    Excellent!!! It was this morning I was attempting some shading with grease pencil but that old overlapping made it difficult. Thank you very much.

      And I'm guessing it was.
      It can't be that hard. All you need to do is remember what alpha is being used, remember all strokes to a separate image as if they have alpha of 1, and then once you release the mouse button, all that image gets assigned new alpha and then added on top of the one you've already had.
      Hm. To be honest, it's been a while since I've last used grease pencil. Probably I'm wrong here then.

      @@tempname8263 strokes are not images but a shader that works exactly like geo even has wireframes..etc, so it's not as easy as you think.

    I sugest to keep also the old method, even with the minor artifacts it functions similarly as the "Flow" variable that for example Photoshop has in its Brush Engine. It emulates a pencil (or an airbrush), because the alpha acumulates without needing to cut the stroke lifting the pen constantly and with a much finer control than just the "Strenght" variable. It's similar to graphite onto paper, and therefore, optimal for sketching
    The new method doesn't allow the alpha to overlap until you release the stroke, even if you increase the pressure. It always draws "in the back"
    The brushes in the Texture Painting mode already have a checkbox to enable/disable this feature, and it's called "Acumulate". But of course, that is in a raster context

    I have the letest version 2.92 i guess and the problem still exists so...i don’t understand where is the fix. I experience some unnatural overlapping strokes in default brushes and i think it was better couple of versions before.

    Awesome. Unless I missed it please add in some shortcuts to switch between the brush and the eraser.

    Holy crapballs this is so damn good.
    Just noticed when you duplicate a material it not added straight to your material stack which can make adding colour palettes a bit tedious.
    Maybe a ctrl & click option could fix this. Out would simply be seeing another layer of functionality.
    That update is incredible. Well done guys.

    Good Job! Maybe the old and new method could stay coexisting in GP.

      Yes, it's a developer version. Our idea is add an option in 2.81 to enable/disable, but we cannot add this option for 2.80 because UI cannot be changed now due release date.

    Cool! I just wish we'll get a new brush engine it still feels like drawing with points curves and polygons unlike vector brushes in other applications such as Krita or Toon Boom Harmony.

    El sistema de partículas capilares sigue siendo muy manual, el principio Shader Hair ya es fantástico, logramos crearlo de una manera muy intuitiva, pero cuando se trata de peinados y muy cansador, todavía tenemos muy poco material sobre el cabello hecho en Blender, hay alguna posibilidad para que los desarrolladores trabajen esta herramienta para las próximas versiones?

    These are great updates. But since then, the end of the strokes have not been the same. The sensitivity in the end of any stroke never fades smootly in size and opacity like the begining of any stroke always do. This detail was correct in the previous versions. It is very anoying sketching this way. :c(
