I enjoy watching and someday hope to buy one of these for myself and even eventually one for each of my sons down the road. Keep doing what’s in the best interest of your company and the customers. The reason they have always been this way is because they just have a Tennessee mindset. It is different in Tennessee. Randy is like thousands of people from Tennessee. I've lived in Cali, Texas, Japan, France, North Carolina, and several other geographically and socially extreme different locales. But Tennessee always calls me back. I never knew just how fortunate I was to grow up there until I traveled the world. It's a Tennessee thing, you wouldn't understand.

    I wonder why the guys who were let go couldn't form up a team of folks to offer services to the folks who later decide they want a deck built, screen porch,underpinning put on or a myriad of other add-ons or services that they need done around the communities. (I know if I lived there, I would want someone to come do the maintenance service you need to do on a minisplit, possibly twice a year, because even though it's simple, I just can't physically do it anymore.) Seems there are a lot of opportunities for these folks who have learned skills before being laid off to pick up some jobs that the new, trimmed down ITH crew won't have time for. Maybe ITH could put up a bulletin board to let ex employees post the jobs they can do, or residents to post what they want done. Just an idea...

    You first blamed the economy of the layoffs but just from observing from a long time subscriber (me) this ain't kosher. Seems your sales are down is part of the problem and perhaps over extending and spending then asking for investors and now branching out by buying all that land in Morristown. I live in Florida and am seeing homes being built like crazy and sold. Value of homes have gone up considerably. I only hope those who were let go can find other jobs to take care of their families. Yes you have a business and situations occur. Seems you bit off more than you could chew. For years I've been a subscriber and have seen a change. I honestly wish success in all your business ventures. Just an honest observation and opinion here. I truly love your homes.

      How many years have you been watching? Just curious, because you seem to insinuate that something is wrong. When you say "an honest observation and opinion here"', you never give a clear opinion. You just talked about Florida and how expensive it is there. And you said you hope that the employees who were let go find jobs. Do you have a take on what ITH offers for the price and how many people they've helped shelter themselves? How much does a house cost where you live? I have looked for about 5 years and can't find a better deal.

    • @susanbeals7597
      @susanbeals7597 4 месяца назад +2

      They haven't bought any land in Morristown/Russellville, as they've said many times. When people are struggling in this economy to pay for groceries they aren't buying big ticket items. It's no secret sales are not what they expected when they hired & trained more people. The increase in sales didn't materialize, so they're back to leaner, more productive staffing levels to adjust. That's all.

      What company owner. Would not stop at some point. And assess the books. As no company can survive without money. Cutbacks in employment. Happen every day. Because for a company to exist and continue to grow. It has to adapt to change.. And you can feel the pain. Because of the friendships. But at the end of the day. You have to do what is best for the company. I don't think you should have to defend yourself every day. For the decisions. That are made...

A slowdown is necessary, and that is exactly what is happening. I respect the leadership for being honest with the viewers. I’m glad these individuals have gained skills they can transfer to another business. However, I feel the output will not be substantial. While productivity has likely increased due to multiple factors, I suspect fear is a significant motivator. Hopefully, I’m wrong, but I believe that's the main reason.

You can get insulation that is made of blue jeans if you want. But most people just go with the industry standards, like ITH makes their homes. @@healingjourneys4241 Absolutely. I can't tell you the title of the video.... But they have addressed the concerns of several customers in regard to the chemical make up of spray foam and the panels they use for some of their homes. They also offer homes built of all wood. And they have actually insulated homes with wool, denim, and the common "pink stuff" (fiber glass) sold at the big box stores. They will bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. I remember years ago when they made a home for a lady who had a child that was sensitive to every thing under the sun. They built a tiny home that was chemical free. I can't imagine what it cost, and haven't seen them do another like that. But rest assured, they have heard the concerns of many hundreds of customers, and they have researched the data. You might have to go back several years ago when they were only making custom homes. I think the chemical free home was made at the Inka plant.
