Just a TLDW: Factions are arranged according from least beginner friendly to the most. They are ranked according to three factors: How expensive they are, how much forge progression they need and how hard they are to play. The factions are NOT RANKED according to how STRONG they are. That can vary every month.
@@TheEcclesiarch I've just Googled list of Angron's friends and Google gave me zero results. It seems that Angron is not good at making friends, maybe he is introvert
@@WookieRookie He's like Tchai-Tchai from Terry Pratchett's books. He has no friends, but on the other hand, he has no enemies either. And that's cool.
BJ has a similar but different take on this with Tyranids, you can have easy access to Tervygon who is a great warlord, and that means you could have Hivefleet Leviathan as your first legendary card, and then collect the Overwhelming Swarm and Infestation node, that's 1 Legendary and 4 epic cards, for a meta deck, which is quite inexpensive The problem of course is that you would still need Digestion Pool, and that you will be playing Tervigon, which is an hyperspecialized warlord, nothing else plays like that, and it may be quite difficult to learn, to the point that it was branded a trash tier Warlord until Pootis came in and redeemed the warlord
I started with Nids. I think the faction is pretty easy to pick up and play. The idea is to just overwhelm the board until something with swarm sticks. The faction has loads of troops with great stats that can be very difficult to remove, and Tervigon has inevitability and endgame. Not having Digestion Pool early sucks, and it clearly helps the gameplan of keeping a healthy board, but for some other factions, I feel like with Tyranids, you can very reasonably win games until you get better cards. Also Neuro + Overwhelming Swarm + Infestation Node is broken and available in the campaign.
As someone who has been playing since early access started, I knew Nids were gonna be last haha. Need soo many legendaries and epics. If I can convince any of my friends to play I'll definitely link them this video.
😂 I chose the Tyranids when i started playing coz I was fresh off the Decimation of Baal book, n I thought they were cool. Took alot of Ls but I still love them. still missing ravenous hunter though 🤦♂️
Hi Ecclesiarch, I'm a new player, and your videos are very helpful! Thanks for your content, and keep it up! I have finished my Necron campaign, and I have premium for it. I have all the cards for the Necrons, except for 5 legendary (that I do not intend to use right now, even 2 of them being "meta"). I would like to ask you, do you think I keep doing missions for the Necrons (to get more cards and progress forge), or I should go now to other campaigns to have access to new factions? Cheers!
I think it is always good to start doing other factions as well, once you have a functioning deck. Realistically once you have 2-3 legendaries you should be good to go. For Necrons aim for: Imotekh/Ramatekh (one or the other) Tomb World Ressureciton Orb as your priority legenadries.
I have been playing WP for like 3 months, i channelled all my resources into nids and basically it's the only thing i play and im already legendary, mostly with tervigon and neurothrope. Still haven't managed to get to forge level 20 and it's not only a slog, it's also extremely sad
Los Ultramarines son los mejores para empezar, mi primera legendaria al concluir la campaña fue celo vindicador y una de las mejores legendarias que puedes tener.
Hey ecclesiarch how much should i focus on one faction at a time? For example i got almost all the ork cards except some legendaries, and i wanted to start tyranids and the tervigon wich a couple of unlocked wildcards took me to iron straight to almost gold, the ork deck is way better optimized
I think you should first aim to complete 100% of the campaign. And by that time for most factions you should already have a playable deck. (unless the faction is very expensive) Then move to the next campaign. Once you have all campaigns at 100% then u can start just farming packs on the last node. Also don't underestimate Forge rewards, it gives wildcards and packs.
@@TheEcclesiarch yes on orks i completed it several times in fact, and i wanted to see how other factions play(playing the same faction can be tiring for a long while) and Tyranids seem really great, disheartening to say the least that they require alot but I won't GIVE.UP!
Hey! Welcome to the game! So: you can have 2 copies of any card in a deck EXCEPT legendaries. They are limited to one copy. However in DRAFT mode, it is possible to play multiple same legendaries.
@@TheEcclesiarch thanks for quick answer ! I got one more question. Do legendaries or epics drops from booster packs? If they do its gotta be REALLY rare because I have opened quite a few already and didnt get a single one :D
I mean as in how many epics/legendaries you need to make the faction competitive. For example for the Astra militarum you need very few while for Chaos you need a lot of them. And of course many legendaries mean you need many packs.
Ofc Militarum is easiest, they just came out legit a few weeks ago and ppl dont know how to fight them very well yet, kinda surprised Legion are so low, but then again these guides arent really for lower level ranks, this is for making a deck and boosting up to platinum
@@nothingsjim if you purchase a prem campaign u might have it in a week or two cuz it will give u 3 legendaries (one random and two wild cards) one advice is not to use the wild card until u see which random legendary u get

In HHL some factions are not friendly at all. Like look at World Eaters, does anyone want to befriend Angron? No? I expected that

imho Kelloc is one of the most hard lords to play (that's why we love him).
