Still the best phone I ever used... SD 845 and IR face sensors were too dope
Ir face I'd?? I didn't knew about it
@@viramaraharv5388 yup it did had IR Face scanner, same tech that apple uses
@@viramaraharv5388Yes the PF1 has a IR led on the front that would help the phone use face ID in pitch dark too. I used that feature quite often.
@@viramaraharv5388Just like apple face I'd
Yes i used to click selfies in total dark, it was fun 😂. Everyone thought it has night camera.
Good video, but one correction - It does support 4G+. In fact, it has 5 carrier aggregation and it works flawlessly. Been using it since 2018.
Yeah, I was using Jio 4G+ in that phone
Yes I'm getting carrier aggregation with airtel too
@@Odia_bhaina Same here on Airtel.
Agreed, I've seen 4g+ in Jio.

5 years of POCO F1 user here, one of the best Phone I have ever used & bought. It is still working and my mum is using it. The only drawbacks I felt were the speakers. Definitely for the price the display is something u cannot complain about. But stll apart from speakers and display it still gets the job done in 2023!
Speakers are still loud, it's because of dust which is on speakers...try to remove backpanel once and play song you will be amazed with that... while replacing new battery i removed back panel and played song that time i found the actual reason, i had blue back panel replaced with new armoured one and my speakers are working like they were on first day...
So take out back panel listen song if it's loud then problem is that dust clean that dust on speaker and let me know if it worked for you or not...
The speakers were amazing for me
@@xenji7121 yes it's just that dust on speaker so either clean it or replace with new back panel...

I had bought my F1 back in November 2018,and used it till Feb 2022,and the experience was stellar especially when the Pixel Cam was used in place of the default Xioami camera app.I distinctly remember the "Do the Maths" campaign done by Poco to upstage OnePlus, and also recall Beebom doing a video about debunking that particular claim. This video was nostalgic, and brought back so many cherished memories spent with this "budget flagship".
Poco F5 had the potential of being the true successor of Poco F1 or that market-disrupting phone if it was priced a bit more aggressively
It came till 22k during BBD. Idk if any other phone could be priced that aggressively in the current market

Bought F1 on the flash sale in August 2018. Still using it as my daily driver running Pixel Experience ROM. I replaced the battery for 700 rupees last year and changed the charger once. No other issues so far. Absolute beast of a phone! 🔥
MY POCO F1 FACING BATTERY DRAIN AND AUTOMATIC SWITCHOFF ,IS THIS CAUSE YOU TO CHANGE BATTERY? HOW IS YOUR EXPERIENCE BY CHANGING THE BATTERY?? IWANT TO FIX MY PHONE'S PROBLEM😐 PLS HELP ME
In the same year I bought its nearest competitor.....Honor Play...it also has a flagship level chipset (kirin) i used it for around 4 years ...
It slowly got slow and battery started dying.
But apart from stuck in Android 9 forever ( no dark mode) it was still a good phone
Let's be honest, that ONE phone that you're talking about might well be the POCO F5, with all those power-packed specs at such a low price. But, like you said, the company's track record can do wonders, and with all those motherboard issues, its unfortunate the phone doesn't get as much recognition. All we can do is hope for the best and hope POCO does something phenomenal to turn around its name and return to its past glory...
I have the Poco F5 and it was the best choice I made
Such a good Price and extremely good Performance, average Camera and fantastic overall!
Me also using Poco F5. It awesome in any aspect expect the quality of the phone. Firstly I didn't noticed, but later on I feel the quality is not that good. The plastic back is the main thing, when we fire up the sound above 60%,plastic back gets heavily vibrated in some frequencies. I played a racing game(drive zone),while playing that game the sound of the car makes the phone heavily vibrates on the back(but that vibration really gives the feel of driving that car😅(like PS4,xbox),that feedback from back gives an amazing gaming experience.lol😅)
In reality the build quality is the one thing that I feel bad about this device.
POCO F5 USERS,YOU DEFINITELY TRY DRIVE ZONE(racing game) WITH A BACK CASE. THE FEEDBACK IS AMAZING 🔥😅
@@nabulsi08dude what about battery life, I feel like mine is draining little too fast. I have to put it on battery saver all the time to get a full day battery. Speakers sound worse without Dolby Atmos.

