There is whole rabbit hole story with dead Poco phones. Especially with M3 model, they were dying randomly like crazy after couple of months. It was never repaired by service center, they just swap motherboards and prey customers won't come back. People suspected bad PMIC and they did what You just did, but phones will not live much longer. Prblem will be back. It is bad chip, bad design, bad quality control, or combination of all of it. Your instinct to go for PMIC was very on point.
I agree because I'm currently using poco m3 and had bought it back in 2021 and it just died after few months, sent it back to service center and they replaced the motherboard, it's still working fine but i still doubt it might give up someday.
same with my friend his poco m3 after months just suddenly dont boot when restarted it goes forever then i watch some indian yt tutorials removing the shield on some ic that it was protecting and all is well, the indian tech yt says maybe the caps inside of the shield expands and gets shorts to the shields, because the spaces are so so close, ive tried to remove it and never had any problems.
Master Sorin that phone looks a lot like a kodak model kd50 (yes, the company that makes cameras for a long time) and I hear good comments from its owners. Brand Poco? I haven't been to stores that sell cell phones in a while, but I'll take a look. Excellent repair for that device that you faced for the first time. Thank you very much for your time and sharing. All the best.
sorin my friend has a poco m3 "budget phones of the model f1 poco series" after a month when rebooted the phone is on but cant boot the android os, some indian yt tutorials remove the shield on one of the ic that its protecting and the phone boots, the indian guy theorize that the caps inside when expanded due to thermals and current shorts to the shield and thus do some shorts or grounded the chip and causing it to not boot, ive tried it and problems go away and still rebooted it many times its a okay, my friend never experience this problem but it seems poco is design as budget or maybe some thigns like design and QC were compromise to sell cheap.
Iam commenting this from a poco F1 armored edition The best phone i ever bought for me Love to c my electronic teacher repairing my phone 😌🤩 As a technician i don't like any other poco models
This is Xiaomi sub-brand. All of them have power management issues. Poco is cheap flagship like in terms of performance phone. Earlier F series are well respected.
Quick/ultra/fast charge is killing those chips to time because they heating a lot if you want to have your phone longer turn that off, chips nowdays are poor quality...
Sorin ,I would like to request a video illustrating process how to steps to diagnose a dead Iphone 11 ??? .I'd love to see how you do it.I got an iPhone 11,charging issue, phone is dead. How to steps to diagnose a dead Iphone 11 ??? .I connect the charger and it appears to charge but wont power on ? .I'm going to buy a new battery to see if that's the problem. And still have the problem.Thank you very much.
Due to heavy usage of smartphones, The CPU gradually dries up due 2 heat & many problems arise. There are no proper heat control methods like PC available in smartphones.
Hi master Sorin, nice to see you again. I have a problem with my acer aspire 1 its not turning on but the 19v is open. I put my my multimeter on beeping mode and put on pin number 8 of the BIOS cheap and it beeping but on the first pin its not beeping and on the coil after the 3.3v power supply. how can i solve that issue
Why will anyone send this phone for repair from Greece to UK if you can buy a used one for about 120-150 EURO ? 0-50ma 50V, problem very common with Xiaomi and Samsung A series phones (usually PMIC have to be replaced) And I do not understand how or why Android users need a data recovery ? It is automatically backup to google as soon as it in WIFI range.
Well to answer your question, i live in Uk so nobody sent it from there also coz i need the data. plus not everything is backed up always i found out except the contacts nothing else was backed up in my case.

On Poco M3 you just need to delete one of metallic shields. The smallest one. It’s typical problem. Often it happens after restart

What temperature do you use to reflow the chip here?
Quick/ultra/fast charge is killing those chips to time because they heating a lot if you want to have your phone longer turn that off, chips nowdays are poor quality...
