I just purchased the Oase Biosmart 10000 and your video is very helpful in understanding the extra parts to purchase for making a cleaner look around my pond. I have had my large pond running over the years using a pressure filter, gravity filter, and even a pool filter without sand media, but this is the first large size gravity filter that I hope will be the last filter I ever have to purchase. I am looking forward to being subscribed to your channel now for future pond pointers.
Hi. Just want to say thank you for all your videos. I have watched a lot of them today after finding you, and I just say you have put my mind at ease with all the useful information. Thanks again and keep up the good work. 😊
Hi, great video. I am struggling to obtain a reducer pipe 3inch to 1 1/2 inch as in your video, all the reducers I have bought are too big as apparently they are designed for pressure pipe which is thicker than Oase, where can I get one to fit Oase pipe please.
I just had a 25k gallon swim pond with fish built. It has two wetland-style filters. One is a small, not very deep wetland at the top of the waterfall, and tge other uses a centipede. It also has a negative edge intake bay as a skimmer. The water's visibility is incredibly clear. The only thing i would have liked to have had on the system was a mechanical box filter where i could place filter pads, micron socks, carbon & purigen to really polish the water. If i were to use a box system like this, how big would it and the pump feeding it have to be? Thank you!
Hi Love your videos, I'm about to get my 1st Koi Pond installed in the spring, I've kept fish all my life but never Koi. I'm interested to hear your views on the all pond solutions pressurised filters? Do you think they are up to the job? I'll have a 3.5m2 by 1.5m deep pond with a waterfall Thanks
Hello pondman I've been using Oase Pond Equipment for 30 years. I've just purchased the 36,000. Excellent Mechanical Filtration. Is there anyway K1 or any other Biomedia be used with this Unit .I suppose you could put it in a Filter bag ,but I doubt it would do any good Thanks Jason
Best way to think about filter media, if it’s wet then bacteria will be there so all filter media is biological, bacteria aren’t bias on when the dirt ends up as that’s where they will be. But yes you can put other media in if you like but the sponges are both mechanical and biological
Hello, wondering if all pond filters are gravity based and there for need filters above water level? Im asking because i have a 300g indoor tank and nothing marketed for tanks is enough filtration for the inhabitants that i have. (Currently running 3 canisters at 200g ratings totaling only 600gof filtration and i need more)
I’ve inherited a pond build 3m x 2m x 1.2m deep from a friend who needs help moving his fish. Would you recommend an Oase box filter like this be suitable?
Hi sir . I think you might need a bit more visual information to get your message across , I sort of get where your coming from but some of the details are hard to understand. By no means is this a criticism , because I know fully well watching your videos that you are both very proficient at your trade . Perhaps a more detailed schematic drawing may be a possible answer , but I’m presenting you with yet more work when you probably overwhelmed as it is . Kind regards 😀👍👍👍
Thanks for feed back. Tbh it’s just a few simple connections diagram pretty much says it all. Simply reducing and converting from large ridged pipe to smaller more manageable flexi

we did a video on pressure filters, they arent bad but box filters are usually better as they are generally bigger but take up more space...