Still using it as my primary, purchased on the very first sale somewhere in late Aug 2018, still rocking thanks to its amazing customization community, working flawlessly (atleast more stable compared to current gen phones under 20k), its amazing how a 5yr old sensor on this thing does a 4k 60fps, and it goes support 4g+, the only phone to come closer to this in terms of value for money is the F5, during the sale a lot on 'em have bought with exchange for around 18-19k which defo imo is a great price to buy the F5.
I have used it since September 2018 changed just a few days ago.Its working absolutely fine even after 5 years in terms of UI. No lag or jitter.
Same here brother ❤️😌
Don't lie man. I used a poco F1 and I don't get the hype for it. Within a year, the phone was plagued with bugs and performance issues. Even normal scrolling had lots of jitters. Bruv, I just switched to Z Flip 4 one month ago. I have the same Poco F1 variant that you have (Blue, 128 GB). The only problem with my unit was the battery. Even though Z Flip 4 has very low battery life compared to other normal phones in this segment, it is a huge improvement over the old Poco F1. I used DerpFest custom ROM. I even got the November 2023 security patch when I last checked it a couple of days ago. Poco F1 was truly a legend.

I was using poco since 2019 until recently when I bought nothing phone 2 ! I had custom rom installed on it and it worked amazing ! The battery was a huge headache though and the display felt very outdated . For 21000 rupees spent in 2019 , it was totally worth it for it to serve me 5 years ! Truly a legend
I am using it from last 4.5 years and my phone hangs a lot. It's so frustrating. Any way to make it faster?
i waiting for this phone review after these many years. i am still using this phone flawlessly using lineage os. Thank you for making video on it
Please keep making such videos!! Presently choosing a phone has become a tough task. And the ones we like are notoriously expensive. So yes if the budget doesn't allow one to buy a latest phone one can go with old king phones just like moto G32, poco F1
I think the POCO F3/Mi 11x is the new kinda flagship in 2023, works like a charm With custom roms, performance is still top notch, good display, speakers, decent camera, great rom support, and on top of that was available at 22,000 in the last sale, or you can buy it refurbished at 15-16k, still great deal in 2023
Edit: It also support 5G so future proof too
Was my daily driver untill x3 pro launched. Now using poco f4, but f1 still going strong as fathers secondary.
Bought one in 2019 and still have it as my daily running Android 13 Pixel Experience. Overall very smooth for daily use and casual gaming. Still has at least another year left before I retire it or relegate it to secondary phone.
Still my primary phone🔥✋🏻
Great video tribute to the legendary F1😍

*_Poco can still be a Flagship killer even if they resurrected the Poco F1 with a better chipset (SD 8 gen 1+), Amoled display (with less notch, In-display fingerprint scanner) and an IR based Face unlock still intact._*
And 4k 60
Yeah like the k20 pro.. with new chupset and even more better camera sensor.. but without popup camera
That display Size is ideal and I don't know why companies don't bring atleast 6-6.3 inch phones...
Currently watching this on my poco f1. Been using it since December 2018. Have given consideration multiple times to purchasing a new one, but continue to use the same and very contently. Hoping to use it as long as it lasts(atleast 2 more years). 🙌

Still using this as my primary phone! Everything works perfect, it's camera with GCam beats most of the mid-range phoes of today.
Only drawback - No software updates

