Thank you Evan for this excellent piece of content. I saw myself in this topic, because I had leukemia at the age of 17 ultimately pushing me out of the ordinary life a teenager has. Since then I feel like I have no clear goal other than enjoying life. Don't understand me wrong, I live an awesome life, but I always have the feeling of missing out on something. I have rarely any passions other than my RUclips channel, but I haven't found my clear way there neither. It's a harsh topic and I constantly feel like giving up. But I won't. It might sound stupid, but your content and the fact you yourself are also just starting out motivated me greatly, thank you so much. Im looking forward to new stuff my guy.
It doesn’t sound stupid at all. I started this with the target audience being ‘myself 6 months ago’, which sounds stupid but… someone related. I guess you’ve just got to kind of start… and by the sounds of it you already have. I’m glad this video helped, I appreciate you.
All the things we consider indicators of "success" in life are optional. There's no obligation to pursue a career, get married, start a family, get a mortgage etc. If you're not actively pursuing those things, maybe it's because those things simply aren't for you. If a slower, simpler life appeals to you, then that's what you should aim for.
The only life you can be behind on is your own... and comparing it to what others want or what others have will only stop you from starting. I think you're right, go along your path, whatever that might look like :)
Mom's and their love of grief and drama screw people up a lot. It helps if you have a Father that can steer you away from this. Sadly, that trait is gone in most Fathers.
I actually disagree on this one - my father raised me to have a relentless drive toward whatever I want to achieve. I think the reason this is such prevalent problem is more so down to how fast the world is progressing. (15 years ago barely anyone had heard of RUclips) What do jobs actually look like in the future? How do I set myself up in the right way? This kind of uncertainty that leads people to having this very issue of ‘feeling behind’, can’t just be put down to parental attitudes, but the lightning speed of the world today. Hence why I aim to make a community for those willing to share value to others in that position. 👌
@@evanbnormal I appreciate the opinion, but I have to disagree. most people, when in therapy, just pretty much speak about the damage their mom's do to them. in most bible's God is presented as being male. there is a link here.
@@flamingocupproductions5329 I agree, the presence of a male figure to provide direction in upbringing is undoubtedly important. However I do think this issue has also stemmed from the increased speed in societal changes as well. At the end of the day it’s never down to just one factor 🤷♂️

I love how you presented it.
Thanks a lot.
No problem, hope it helped 🙏

I love Jordan Peterson more than my actual father.
Authentic!
Thank you
I feel the same way.
Incredibly meaningful! Fab episode!
Thank you 🙏
Very profound
Just pondering
How can i forge my own path when what i seek does not exist?
Well what do you mean by it does not exist?
As in the ‘thing’ you actually want does not exist, or the feeling you want?
