    So the liquid cooling system used is real and not a gimmic like many are saying. It looks quite similar to the note 9 system.
    Hats off to Xiaomi for making a really great device that everyone can afford.

      I have a Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus and I really hate when people look down to Xiaomi as a budget phone company. If it's a budget phone but WORKS, then why we have to look (or say) at it like ist's a cheap garbadge (I'm not saying that everyone thinks Xiaomi is a bad phone company)? I don't rant Jerry (Zack) I just want to say it out and see what's others opinion.

    • @dispiedark8682
      @dispiedark8682 6 лет назад +136

      Btw I bought the pocophone f1, 2 days after this video, very happy with it, it feels like a durable premium phone that will last. i get up to 1.5 to 2 days on a battery, so very nice.
      I put the Note 9, one plus 6 and pocophone in the store next to one and other to try stuff out opening apps and games, they feel the same aldo the one plus 6 felt more smooth. I have small hands and for me both the Note 9 and One plus were not nice in the hand they felt slippery, thin and i kept sliding it up and down in my hand or needing 2 to operate it. So the chances of dropping it gets bigger not something i like on a glass phone. The poco plastic is grippy, the phone is thicker and to me that feels more natural in the hand, i barely use 2 hands on my poco, the finger sensor prefect for me, one plus was ok, Note 9 i have to move my hand up for it very annoying.
      The Note 9 in the store the S pen was already not working properly anymore, I reset the S pen but just as my note 2 the S pen did not work very well and will probably stop working within 6 months. I had 3 S pens on my Note 2 and none of them worked very long or well. So that extra feature for me falls away, seeing the Note 9 still has those issues. Then there gaming the pocophone in the store was less hot and preformed better in games then both.
      But then the big selling point for this phone performance to the price, just to give you a idea for 2 year subscription in my country for 3 gb of data and unlimited calling/sms in country:
      Samsung Note 9 was gone cost me 54 euro subscription a month and 800 euro for the Note 9 extra
      One plus 6 was gone cost me 45 euro sub a month and 500 euro for the one plus 6 extra
      The Pocophone cost me 24 euro sub a month and 165 euro for the pocophone extra
      Crazy right the difference, i really see no reason for anyone to buy a more expensive phone, but then again the real test starts now real use.
      My samsung Note 2 lived 6 years it still does battery just needs replacing, then its good again. So now we will see if a cheap pocophone will last me 6 years, if it breaks i let you guys know.

    • @TheRagingsayin
      @TheRagingsayin 6 лет назад +4

      I'd prefer a note 9 but at least your going with a exceptionally good phone, I had a note 5 for a few years but upgraded to a note 8 this year, I have never had s-pen function problems with either of my notes the only problem I've ever had was once I thought I lost my note-5 s-pen only to find it a few hours later(I've heard of people putting the s-pen backwards into their note 5 and it would get stuck, which is beyond stupid). I've had many phones in the past (iPhone,LG,had a grand prime for a few months but I ended up wanting to upgrade to an s5 and last minute decided to get the note 5.) once you get a note you'll never go back, i kept my note 5 through the s6 and note 7 edge and when the note 8 came out I wanted to upgrade but at the same time my note 5 was still good and working properly, so I kept it until later on this year when I decided to upgrade due to water damage in my note 5. If it wasn't for the water damage I would have kept my note 5 for as long I could.

    the way you say and time "lets get started" with the power-off and then the intro earns my like every time its so satisfying. If that doesn't get the like then your audio quality does the job, the content of the video is just a bonus to that silky ear tickling goodness. Just as an after-thought, can you make a video where you discuss upcoming mobile devices with your predictions/suggestions for those pre-ordering fiends and perhaps a time-line of when you expect to be able to get your hands on these devices? Another after-thought (sorry for so many edits) could you make a guide video or tips video for people interested in getting into the mobile device hardware repair industry? that would be very interesting and Im certain a lot of viewers would like to see such a video.

      @Swift Boiz I bet your ass that this "overhyped Chinese knockoff" helped alot.
      The Mi 8 cores reach 44C and the phone overall reaches 77C by just running throttling test.
      While the Pocophone handles the test with ease to the point that it won't even give readings.
      Heavy workloads in 15 minutes gets it to around 30-33-36 which is basically its idle temperature.
      Pocophone is just chad, temperature here is 47C in the summer but this thing keeps itself cool.
      I used to make fun of the cooling just as you until I got myself one, I will never regret it.

      @@エズカイレズ Me too, but you see Jack isn't the selling point of the Poco, the selling point is its decent price, overall good quality, and most importantly (if you care about gaming) a full package that includes 4000 mAh battery and proper internals.
      Mi 8 got 845, but at what cost? Anybody can slap a 845 under the hood and call it a day, but Xiaomi this time did actually rethink their mistake and the way they rushed Mi 8, so yeah
      The selling point would be how the 845 stays cool and being the cheapest 845 phone and yet one of the best 845 performance you can find.
      Mi 8 horrible heat up to 77C by just running throttling tests, cores reached around 44C or even hotter.
      But the Poco? Not even a single alerting temperature, highest I ever got is 39C while playing PUBG for straight up 2 hours 60FPS HDR full brightness while being charged.

      @Anis DALI It is pretty decent so far, if you don't mind gaming you can go for another decent phone like the OP6 (as avaliablity comes into play)
      But, if you want to play PUBG nonstop and Keep it cool go for the Poco, it isn't a huge compromise as Poco itself is way too decent for its price and does what's promised, 845 with 845 performance.
      It's easy to slap 845 under the hood and call it a day and that's exactly what Xiaomi did wrong with the Mi 8, rushed and it reaches 77C by just running the temperature/Throttle tests.
      While Poco doesn't even reach alerting Temps.

    • @fennviktorvich
      @fennviktorvich 6 лет назад +10

      @Anis DALI Currently, I can play PUBG for straight up 3 hours HDR at the highest Framerate setting (I can't give you specific FPS) realistic setting at full brightness with the charger on, highest I got was 39C and that's pretty decent.
      Without the charger it is 36-38C

    • @fennviktorvich
      @fennviktorvich 6 лет назад +5

      @Anis DALI Yeah it is great, remember to rate the phone itself not the entire brand, as you can see Mi 8 is good looking and all, but it heats absurdly..same brand but what matters is that nobody should rush design.
      Long story short, Poco may not be an impressive "phone" but it is definitely good for future proofing as Xiaomi is still updating its older models.
      OP6 is decent as well.

    So basically, its a simple solution for any phone with over heating problems. I tink A copper pipe fill wit thermal paste would b enuf. Copper could actually extend to any parts that is not heat sensitive, make a bigger copper plate or sheet.

    • @shahilgupta8176
      @shahilgupta8176 6 лет назад +1

      Well, considering wireless charging is a thing now, it would be hard to implement copper heat pipe in such a way but yes, if no wireless charging, then it is a viable solution but only in certain cases

      Opened few phones, found copper sheets.
      My question is if i add in thermal paste, would that reduce temp further. Provided it dont ruin other parts of da phone.
      For poco, da liquid cooling pipes could actually extend to da whole frame. Donno y they did it short. My guess, some brand will do it better. Oneplus? I cn only hope.

    Definitely want the Pocophone. I have been uninspired by phones of late. The only one that caught my eye was the P20/Pro and if I wanted to go notchless the Mate 10. For the cameras and performance mainly. Then I found the price and your durability test which drew me away. I feel the Pocophone has nailed it, other than NFC. Water proofing and glass isn't a must have and what this device delivers is nothing short of spectacular.