I'm using Awaken OS, have the old Gcam, don't remember the version but that's the best one. Sometimes I feel Poco Gcam takes better pictures than my iPhone 15 plus.
i recently upgraded to ip 14 during bbd and i really miss poco f1,used it since launch. it was almost perfect except the screen (replaced trice) and the after sales service was horrible
🙌 Watching this video on a Poco F1 bought in 2019, using it as my daily driver. Runs smooth till this day.
This video felt like a shorts. So quick and straight forward. No sponsors,no ads,no promotions. Really appreciate Beebom team 🔥❤
Still using it since January 2019, had a battery change last year. Planning to continue for 2 more years ; only challenge is that MS-Teams doesnt support Andriod-10 for my work organisation
Watching this video on my Poco F1 I bought back in 2020, still works great. Only problems I face are Battery which lasts a day with moderate usage and low sound problem which I think might be due to dust accumulation.
Using the 6/64 GB variant from the last 5 years since 2018. Probably the best phone considering price to performance ratio. Still finding a reason to upgrade to a newer phone.
Gotta upgrade soon though
I guess the year 2018 was the best year of value for money phones, ZenFone 5z, Poco F1 and OnePlus 6 was launched with SD845. I still own ZenFone 5z, and i can proudly say, it's still working awesome. But my friend's poco f1 starts lagging after 3yrs. 🙌
I think the performance as said here... Proves that phones atleast in the mid range have not taken that big a leap in technology as much as it is advertised
bought it in the first flash sale still using it, had to change the battery last year other wise working great
I gave that phone to may dad.. and it still rocks!! The iR sensor was awesome. I'm using iQOO but i miss that feature of facial unlock in extreme darkness
Last software update done got any issues ?
Watching this video in Poco F1❤️❤️
5 years now, still using as secondary Phone
We have got one Poco F1 as replacement for a Poco X2 which had motherboard issue. Now its with us as a backup phone.
Bought the armoured edition 8/256 for 24k back then, still using it with a changed battery. With G-cam it still takes awesome photos that you can easily compare with a 30k phone today. Great value and great experience. Legend!
Which gcam version??
Latest gcam version link?
Got it in 2018, I still use it with - Elixir OS- and this thing and make some 2023 phones run for the money, also it has best in class face unlock and simple design, its sturdy with so many drops it still holds up, i only changed the battery and its just riding as always. Even the camera is pretty good and get you decent photos, i love it and only my new Z Fold 3 got my eye and made me switch but before the fold 3 not a single mobile made me switch except the LG wing which is just getting dust somewhere in my drawer
Still using it as a secondary phone with pixel rom. Swapped the battery out recently with a duplicate one, unfortunately Poco is not supporting the phone in service center anymore (no spares).
From 2018 i chenge multiple phones and back to f1 cause this phone vas very durable and performance was awesome now cause of custom rom it still a beast
I'm still using it as my main phone... I got 6/128 varient and still it runs genshin impact at 45 fps at medium-high settings with ease and I barely feel any lag although it does heat up a bit if I play more then 20 minutes but hey a 2018 phone still being able to run a game with that huge map is still great for being a 25k budget mobile from 5 years ago
Watching this video on poco F1. 5 years down the line the phone still working like beast. Just changes display 3 times. Overall happy to have this phone
You know what! I still have an 8-year old Lumia 830. Though it is not a daily driver and with the capacitive buttons not working, it is still a gem of a phone with deep black color, always-on-display, intuitive UI (personal opinion), and the fluidity that is Windows Mobile.
Still have both of F1s working just fine. Flashed the pixel experience on it and they are smooth as ever.
Still my only daily use phone 5 years no major issues only issue I face was phone auto reboot couple of years ago it sorted after security patch and ofcourse the battery performance dip a bit but as I am not a game user it's manageable now it's major issues is camera started to heat up if I continue to record more than 4 to 5 minutes and during day time it's even faster. I hope to upgrade my phone next year.
Best phone i ever had ,rooted it overclocked it did a pixel software and g cam in it was giving crazy picture , best night shots too but i lost the phone while riding my bike, miss it .
Was using POCO F1 since 2019, last month upgraded my self to S23. now planning to use it as my back up phone.

I owned this back in 2018 and still Using with custom ROM, frankly its not as flagship as it was before but compare it with the 20k budget phones now it won't be noticeable to use in terms of performance, YES you can use this if this is someone's spare phone and expect it to run day to day tasks quite smoothly 😊
I am using it from last 4.5 years and my phone hangs a lot. It's so frustrating. Any way to make it faster?
