I killed my first cool masdevalia, but then later when I felt brave enough to get another one, I got warm growing masdevalias, like Florabunda, and they are doing great!
Really interesting news!!! There is a guy in my orchid society who have succeded to grow and rebloom Masdevalias in the inhospitable climate of Greece. He bought a big cage for rabbits and he covered it with fabric that was touching a bowl with water,so it can be wet all the time. With the evaporation cooling, the temperature is always much lower than outside and the humidity higher, just think about it,it is relatively inexpensive and it works without any other device.
PlantzNThings i have them in my basement i check them everytime i do the cat litter so every other day if not everyday. . Net pots dry out really quick so I water more often then the others in clay pots and plastic
