of repercussions.
@cissyiniguez yep that exactly it. They want to save their own ass.
Work customer service a bunch in places like that and you'll feel like they do. And as others said, the report.
i really hope that if any of you send a case through you actually get compensated :( disney does not have a good track record with compensating people who are injured in the park unless it might be a child. my mum, on the first day of our trip, slipped on a wet bathroom floor in disneyland paris & broke her arm. they sent her to the hospital connected to the park, but everyone there was super unhelpful and the language barrier didn't help much. there were some children going in and out of the hospital who were given mickey plushies and treated before her. it took her the rest of the day to be seen and treated and when we got back home we were told they had given her the wrong type of cast to cure her fracture. for the rest of the trip she couldn't go on any rides. they gave us a few free fastpasses & an icecream voucher each for compensation, but we sought a legal case after. disney came back to us with an offer for £500, but that barely covered the cost of our holiday, and meant literally nothing to them as a multi million dollar company, so we declined. the case was ongoing with a personal claim solicitor for 4 years, seeing at this happened around 2019 before any conclusion.
What ended up being the conclusion for all that mistreatment of their customers? A few vouchers and free ice cream seem so outrageous as compensation

So!
Often times bags will continue on to the destination either because:
(A) The runners do not yet know the passenger didn’t make the connection-they are just reading their paperwork, the bag tags, and getting the bags to their proper flights as quickly as possible.

The fact that Disney's customer service is just as unhelpful and rude as American Airlines is pretty embarrassing for them😂 #Disneymagic
edit: I wanna mention that I'm talking more about the way Disney handled the ride breaking down and how little empathy/respect was shown to the people who got stuck. Working as a cashier fucking sucks and they get much more leniency from me.

This is insane because last spring me and my brother went to Disney land/world and on the same millennium falcon ride we also got stuck. The screens were off and the seatbelt stuck but we had no siren. It still played the game audio. For about 20 minutes we were stuck in here with NO clue what was going on.
The shampoo conversation was such a "these people are clearly friends" conversation, I am dying at "seems like a skill issue"

Dude I love Jordan for referencing a series of unfortunate events

I love the ancient human tradition of making little bracelets for people

Finding out Chad a had and Amanda from Swell Entertainment know each other and hung out is awesome. Some of my favourite content creators.
whats wild is that Disney is still one of the highest quality theme parks when it comes to rides, customer experience & safety, & the fact that they either didn't have much of procedure to evacuate those pods quickly or just didn't follow it is extremely worrying
Chad chad telling Jarvis he had a skill issue with pouring the items into travel size bottles was probably the best part of the pod
This video was so INCREDIBLY chaotic wtf 😭😭
I was trying to watch this quietly (so I wouldn’t disturb my family) late at night, but it was impossible with how many unexpected turns the stories kept taking hh
I love a crazy travel story, because I've had a few myself, and they always suck when they're happening, but they make such great dramatic stories to joke about, and they aren't so high stakes that it's traumatizing, and the comedy of how they seem to never end, there's always another mishap
More Chad on the show!! Perfect note to end the week on 💖
The fact I had to explain like the whole internet to my parents just to express out loud how absolutely terrifying the ride situation is to me speaks volumes.
Not sure whether the alarm or the song would be worse to listen to.
i feel like the song is more dangerous because the risk of ending everything yourself is stronger than any external threat
I think when it gets stuck for that long they actually turn off the music
I would have cried at the airport, cried in the rental car, cried in the tunnel, and cried at the dude telling me i forgot the receipt. The fact that she didnt makes her a superhero in my eyes. 😢
Just listening to Chad Chad talk about all of that gave me anxiety, I have no idea how she got through it without any mental breakdowns
my first ever flight there were severe thunderstorms at one of the airports (my trip needed to go through three) , but all i had to eat was a hashbrown at like 8am so at this point its 11pm and i havent eaten anything. i had been sipping a juice like rations since i didnt wanna try to eat somewhere, afraid if i did the plane would abandon me. the help desk line was insanely long, my stomach was growling, i was exhausted, so by the time i got to the help desk i burst into tears, like full panic attack. and all the restaurants for whatever reason were closed by this hour?? at a 24hour large airport???
HOWEVER, a couple walking by gave me fifteen dollars and the help desk lady gave me her yogurt. no vouchers mentioned i just played zoo tycoon while crying in the lobby. anyway shout out to those people.
